I moved here just over 5 yrs ago. The first time we had a date here, Redwood City BBQ is like Heaven exploding in my mouth. The juiciest succulent pieces of meat melts in my tongue like ice cream. Isela took timeout to sing my boyfriend, Happy Birthday in Spanish to him. I have to admit that their slow cooking method is to die for. We travel all the way from San Bruno to Redwood City just to eat at this one place, REDWOOD CITY BBQ! No other BBQ can stand up to their astonishing standards! I no longer eat BBQ meat soaked in BBQ, it's just Not right. Redwood City BBQ does it the perfecto way!!! Thank you especially Isela for making it the best date ever!

Mmm, okay - fine but nothing I tried was especially good. RWC isn't a BBQ-dense food landscape, so with that in mind this place can scratch the itch, but even with the dearth of options, there are more impressive spots nearby (e.g. Capelos).Got a two meat combo (pork ribs and tri tip) with garlic bread and double Mac n cheese (kiddo wanted one of them). Meal came out quick after being ordered, though the tri tip was only room temp when it arrived. Both meats were pretty fatty and in a not-slow-rendered/smokey way (fatty can be pleasant but in this case it was just texturally flabby and bland).BBQ sauce was just fine - simple, not a lot of layered flavor, but it added some flavor that the meat needed. I preferred the spicy BBQ sauce to the original. Mac n cheese was simple but enjoyable - tasted Parmesan heavy which may not be classic but we liked it enough. Same with garlic bread - basic but good. Folks working here seem friendly and helpful.Overall, it's not worth a BBQ quest but if you're looking for a quick meal and "just okay" is good enough, then it's serviceable.

We had visited this location before but can't remember if this was the same name, Redwood City BBQ. Anways, stopped in for dinner with a friend. They have a restroom but it's outside. Interior is simply designed. We ordered and shared these BBQ meals. Served with 2 side & slice of bread. The meal also comes with pickled cucumbers, red onions, and jalapenos.Burnt Ends with potato salad, baked beans & cornbread. The burnt ends were juicy and smoky. The beans were good, though maybe a little underdone on some of the beans. But smoky, and had some heat from the smothered spicy BBQ sauce. The potato salad was pretty tasty.Brisket with French fries, coleslaw, & garlic bread. The brisket was tender, juicy. A good mix of lean and fatty. The coleslaw needed something. It just seemed.like chopped cabbage. I wouldn't order this again. The fries were hot though potato-y. So a bit underdone.Pork Spareribs with French fries, mac n cheese, & garlic toast. The ribs were tender, juicy, and smokey. I'd definitely get this again! The Mac 'N cheese was good.Stubborn Black Cherry Tarragon Soda. I enjoy this flavor alot. The service was ok. Not the friendliest. They seemed preoccupied with other things or not having a good day.

We tried the brisket, corn bread, potato salad, coleslaw and pumpkin pie.The brisket was delicious. We asked for a fatty piece and they accommodated our request. Corn bread looks like a slice of bread and not a traditional corn bread muffin. It was sweet and good. Potato salad I really enjoyed. It had the right flavors. Coleslaw wasn't my favorite- I felt like it needed something but my husband says it wasn't tangy which is what I'm used to. Pumpkin pie was delicious. Service was fast. Staff was friendly. Restaurant is clean. I'd come back again.

Juicy, flavorful, and tender ribs! BBQ sauce is not needed. I tried the Family Pack #5 which cost $120. I was surprised that there was an additional charge for cornbread (which I did not enjoy). You're better off choosing the garlic bread at no additional cost. I also enjoyed the tri tip. Not so much the chicken. It was too smoky for me. The bread pudding comes with an absurd amount of rum glaze. 3 stars for the pudding.

Nothing special at all, brisket and Mac n cheese are extremely flavorless.I've tried this place several times thinking perhaps hoping I just came on a bad day but their food pretty much sucks and I'll never go back .

Yummy bbq , amazing homemade cornbread and sides are decent, but bland potato salad. This is a casual restaurant with counter service, It is more expensive than it should be, but meat is nit cheap right now. I loved the pickled veggies that were included with the meals.Expect to spend about $30 per person and use a lot of napkins. The ribs were a tad tough and we got a whole rack of them. My special needs adult son was very comfortable here as they had booths and he loved their macaroni.

Food is always exceptional and customer service is always incredible. My favorite is the brisket, but all meats are delicious! You have to try the garlic bread too!
