This little gem in my neighborhood. Why didn't I find you before??Food - 5/5 it hits the spotAmbiance - 5/5 its a vibe. Good music, good selection of screen play. Tg it's not football or sports. This place is authentic and says 90s music. People - Karina, Alvin, Jose - alllll the staff. I cant remember rest of names. Customer here is 5/5 and service 5/5Love you guys!!! Oh Pizza rating - living in NYC the bar is high for a good pizza. This place is it! Over north beach. Yessss!

TLDR: 2 stars based on one delivery order that made me wish we had driven to Costco for $10 pepperoni pizza, or ordered from Joyride. Longer: I dislike writing less than 3 star reviews, but here I am feeling great disappointment after ordering/consuming a Detroit Style pepperoni pizza less than one hour ago. [I decided to step away before posting to ensure I wasn't being overly harsh... and nope, still disappointed :( ]Maybe it was a bad night for the kitchen... ?Maybe they were slower than usual inside so I got a forgotten, previously cooked pie... ?Maybe our delivery driver rode through the cold with the box guiding his way like Rudolph's red nose... ?Maybe you'll have a better experience dining in, and shouldn't let this review for one delivery order sway you...We were craving pizza yet had no energy/patience to make our own nor any desire to leave the house to pick up. We have our usual "go to" pizza spots, but I wanted to broaden our horizons and Pie Punks caught my eye.You know how they say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it?" That applies for us in this instance.The first bad sign = the box seemed small, then I picked it up, and it was light (especially vs. comparable price/style pizza we've gotten elsewhere). Once I lifted the lid, the real disappointment began to sink in. "I made a mistake!" I exclaimed to my boyfriend.The dough was flat, no fluffiness or bounce that I've come to expect from this style of pizza. Flavor did not meet expectations either :\ the pepperoni pizza is described as having a spicy tomato sauce, and I by no means wanted my mouth to be on fire, but I think they gave us the wrong sauce, or someone missed adding spice to the recipe the last time they mae a batch.Can't speak to ambience, as this was a delivery order. I'd be willing to give a second chance irl if it's the one option for food with friends, but will not be going out of my way to do so.

When I lived in the area, I would walk by this place all the time, but thought it was a cocktail bar (lol). I've only discovered this place because I was at a nearby cocktail bar, and was buzzed and hungry. I yelped any food places nearby and this was 3 blocks away, so I walked over here with some friends. People outside couldn't stop raving how good this place is. Though this place is sit-down with bar seating, we were doing a to-go order. We still happen to wait in the same line as those who were getting seated and it took us about 30-45 mins to put our orders in then another 10 mins to wait for the pizza to be ready. I think for efficiency, people making to-go orders should be able to place it early on so we can get out of the space, as it can get crowded. Next time, I'll just order ahead probably. Lots of options for pizza style. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and it was good - the crust was soft and it was warm, nice to eat on a cold night. My drunken friends said it was the best pizza they ever had, but I'm not sure if it's because of the state they were in, but the pizzas were pretty darn good! Going to make sure to stop by next time when I'm around for first Thursdays ;)

FoodTried a slice of pepperoni and a slice of the sausage. My favorite between the two was the pepperoni. The bread is fluffy and tastes freshly made. The pepperoni ingredients were flavorful. The pepperoni was really good, I'd come back again to get that.I also tried the beet salad too which was okay.AmbianceThe vibe is cozy and they serve drinks (cocktails etc..) there too. It's cool that it feels like a bar but with high quality pizza.ServiceStaff were great and friendly!

When I first entered on Monday evening, I liked the casual and inviting atmosphere with dim lighting and sports playing on the TV's at the bar. But it was confusing where and how to order. I just found someone in the back and sat myself at a table. From there, service was top notch, super friendly, gave me a recommendation for pizza, and refilled my water without me asking. I ordered the cinis appetizer, a sausage slice, and a pepperoni slice for dine in. The sauce and cheese on the pizza were minimal and not evenly spread throughout each slice, but the toppings and overall flavor were definitely good, the pepperonis crisp on top, and the pizza grandma style with crunchy edges. But even after being reheated and served to me, it tasted somewhat like it had been sitting out for a while, meaning not the freshest. The cinis on the other hand tasted freshly made, served hot, delicious and fluffy inside.I'm eager to try a freshly made whole pizza here. If the not-so-fresh slices were good, the freshly made pizza must be stellar. I'll definitely be back to find out, especially to try the fredo pizza too.

Ordered online takeout via Yelp before heading over there (for the first time, wasn't sure how this was going to pan out; no pun intended). When I got there, I went straight to the bar, to let them know I was there to pickup a takeout order. The server was very friendly and the place wasn't packed (great timing). The server shortly came out with my completed order. I was expecting to pay for it right then and there, but she said it was already taken care of. But the funny part is that I never input any credit card information when submitting the order online via Yelp. I'm going to check my Yelp account right after this, to see where my CC info is saved. But nonetheless the process was quick, easy and effortless. Even with takeout, the food was still holding well. From the salad, to the cinis, to the pizza. Loved the lemon dressing on the arugula. And I loved putting the salad onto the pizza as well. The pizza itself had crunchy edges but the crust also had a spongey bounce to it, which I liked. The cinis were the only items I wish had more flavor to. Without the spicy aioli, they were plain to me. That aioli elevated the flavor, but it still needed something to cut the fried/blandness to it. I couldn't finish it all, both cinis and pizza, which both tasted just as good, the next day, straight from the fridge, no microwave. Would like to try the food in person at the restaurant next time, to see if that changes anything, flavor profile wise. But I would definitely come back to try the other items on their menu as well!

It was packed on a Thursday night and we decided to order to go. We had to flag down a server just to order to go. They said it would be a 5 min wait but we probably waited around 10 minutes.Space is pretty tight so just waiting for your order or waiting to be seated is quite awkward cause there's no where to wait.Finally got our pizza and it was alright. One of the slices was burnt at the bottom. We ordered the grandma style slices and I wasn't a huge fan. I'm willing to give this place another try and trying the Detroit style which they seem to be more famous for.

Came here at 11p on a Saturday because the craving for food hit and it was sooo good. I got takeout and there was definitely a wait - depending on party size, that could be longer for a seat. Small place with a bar along one end and tables along the other. Got a full size pizza with sausage and it's just my favorite type with square crust and a bit deeper, great cheese to sauce ratio

ive come here a few times after work with friends and I love it! pizzas are good, service is friendly, and the place is loud/fun.my favorites are the sausage, mustard, vodka martini, and onion pizza. I always get a red wine too and they fill it to the rim ;)it is usually pretty crowded at night but you can always grab a seat at the bar and eat. last time I was there they were playing movies on the tv/projector too!

Really great spot to meet up with friends for a casual dinner!! Great beer, fun tiki drinks, and slices of pie. What else do you need?
