This is, without a doubt, the best place for pho in San Francisco. I always get the kids' size (which more places should offer, honestly), and it's the perfect portion--enough to be satisfying without feeling overly full. The broth is rich, deep, and perfectly balanced--no shortcuts, just real, slow-simmered flavor. The noodles have just the right texture, and even in the kids' size, they don't skimp on the meat. But the real surprise? The chicken wings. My friend--who orders wings everywhere--decided to get them, and right as they arrived, the random guy next to us looked over and went, "Chicken wings?" And we just nodded, "Chicken wings." No further explanation needed. And honestly? They were incredible. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and way better than expected. If you're even slightly curious, just get them. You won't regret it.Beyond the food, the prices are great, the service is quick and efficient, and the vibe is casual and unpretentious. Meanwhile, across the street, you could spend twice as much for pho that won't hit nearly as hard. No thanks. If you want incredible, no-nonsense pho that actually delivers, this is the place.

I'd give this a 3.5 but there's no .5 so leaving it at 3. A really solid pho option for inner sunset. The brisket was tender, and the rare steak wasn't tough which was good. Service was fast even though the place was fully packed. From what I saw when I was there they do a good job turning over tables pretty quickly when there is a line. I'd go back next time I'm feeling pho and in the area.

It's our go to after kids sports in this part of SF. Pho Ga and salted plum soda fit the bill. Excellent broth and the place is packed!Highly recommend. Service was great. Go. It's easily our favorite pho place.

I had a great experience at Kevin's Noodle House (Pho Huynh Hiep 2). The service was super fast, and I loved being able to pick my own seat. As soon as I sat down, I was greeted with hot tea served in a pot, which was a nice touch. One of my favorite things about this spot is the option to order smaller portions of appetizers instead of committing to a full order. This made it easy to sample a variety of items without overordering, which I really appreciated. For my entree, I absolutely loved the rice dish (Com Suon Bi Cha Trung Op La). The rice was flavorful and moist, especially with the sauce from the grilled pork chop. The pork chop was excellent at first, but the sweetness of the marinade became a bit overwhelming by the end. However, it paired beautifully with the over-easy egg, veggies, and rice. The pho I ordered was also very good, but I have one small grievance: the beef toppings for the Dac Biet Xe Lua were a bit sparse. For a large pho, I expected more beef and tripe in the broth. After a few bites of meat, I was left with mostly noodles and soup, which was disappointing. On the appetizer side, the egg rolls were fantastic and paired perfectly with the sweet fish sauce. The chicken wings were juicy and flavorful, making them another highlight. There was plenty of indoor seating, and the staff was very attentive. They made sure everything moved efficiently so that patrons waiting in line could quickly get a table.I ended up here because Gao Kitchen across the street was closed, but this is definitely a solid alternative in the Sunset District of the city. So far, it's one of the best spots I've found in the area besides Gao.

The pho here hits every single time, super soft noodles and well seasoned soup. Service is quite fast, but sometimes there's a wait to be seated. It is a very casual spot, perfect for chatting with friends/family.

Kevin's-- the spot everyone comes to for affordable Vietnamese food. It's the spot that I used to come to in high school with limited cash but I could get a bowl of pho for $7. We all know it's standard quality, nothing crazy, and fast service. They have an array of options ranging from pho, to rice plates, to vermicelli. It's reliable. My family and I decided to come here for Saturday lunch and were seated immediately. There's a decent amount of seating here and we were seated at a large table where another couple was already eating with the only thing that separates us from hearing another party's conversation is the divider made of utensils, napkins, and sriracha. Food comes out incredibly fast. They're efficient-- you eat, they bring the bill when they see you're almost done eating, and you're out within the hour.

WOW. This place is worth the hype and lines. We came here on a Sunday afternoon, and there were quite a few people lined up outside (as there always is). However, the line moves quickly and we waited for about 15 minutes before being seated. The menu is quite expansive, but since the restaurant name is "Noodle," we thought it was best to order Pho. I was shocked by the affordability and variety of plates they boasted. Where else can you find $14 for a large bowl of quality Pho? I ordered the Large Pho Dac Biet - this was spectacular. First sip of the broth already had me convinced. The noodles were the perfect texture, they have a very generous helping of beef, the tripe was chewy, the tendon was tender. I'm getting hungry for Pho just recalling this!If you are craving Pho and in the area, you need to give this a try. Only thing is that it is slightly difficult to find parking in the area.

This place has been declining steadily over the last year. What was one of five star restaurant is now a three. Tonight: dirty tea, cup, cold, PHO, fewer noodles, and chicken pieces ionly fit for my dog. Need to find a new PHO spot.

FOOD & DRINKS 5/5:Cozy little restaurant in Outer Sunset in the famous foodie street Irving. Pho is affordable and comes in different sizes. Also, they have smoothies with real fruit, just make sure you ask because some are powders. I got the avocado smoothie & it was yummy!

TLDR:No frills, authentic Viet cuisine. If you order like you know what you're doing, the staff is extra friendly. (Shout out to all my Vietnamese friends who have showed me the way! :* ) This was my boyfriend's go to long ago during his SFSU days, and today we choose to drive across town for Kevin's, even though Little Saigon is within walking distance of our apartment (walking on Larkin is way less fun than Irving *grimacing face emoji*).Longer: I wasn't the most adventurous eater as a child and young teen, but moving away for college, I started experimenting with a variety of foods, and by the time I graduated, was a regular, addicted pho eater.I took a bit of a break from pho while figuring out my food intolerances, and have more recently figured out how I can eat pho and not feel like death afterward. My first visit to Kevin's was the day after Thanksgiving -- we wanted a very different flavor profile than turkey and stuffing, and springs rolls + pho really hit the spot. Attentive yet chill and efficient service, they don't hover over you, but if you need something, always easy to flag an employee down. What I especially appreciated was the variety of authentic dishes beyond pho. Fast forward to Jan 2024, my boyfriend wasn't feeling great and had a hankering for Kevin's. As we were driving there, we learned Boyfriend had covid *face palm emoji* so we decided I'd run in (with mask on) to place a to-go order and we'd enjoy at home. It took no more than 15 min for two orders of pho and spring rolls to be ready to walk out the door. Everything was packaged thoughtfully, with the broth in a separate container than the noodles to ensure no mushy noodles whenever one finally dug in. They also included ample sauces. We've been back a handful of times since and I'm happy to call Kevin's my go-to pho spot!Pro tip: get a coconut or avocado slush with pearls, and if you're into gummy candy, stop in the corner store (Lucca Food Deli & Wine Shop) before heading on your way.
