Solid cheese steak.I got whiz, onions, plus hot and sweet peppers. It felt like the items weren't cooked together enough. Also, short on cheese. But, the overall taste was great.Bad garlic fries though. Garlic from a jar that tasted old, along with mid fries.

A Philly cheese steak shop down the street from me. Gf and I walked in hungry. Met Bo the owner nice guy and passionate about service and cheese steaks, super friendly. Plenty of Phillie gear. We both got the works. Sandwiches came out with soft bread and tasty meat and sweet peppers. It could have used more cheese. Overall the place and sandwiches were great. Next time I'll try a burger.

The burger at Phillies is alright. I had a cheeseburger w/egg $13, garlic fries $5.15 and a can of soda $2.50. It was kind of weird they melt the cheese on the tomato instead of the patty. They use shredded romaine lettuce and chopped grilled onions. I had to ask for raw onions and it came chopped as well. The patty needed more flavor. As for service, I ordered garlic tots but they guy gave me garlic fries. I hate to see food go to waste so I didn't say anything. My food was given to someone else and the other patron had to let the cashier know this wasn't his food. The cashier is also the line chef. It does get loud in there when the other chef is clinging his metal spatulas on the metal grill.

We have ordered from Phillies about 8 times. It's OK. The meat was a little dry and overcooked. The portion is a bit skimpy because it's in San Francisco. My husband and I did enjoy the sandwiches. It's a lot better than a lot of places where your bread is so hard you have to use a chainsaw to cut off a bite. They use the correct roll. Everywhere else, they use these baguette type rolls. At least you can bite into the cheesesteak and enjoy it. We usually order it plain with provolone. It would probably taste better if we ordered more stuff on it, but that would cost more, and we're cheap. It is the best cheesesteak we have gotten in San Francisco. We haven't tried anywhere high-end for cheesesteak. If we did, I suppose there would be more meat in the sandwiches.

Got the standard cheesesteak with cheddar and one with cheese whiz. Cheesesteaks lean a little on the bready side. Bread was soft and fresh. Overall good standard cheesesteak. Would recommend cheddar over whiz.Cheese fries are similar to school-cafeteria-crinkle-cut fries with cheese whiz drenched over them. Not terrible, but also not really good either.

Sad Cheesesteak barely any cheese and meat was dry. It was a sad cheesesteak. Garlic fries were cold and no flavor at all.
