I've visited Peasant Pies a number of times for the sweet pies, the blueberry, chocolate and apple crumble being the best in my opinions. On this last visit I purchased a chicken pie heated up which was very tasty and well prepared! The man behind the counter was personable and friendly, chatting with my girlfriend and I while the food was heating up.Thanks for a hot treat on a foggy day!

Peasant Pies Cafe is a lovely spot with a very clean interior and a warm, friendly atmosphere. The lady working there was so nice and made my visit even better. I ordered their classic chicken pot pie, spinach and feta pie, and the fresh berries custard pie.I appreciated that they warm up the savory pies for you if you plan to enjoy them in the cafe, which gives it a thoughtful touch! The fillings for both savory pies were flavorful and satisfying, but I wasn't a big fan of the breading. Personally, I would have preferred a flakier puff pastry-style crust, as I found the breading a bit too dense for my taste. That said, I can see how others might enjoy the more bready texture. What really stood out for me was their sweet selection! The fresh berries custard pie was incredible--each berry burst with freshness, and the custard was perfectly clean and not overly sweet. I'm definitely coming back to try more of their sweet pies, especially the apple crumble, which caught my eye.Overall, this place shines with its dessert offerings, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere. While the savory pies weren't exactly to my preference, the sweet pies alone make this spot worth revisiting!

WHEN: Sun @12pmWe were on our way to pick our lunch from San Tung when we came across this cute pie shop. I'm sure I've seen it before but closed. It's a very small spot with limited seating.I came in and was asked by the warm and friendly staff if I was thinking sweet or savory. I knew I wanted sweet and she shared that the most popular are Apple Crumble and Chocolate Flan. Here's what I decided:APPLE CRUMBLE - $5.75The crust was although dense it tasted so light and airy. I liked it a lot. The pie filling was sweet and I love anything that has a crumble topping. I may have gone into this shop for the pear crumble like stated on the menu outside but I enjoyed the apple pie...and I didn't even heat it up!FRESH BERRIES CUSTARD PIE - $5.75The fresh berries were BLUEBERRIES, and I appreciate how this treat was not too sweet. This was more like a tart to me and the crust tasted different from the apple crumble since it's not baked. It was soft. Really enjoyed this.I can see myself eating both all by myself. The pies aren't too big but they sure got lots of taste!

Fresh berries and custard pie is so yummy!!! Stopped in impromptu for a quick sweet treat, the custard was so creamy and the berries fresh and the perfect tarty contrast. The crust was flaky and enjoyed within moments. I would be interested to see what other offerings they have with changing seasons and produce availability.

Came in for an afternoon coffee and decided on the iced white mocha... wasn't the best but wasn't the worst. If I need caffeine I'll maybe add an extra shot or 2 of espresso. I couldn't resist all the pies so decided on a savory pie the beef and potato and that was really good. There were a bunch of options but $6 a hand pie is a bit steep for me to buy a bunch. Guy at the counter was really nice and gave great service. If you haven't tried Peasant pies before I recommend trying it at least once.

We ordered three pies to go: chicken pot pie, beef and potato pie, and spinach and feta cheese pie. The staff was able to heat up the pies and packed them in a paper bag with some napkins and we were able to bring it to picnic at San Francisco Botanical Garden. Warm, tasty, and filling. It's fun to buy different pies and see how each of them taste. I know the place was good when the next customer in line ordered 8+ pies... I would recommend to stop by for a cheap place to grab a bite near GGP.

My little girl and I went on a little date and wanted a snack. We came across this cute cafe and tried their savory pies. It was a hit for both of us! The chicken pie was nice and creamy. The filling to crust ratio was very good and don't feel like they skimped on the filling. Beef and potato was excellent too. It was difficult to figure out which we liked better. The cashier was very friendly which made the experience even better. Thank you, we will be back to try other stuff. Too bad we had a dinner to go to, otherwise we would have ordered more!
