If you're looking for a great brunch spot in San Francisco, Pancake Boy is definitely worth checking out. We tried a few dishes during our visit: the Smoked Salmon Benedict, Crab Cake Benedict, and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and everything was absolutely delicious. The Smoked Salmon Benedict had the perfect balance of flavors. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, and the smoked salmon added a nice savory depth. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and rich, bringing everything together beautifully. The Crab Cake Benedict was just as impressive--light, tender crab cakes paired with the same perfectly poached eggs and sauce, creating a satisfying and indulgent dish. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were a real highlight. They were light, fluffy, and had the perfect amount of citrus tang. The ricotta made them extra creamy, and they were just sweet enough without being overwhelming. The Ube Latte was creamy with a lovely ube flavor that wasn't too overpowering. It was a great balance of sweet and earthy, perfect for anyone who loves the flavor of ube. The Almond Lavender Latte was also unique, with a soothing almond and lavender combo. The flavor was reminiscent of horchata, which I enjoyed, but I wasn't a fan of the slices of almonds floating in the drink. While the taste was great, the texture of the almonds in the latte was a bit off-putting for me.Despite that, the overall coffee experience was still enjoyable, and both lattes offered something different from the usual café offerings. If you enjoy unique flavors and don't mind some extra texture in your drink, these lattes are worth trying.Overall, Pancake Boy delivers a solid brunch with great service, and the drinks just add another layer to a wonderful experience.

Cozy diner style brunch spot in Cole Valley. We ordered:Shrimp and sausage grits 4/5 - flavorfulLemon ricotta pancakes 3/5 - ricotta is a separate layer from the pancake where some places fold it in the dough itself. Pancake tasted a bit undercookedCoffee - free flowing refills Staff attentive and nice. Note place closes at 2pm.

Cozy breakfast spot in the noe valley area. This place is very popular so be sure to be ready to wait if you get here past 10am. I ordered the breakfast chilaquiles which came with a side of carnitas and topped with eggs and green salsa. The green salsa was tangy and had good flavor but needed more spice. Also came with a side of home style potatoes which were crispy and freshly made. We also ordered the corn beef hash which had real chunks of beef and fresh potatoes. Topped with sunny side up eggs and a side of the home style potatoes and bread of your choosing. Portions are generous and the food is delicious. Service was a bit slow. It took awhile to get our breakfast items in and sometime we didn't get coffee refills. It gets busy so I can see why it took awhile. I def want to come back and try more items

A good friend recommended this spot for breakfast and I know it's called Pancake Boy but I wasn't in the mood for pancakes. What I did see many people around me order was the marscapone pancake with candied walnuts. That dish had layers of marscapone between the 3 stacks of pancakes, topped with candied walnuts and banana. I ordered the corned beef hash which was delicious with chunks of corned beef stir fried with bell peppers and onions. The other dish tried was the Seaboard eggs Benedict which was over a slice of multi grain bread. Coffee is $4 a cup with refills. Parking in the area can be hard but with some patience and willingness to take a short stroll, it's not too difficult. The restaurant has outdoor seating and also a parklet, very dog friendly. Service is attentive and friendly. On my next visit I'm looking forward to trying their fried chicken over French toast and if you need your protein and eggs like me, they are available as a side order.

I visited Pancake Boy this morning and really enjoyed my experience. The servings were SIZABLE and prices pretty reasonable especially for SF standards. The menu is also quite creative but you can find your staples here as well. The inside was cute and clean and the outside seating had heaters and seemed nice. Service was friendly and speedy. Would highly recommend!

As others have said, it's a solid brunch spot in Noe Valley. You can't reserve a table, so you have to get there pretty early to stand in line. Not sure if it's Asian-owned or just staffed, but the menu is pretty eclectic. The ambiance was interesting as it felt like a standard diner inside. I suggest eating outdoors if the weather is nice. We ordered the ube lattes (can't make these bad) and an order of ube pancakes (delicious and sinful). For breakfast, we ordered an SF omelet (huge and filling) and an avocado toast (delicious with pickled onions). We went home feeling satisfied! But if you don't like waiting in line, there are other spots that have similar offerings where you can reserve tables.

This place has delicious pancakes and breakfast/brunch over all! I really enjoyed my banana pancakes when I was here. Soo good! The service was ok could be better. A couple behind us was served before us which is sort of rude. Still definitely going back and hope this place stays open. Oh and be prepared to spend some $$. This place is pricey!

Got seated outside right away on a Saturday morning. I was happy there's a cover/roof over the parklet as it was raining a bit during our meal. We ordered the shrimp and sausage and grits and a Benedict to share. Portions were large and service was pretty good. Food was fairly tasty but nothing overwhelmingly amazing. We were happy to check it out for brunch while in the area.

Came here for brunch with my boyfriend and we both had high hopes after seeing the reviews and the line out the door every weekend. I ordered the Wake Up Sunshine which was soju and orange juice, which was very refreshing on a hot Sunday morning. My boyfriend ordered an iced chai latte with oat milk, but it ended up coming to us hot with whole milk. It took us a really long time to flag down a server to correct this because it's not what we ordered. They gave it back to us, but it was the same drink just poured over a glass of ice, so now it tasted extremely watered down and the milk situation was still not corrected. This was not a pleasant start of the experience, but we just decided to let it pass since it took so much effort to grab someone's attention. For the food we ordered the lemon ricotta soufflé pancake and chilaquiles verdes to share. The chilaquiles were flavorful, and the potatoes were really crispy which was good. The pancakes were another let down since the middle was undercooked. I've had a ton of soufflé pancakes and they've never been basically raw in the center like this one was. The flavor was there but the texture wasn't in the middle, so we just ate the parts that were more cooked. Overall I don't think I will be returning given the service and quality of the food for the price point.

My friend and I went here one weekend. We luckily grabbed a seat outdoors, which was really lovely. We shared the PB's plate (3 buttermilk pancakes, 2 poached eggs, and bacon) and a side of breakfast potatoes. It was good! Nicely presented too.My only gripe is that the PB's plate is $25, which imo is wildly expensive. Possibly similar pricing to the other popular brunch places in sf.. but still that's kinda wild when the eggs and bacon (2 of the 3 items) weren't that different from any other brunch spot. So I'm taking one star off for that bc it's GOOD, but I think it would have to wow me to be that much ya know?
