Monaghan's Bar

Went on a busy Friday night. Fun crowd, great music. Busy pool table that can get tricky trying to navigate with everyone around. There is food next door that you can order from. Looked really good but I didn't try it.

Hi to all. Monaghan's staff is amazing.Mia is wonderful . Her personality shines. And Patrick the owner has great drinks which is a Irish sports bar. And which is a Chicago bar in San Francisco..Patrick and staff thank you .And merry christmas and happy new year.

Came here after work. Lots of tv. Have outdoor seatings and some tables inside but you can also seat at the bar area. They have free popcorn. They wr code for the restaurant next door but they are okay for you to bring outside food. As for the drinks, they have beers, cocktails, and wine or take a shot if you want too as well. They have a pool table and jukebox if you want to play music. The staffs are nice but they can get busy once the place started to get busy. Prices are decent/average.

Thursday night crowd was solid. Hockey was on, don't think anyone was following too closely. I appreciate a bar that finds a nice middle ground between divey and dressed up. Beers were well-reviewed all around.

The blonde server (I think Jess?) is the best! Took care of a crying customer and got our group drinks at the same time

Indoor..outdoor - Monaghan's is as versatile as they come. Makes me want to drink a Guinness when I come here and I don't even drink Guinness. Top 2 bars on chestnut and it's not #2

It's not the bar but the people. Worst bears bar ever. None of the "fans" are watching or care... they are rude and day drinking which could be done anywhere. It's prob the location... the Marina. If I move here, I'm creating a new bears bar. AND THE MIDDLE TV GLITCHES! So when the college kids are blocking you and you only have one tv.... It's ... uh.. painful. ! This is not it. None of this would be allowed in chicago. Maybe raise the volume of the tv?? No food, but you can bring it in. If there's another one, I'm game. I asked Reddit :( good beer/cider selection tho!

Cool place in the Marina for a drink. They have outdoor and indoor seating available. You can order and pay for your drink via your phone! Just scan the QR code at your table and your order will be placed using their payment processer, Cheqout. I do like the contactless option and it makes it a whole lot easier for the bar to process drink orders. This is definitely a divey, no frills sports bar with plenty of TV's to go around for your viewing pleasure. They are okay with outside food too (Super Duper is right next door).

Good bar to hang at and popcorn is a nice touch. Unfortunately taller blonde waitress is pretty rude. Everything else is great.

I paid $8 for a beer, and while I was talking to my friends, one of the emplyees came by and took it. He didn't ask to see if I was finished with it. He just took it and threw it away. I shouldn't have to guard my drink from the bar I bought it from.
