Our ice cream is freshly made in our shop daily, starting with a rich 16% butterfat base. Our milk comes from hormone-free cows that graze in open pastures. Most of our flavors are gluten free and do not contain eggs, but please call us at (415) 648-2300 to ask about specific flavors if you have a gluten or egg allergy

Get creative! Order an ice cream sundae or banana split any way you want it. Choose your flavors and toppings, which include hot fudge, caramel, mango, strawberry, chocolate, marshmallow and pineapple. Or try one of our Sundaes of the Month: Oreo Cookie Explosion, Mammoth Mint, Peanut Butter Blitz and many more. With a mound of our homemade whipped cream and a cherry on top, we're sure it'll make your day!
Choose from any of our 40 fabulous flavors for our 16 oz. and 24 oz. custom blended milkshakes. We'll make your shake just the way you like it, and for an added treat, top it off with our homemade whipped cream. We also make fruit smoothies, old-fashioned ice cream floats and freezes. We have something for everyone!
Our ice cream sandwiches are made to order, with freshly baked cookies and your choice of ice cream. Mmmmmm good!
We make this traditional Filipino dessert with mongo beans and sweet beans, buko, langka, ube, pineapple, kaong (palm fruit), evaporated milk, shaved ice and a scoop of our delicious ice cream. It's a novel and refreshing dessert that we make from late Spring until early Fall each year. Treat your taste buds to a new adventure!
We make our super-rich and creamy Eggnog drink with cream, sugar, eggs and rum flavoring. It's only available during the holiday season, from November until early January. We think you'll agree it's one great way to celebrate the Holidays!

Mitchell's is that FILIPINO ice cream spot. A classic mom-and-pop shop with some of the best flavors in SF--especially if you love Filipino flavors like I do. I got the Halo Halo and Tropical four, and let me tell you... chef's kiss. Creamy, flavorful, and the perfect mix of nostalgic and refreshing.A few tips to make your life easier: 1. Don't waste time circling for street parking--there's a lot in the back! 2. They use a ticket system, so grab a number as soon as you walk in, then daydream about your flavor choices while you wait. 3. Everything here is good--so honestly, you can't go wrong. Just pick whatever calls to you and enjoy.Long story short: If you love ice cream, unique flavors, or just being happy, Mitchell's is a must.

Thought I had already reviewed this place but guess not. Easy 5 stars. This is classic old school ice cream as it should be, but with a huge variety of typical and exotic flavors like Ube, Sweet Coconut, Regular Coconut, and Avocado.Staff is always friendly and they are generous with the samples so don't be afraid to ask for a few.There is usually a line but make sure you go inside and grab a ticket. You pull a ticket near the door and wait for your number to be called.They also do delivery and pick up on doordash as another option.Small parking lot in the back which I don't have much luck finding a spot but I usually find parking within a block or so. Definitely one of the best if not best ice cream places in the city.

As an ice cream lover, this place came highly recommended and I was excited to be able to try it. I would probably say this is roughly a 3-3.5 star rating for me.I got the chocolate caramel crackle after sampling a few flavors and liked it overall. It was filled with many crunchy bits that I enjoyed, as well as a lot of caramel. At the same time, I wasn't super blown away by any of the flavors I sampled. I'm definitely open to coming back though and trying them again. The staff was very nice and welcoming which is always nice.

Mitchells has been in the city forever, so I finally got a chance to stop by when I had dinner a couple blocks away. I was impressed by their huge range of flavors, especially the emphasis on Asian/Filipino flavors like buko, halo halo, etc! You're allowed to sample.There's no seating space really, so grab a number ticket and be willing to wait!

I always say this was started by the good Mitchell Brothers. If you're from the City you'll get the reference. And these brothers, Larry and Jack, created one of the happiest places in San Francisco.From strawberry to good old vanilla, spumoni to mango, the seasonal halo halo to the seasonal eggnog, hojicha to Thai tea, I have always found something to delight my taste buds here.And I love the new murals!

I have to say the ice cream here is good. The buying process is a bit chaotic! This place gets busy. To beat the line go buy the pints in the freezers and go to the express line at the very right side. Then go home and pig out on ice cream. The majority of the line are people wanting single serve cones. They have unique flavors too like a piña colada's and pistachio. Parking lot is small so that's a challenge.

Really good icecream. Ive never seen an icecream store having a ticketing system. I visited on a saturday dinner time and there were a lot of people already waiting. Sticky monkey is my fav, and their coconut was amazing and creamy. Have tried their hand-packed and pre-packed and both were good so i go for the pre-packed option if i want to save in my freezer which is more economical.

So many flavors here! I love an extensive menu with a lot of options. Although it did make it hard to choose a flavor, it also made me want to come back to try all the different flavors. The staff was friendly and attentive. We were able to sample a few flavors before making a decision. I ultimately chose a junior cup of Oreo Cookie, and my bf got a waffle bowl with Blueberry Cheesecake and Tropical Four. I really enjoyed the Oreo Cookie. I liked that it had chunks of Oreos. One of the flavors I sampled was Pistachio, and it was really good. I would definitely get a full scoop of that next time. I tried a bit of the flavors my bf got, and the Blueberry Cheesecake was very sweet. It was good but too sweet for me.

A local staple with delicious and unique flavors!They have halo halo ice cream which is my fav and other fruits you can't find elsewhere. Grab a number off the wall and wait to have your number called, they let you sample too. The seasonal flavors (as of Nov 2024) included pumpkin, peppermint and egg nog. Friendly service, no tables for sitting so more of a grab and go or stand and eat your ice cream type of place. Prices are fair for the portions and it has a nice mom and pop ice cream parlor ambiance.
