I've been searching for a reasonably priced breakfast spot, since prices have skyrocketed over the last 2 years. Found it! Mission's Kitchen is not a looker, but it's obviously popular, the food is good and the portions large. My waitress, Sophia, spotted me as a newbie right away. She came over and after introducing herself, proceeded to tell me the history of the restaurant - what wonderful, friendly person! And the menu prices haven't changed very much over the last 2 years. I'll be back.

Everything you could ask for from a neighborhood hole in the wall: bustling energy, chock full of locals, and, most importantly, great tasting food. I tried the chilaquiles, which comes with two eggs any way, refried beans, and rice. I also opted to add a steak, because why the heck not. The portion was huge! I loved that, despite being a quick service diner, they asked me how I liked my steak, and it came out perfectly (a deliciously tender mid-rare). The steak & eggs, plus coffee, came to $24 before tip, which I thought was more than reasonable given the size. Come here if you're looking for something less touristy, with an old-school diner twist, and delicious food served with a smile.

A no-frills diner with cheerful staff serving up huge Mexican/Central American dishes. They also have typical American breakfast dishes (pancakes, omelettes, etc.) but the magic is in the desayunos especiales. Sometimes we want a hearty breakfast that includes fried plantains, so we come here! If you do visit, come hungry and early. This fills up with local families from 10am on, especially on the weekends. Sometimes a guitar player and/or accordion player will serenade diners too.

This joint is a good breakfast place with a good latin breakfast dishes. I'm a regular but service is ok. They can take forever to take your order or give your bill. Other than that it's ok.

I've been coming here since I was 9! My favorite thing here is the spicy chilaquiles. (They also have great amercano breakfast plates)The staff is super kind, and this place is always packed! Perfect for a group dinning or they have bar seating so if you want a meal to yourself! They have a small kitchen (you can see the two men cooking all the meals!) I will always come back here for the nostalgia, but also the delicious food.

What a great hole-in-the-wall! It's a Mexican diner serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I came here for breakfast and sat at the counter. Service was good and the spicy green chilaquiles were great (although not actually spicy to me). I ordered it with a steak (extra $) cause I gotta have my meat haha. They also serve fresh orange juice and there's plenty of other comfort food to choose from - Mexican and American. I'm definitely coming back!

Good diner food. Eclectic crowd and usually busy. Yelp tripped me up because I was headed there one night and they had not updated their hours. When I got there they were closed and I was disappointed.

I love this restaurant. They make probably the best Chilaquiles in the city. My girlfriend and I go here all of the time for brunch and they are very consistent with the food. I recommend the spicy Chilaquiles if you're love spicy food. The waitstaff is friendly and sometimes there's a musician singing Hispanic songs while you enjoy your food. Did I say this place was really good? My favorite breakfast spot in the Mission district.Parking will be hard to find because it is San Francisco and the Mission is pretty packed most days. I also tried their apple juice and it's pretty darn good.
