So pleasantly surprised! Detailed breakdown below:**Service, 5/5** Super efficient and friendly staff got my party of 6 seated immediately, quickly took our orders, and had our food starting to come out in just a few minutes. **Price & portion, 5/5** The prices were so reasonable and the portions are intended to be shared, so make sure to bring lots of family or friends so you can try more items. Leftovers are fantastic reheated so the portions can stretch for multiple meals. **Taste, 4.75/5** Everything we got was fantastic: signature rice noodle rolls with egg and duck, a pound of crispy roast pork, yang chow fried rice, scallop rice noodle rolls, and crispy salt and pepper chicken wings. Everything was hot, super fresh, and well seasoned -- totally hit the spot for Cantonese-style comfort food. The only item I didn't absolutely love was the shrimp and egg chow fun with gravy as the shrimp and egg topping didn't have a great ratio with the noodles, but it still had great wok hei flavor. Definitely coming back with my family!

Not at all bad Cantonese-style restaurant. I tried the wonton soup with rice noodles, which was pretty good. Both the wontons, noodles and veggies tasted fresh. I'd get this again.I wanted to try their rice noodle rolls, but from what I noticed it looked like the ingredients were just placed on top of the rice rolls, rather than actually being rolled within the rice rolls. I guess it's an easier shortcut for them.Portion leans a bit on the smaller side, but not inadequate. Reasonably priced.Restaurant was clean. Workers were pretty friendly, especially compared to other restaurants of similar ilk. Apparently, they're known for their Chinese BBQ. I didn't get to try, but they did look good and legit.Parking can be challenging with metered-only parking.

My go-to for Peking duck. They have 2 options. The traditional whole roasted duck, and a spatchcocked version that they just call the "flat duck". The flat version has crisper skin than the traditional and is my favorite. A plate of that over rice with the customary cabbage....10/10. Most of the time, I don't even use the sauce, it's that good. All the other food I've tried there is just as tasty. No complaints about anything I've had. Service is fast & friendly. Prices are reasonable. There's lots of options for the same food on this street, but I'll keep going to Ming Hing for the foreseeable future.

Small bbq shop with seat in available. It is a small restaurant, and I consider clean and not oily like other bbq places. We had lunch and ordered 2 item bbq combinations with soy sauce chicken and roast duck with veggie and rice. We also ordered bbq pork rice roll and a thousand egg and pork porridge. Side order of chinese donut. The food was ready in no time. All are yummy. A minimum of $30 if you want to pay with a credit card. Price is considered very reasonable. Parking could be a challenge in this area.

I love coming here for Chinese bbq. They have some of the best roast duck in the city!I usually order DoorDash to go and pick it up on my way home. It's usually ready quickly and I haven't had any issues. Just make sure you leave time to try to find a parking spot. The roast pork was also tasty and the skin was perfectly crispy and crunchy. The char siu was decent but what I really liked was the honey bbq spareribs. They were tasty, juicy, and fun to munch on. Highly recommend also getting their rice noodles which are the perfect thickness and flavors are dependent on what kind you order!

Finally got to try out this chang fun / rice noodle roll place in Portola!I stopped by Sunday evening around 6 pm to grab some chang fun to go. I called while I was on the way and my order was ready when I arrived.I got the fish chang fun with egg added for a little over $6. Such good value!By the time I got home, it had already cooled down, but it was still good. I did think the rice noodle layer was a bit on the thick side, so I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5.I need to come back again and eat it fresh out of the kitchen!Usually parking is hard to find in this area, but I was lucky and snagged a metered spot right in front of the restaurant. Maybe it's not that busy Sunday evening.

We ordered takeout from Ming Hing. The bbq pork over rice is good. The pork wasn't fatty and the flavor is good. Sweet and sour chicken was sort of soft and goopy but edible. They barely had any seafood in the noodles. But noodles came crispy because the gravy and seafood was in another container. Food was still hot when it arrived. An ok place. Too bad portions are small

The service was good! It was nice to be able to speak in cantonese to staff but they also understand English! Ambiance was okay, reminded me of places that you would go for nostalgia after coming often with your grandparents or throughout childhood. Food was alright! It was really cheap and fast but if you're looking for high quality dimsum then you might have to look a little further. Overall, would come again if in need of a cheap eat or a quick lunch!
