Very cute cafe in the middle of Union Square. I didn't see the croissant come ice cream on the menu and just asked the guy at the register for it. For 3 it came out to $41 and some change. We excitedly watched our order being made from the pickup window. They cut up the croissants, filled them with our choice of soft serve, sprinkled some chocolate garnishes on top and a masterpiece was made. The chocolate ice cream has small specks of chocolate in it. It was very good. We all enjoyed our sweet treats. The croissant cone is a solid offering. The guys working were really friendly and professional even though our transaction was short.

Pricey bakeshop conveniently located in the heart of Union Square. Looks fancier than other nearby tourist-targeted options. Though the taste is a bit middling.Tres Leches: $11 for something that tastes like bland grocery store sheet cake with a dab of cream on the bottom. Having had so many great tres leches in Miami, I was hoping for a little spice (at least some cinnamon) and a lot more cream so that the cake is all wet and spongy.Raspberry Cake: $17.43 for a small cake slice seems a bit overpriced, even for San Francisco. Tasty though. Really like the crunchy hazelnut bottom against the creamy layers.

A decent place for high end Croissants, macarons and other pastries. Friendly efficient service with tables outside to enjoy your newfound pastries and beverage.Located in the heart of Union Square ON Union Square itself is this fancy looking yet understated counter service bakery and coffee place. With all the big plate glass windows and cut stone, Miller & Lux projects a modern vibe in the middle of busy Union Square.I ordered one of their unique Mini-sized kouign amanns for 5.25 and a big almond croissant for 9.25 or so.. Rather pricey.. Both were created to a high standard with high quality ingredients. The KA was on point, but the almond croissant - while overloaded with shaved toasted almonds on top and a reasonable amount of okish almond paste was kind of tough when bitten into. The KA was good. Not sure if I'd try here again.. Tourist pricing is a bit much for a tough croissant, especially when there are some incredibly great bakeries all over town.

You know, it's crazy how much things have changed. In years past, the corner of Union Square that Miller & Lux Provisions calls home just might have been the envy of the neighborhood. After all, not many businesses in the history of Union Square have ever been able to say that they, literally, sit on Union Square. Unfortunately, with the perception of the area, and SF at large, being what it is, the area has definitely lost some of its shine. Despite the loss of that cachet, though, this place still has the biggest thing going for it - some really good looking food! Now, not that it makes any sort of difference, but I actually had no idea until I started writing this that Miller & Lux Provisions was part of Tyler Florence's family of eateries (whom I am a fan of). Similarly, I hadn't seen much of their croissant ice cream cone on my social media feeds (part of the reason why I missed out on trying this). Rather, what drew us here was actually the photos of all of their other confections and creations - from their small desserts and pastries to their cookies and French macarons, they seemed there seemed to be no shortage of enticing options to satisfy our craving for a sweet afternoon snack!-- TIRAMISU...$10Pretty decent, though far from the best I've had. The ladyfingers weren't soggy, there was a nice espresso flavor to this, and, most importantly, this didn't taste as overly sweet, like I feared it might. That being said, this sure had a whole lot of mascarpone.-- OREO CRUMBLE COOKIE...$4Despite how good this looked in the display case and how I generally like Oreo flavored cookies, this was a miss for me. While the texture wasn't bad (I liked the edges), the center of the cookie felt a little thick/dense and there was a bit of an unexpected aftertaste to this.Beyond the food, the thing that we actually liked best about our trip to Miller & Lux Provisions really was its location. Ironically, how dead Union Square was, compared to its pre-COVID days, wasn't the worst thing. Thinking back to how packed and congested it would sometimes get, it was nice being able to enjoy our desserts in relative peace instead of being surrounded by a constant hustle and bustle. Don't get me wrong, though - I wholeheartedly hope the area starts to see those busier days come back soon, especially to support the businesses that are still around here and to encourage new ones to open! While what we had may not have tasted as good as they looked (or as we had hoped), I can't say I wouldn't make my way back to Miller & Lux Provisions, if only because of their croissant ice cream cones. While it was a little too cold for ice cream the day we were here, it certainly seems to be the thing to get. Plus, some of their other desserts looked really good as well, though perhaps I'd just be better off trying them at Miller & Lux (the restaurant) instead.

Super cute spot but just in kind of unfortunate area of town. It definitely is a little sketchier than it used to be. The spot itself is super cute and had a lot of great, fresh pastries. I tried their mushroom puff pastry with coffee. It's expensive $8 for the pastry but so good.

After a year of seeing this viral croissant ice cream on my FYP, I finally gave it a try while being in the area and all I have to say is...it's overhyped. While it is absolutely beautiful to look at, for $13, I was expecting better in terms of taste. The ice cream itself was creamy and enjoyable, but the croissant was very mediocre in my opinion. Next time, I'd try a different pastry and skip this croissant ice cream.Service was quick and straightforward, and the ambiance was a casual spot to grab a treat before exploring union square.

The ambiance at Miller & Lux Provisions is undeniably cool, especially during the holiday season with the Christmas tree at Union Square and the lively, bustling atmosphere. It's a great spot to soak in the festive vibes. I went with high hopes to try their viral croissant soft serve, but unfortunately, they were out of croissants when I visited around 2 PM. Instead, I opted for the vanilla-chocolate soft serve with chocolate beads and marshmallows. The soft serve was enjoyable, light, airy, and not overly sweet, just the way a good soft serve should be. However, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed confused about their offerings, and it was a bit disappointing that they were out of many items so early in the afternoon.Overall, while the ambiance and the soft serve were pleasant, the lack of availability and the slightly disorganized service bring it down to a 3-star experience for me.

Good, but a bit overhyped last year. We got the spinach feta pastry which was yum! Would get it again! Also got some hot chocolate which was okay, not too memorable. And then got the ever popular croissant ice cream, which looked so aesthetic and tasted good but expensive for what it is. Also a bit hard to eat. I thought the things here were pretty expensive for just having outdoor seating, but it's in a great location.

This is a super cute little cafe next to the ice skating rink in union square so it was convenient to get breakfast before our time slot. It's definitely overpriced but we did enjoy the food; we got hot chocolates and then the spinach feta bread and the croissant ice cream swirl. I'm confused why that isn't on the menu, we had to ask for it by showing the yelp picture. The fact that it's $12 for that was definitely a lot, and it was yummy but nothing crazy special. Our whole meal came to $40 which is quite a lot; I wouldn't come back but it is a cute one time stop. The staff were all nice and friendly and the food did come out decently quickly.
