Update a couple of years later: Mijoté continues to be great. The sauces still shine - love the table side sauce service and all the harmonious flavors but the other parts of the dish are excellent also. You can sort of tell what might be on the menu by checking recent tags of Instagram but it's not always accurate. For example, on a recent visit I expected monkfish and a raw seafood course (which there was) but was also pleasantly surprised to find that the menu had slow roasted lamb loin. My friend described this as possibly one of the best lamb dishes she has had and I agree that it was delicious (much less gamey and "lamb" tasting than a lamb chop or something so depends on preferences). Some clue to the proteins when booking might be nice but I think that is part of the fun too- just would avoid this spot with picky eaters or people who aren't too adventerous.It's $82 but there are the usual fees and what not so it'll probably be closer to $100 but I think worth it for the quality, service, and portions. . They seem to be doing a lot more supplemental options too, it is a decent amount of food even without them so I'd recommend probably just picking one of those.

We were hyped to try the 4 course French- Japanese prefixe menu ($82 pp). Some dishes were delicious and others were disappointing. The amuse bouche: celery root puree was my favorite part of the meal. It was creamy without the celery being overpowering. The appetizer: yellowtail, daikon, Granny Smith was refreshing and crunchy. The fish was fresh and I enjoyed the different layers of the dish. The lamb loin was quite pink when brought out for plating, including the inside. When I asked to cook it more, it was still pink on the inside. The plum dessert was extremely tart. I appreciate that they celebrated our birthday with us with a candle. They had good service and offered to warm our plate for us. The menu was heavily seafood based, which I enjoyed but may not be for everyone's palate.

Amazing spot for a dinner! They have a rotating wine glass selection, but also a wine pairing for an extra $40.The meal was incredible - I love the appetizers. We had a yellowtail / watermelon radish that I was thinking about the whole meal. The other standout was the lamb loin - so tender!!Great service and ambiance, and you can watch the staff put together the meals at the bar.

We celebrated a birthday here and the food was amazing! The flavors of each dish were so unique. Every dish was well cooked and delicious. It's nice to know the set menu changes so often. The service was fine. It just felt like it was a little rehearsed where they just are trying to get you the food and explain the dish and leave asap.Overall I would definitely come in again for a new menu!

Wow, this place is absolutely DELICIOUS! We celebrated a friend's birthday and had reservations for 6. They request to send any food allergies or dietary restrictions ahead of time since it is a set menu. Unfortunately, we didn't remember one of our friends was a vegetarian until the day of. Luckily, the staff was so kind and was easily able to accommodate our friend.The inside was tiny but so cute and cozy. If you're lucky enough to sit at the bar, you get to watch them prepare your food.As far as the food, everything was exquisite. The serving size was actually pretty big. I was already full by the 3rd item. My favorite had to be the dessert. I've never tasted anything like it. For the price, it's a really good deal for the quality and quantity of the food.I would love to come back here!

Really amazing and balanced tasting menu. Dishes are creative and flavour focused. Ingredients are fresh, everything is perfectly cooked. It has a bit of a home kitchen feel as the menu changes every day, even from seating to seating! The highlights of the meal were the sweetbreads and the hangar steak. Portions were quite large but manageable. Highly recommend checking this one out.

We came for a birthday dinner. This was reserved two weeks before without issues. They just gave a candle on the dessert. It would have been nice if they did an extra measure or step.The food was phenomenal. The pacing was perfect. The portions were just right. My parents were even happy and they are a difficult crowd to please. I recommend adding the extra beef cheeks. It was so good. It was my favorite dish. Everything was seasoned well.I didn't care so much for dessert. I would recommend for a cozy, intimate French dining experience.

Food was 4.5 ish stars. Definitely interesting food, some of the flavors didn't quite pair for me but some of the food was fantastic. The first two dishes (yellowtail/daikon/apple and monkfish/spaghetti squash/madras curry) were interesting but didn't white hit for me. The lamb loin and the dessert were to die for. Experience was 5 stars. I loved watching them work and prep the food in front of us. I've been to restaurants that did the before but this really felt like a show due to the creative nature of the food and it's presentation.Very reasonable price.
