Mediterranean Pizza and Gyros

If you haven't tried Turkish cuisine you're missing out. This place has all of the kabobs, plates and especially Turkish pizza which is hard to find in the area. I tired a pizza with beef that was rolled up. Very tasty and made with fresh ingredients. I tried the fried crispy cheese and spinach phyllo appetizer and had a Turkish dessert kunefe.Everything was casual and friendly. You pay at the counter and then have a seat. Definitely going back to try more.

A really great Turkish restaurant on an unassuming strip of Broadway St in BurlingameSaw this place and it was already highly rated so we came to see for ourselves. It lived up to the reviews!You walk in and order at the register before seating yourself. The young lady who took our order was polite and helpful and helped us navigate the menu. We ordered the lentil soup, the lahmaçun and the kunefe. Our table and seats were clean, and the decor of the restaurant was reflective of the cuisine but modern. The portions of the lahmaçun were huge and we probably could've done with just one to share. It was served with a ton of fresh veggies to toss on top as you like. The lentil soup and the kunefe were also great, but the lahmaçun was the star of our meal. If we lived closer we would come more often!

This place is SOOO good. The man who helped us (I wish I got his name) was very friendly and helped me decide which pide to get. I settled on his favorite, the kusbasi pide, and it was delicious. We stopped in on a whim when the nearby restaurant we'd tried to visit wasn't open at the time posted. Overall, this was a great experience but everything needed more seasoning.Lentil soup - wasn't what I expected. It tasted like it had a tomato soup base and if there are lentils in it, they are blended up. It was served with a lemon which didn't do anything spectacular to the flavor, in my opinion. It was not the flavor or texture I was expecting.Lamb beef gyro plate - this was probably the star of the meal. The rice, extremely delicious; it tasted like saffron rice. The lamb, but the shavings were too thin and small to get the full flavor. We kind of skipped over the salad, but he had a ginger dressing hummus was OK (but I think all is just OK)Veggie pide - I didn't know what to expect here, but this was like a calzone with thin crust. It had all of my favorite veggies (mushrooms, bell peppers, onions) but was a little too spicy for my taste. After it sat for a while, the juices from the veggies soaked into the bottom crust, making it softer. I liked it like that, but my husband liked it better when it was crunchier.Tombik - we ordered this with chicken so that we could try a different beach. The bread was extremely soft and fluffy. It was clearly freshly made, but kind of flavorless. It had all of the fixings of a gyro wrap, but prepared as a sandwich. The french fries served with it were absolutely the best seasoned thing we ate--literally perfect.We liked the decor a lot. It's a comfortable place to eat and the ladies running the front of house are delightful!

I tried the etli ekmek at Mediterranean Pizzas, and it was amazing--perfectly baked with a flavorful blend of minced meat, herbs, and spices on a crisp, thin flatbread. They also serve kelle paça every Friday!

Visited this restaurant twice while shopping on Broadway and both times the food was great! The meat and ingredients are clean and not over seasoned. I feel light after eating meals here and the service gives off very mom and pop vibes. There's a cute teenage daughter at the register and her father behind the kitchen making the food freshly. It's a bit pricy but for the quality of the food it's worth it! The beef shawarma was cooked perfectly and has a perfect gaminess to seasoned taste. The rice pilaf is AMAZING, yes rice lol. I have tasted many Mediterranean styles of rice at home and dining out, this was the best I have ever had. I would recommend this place for a light and fulfilling bite!

The food was excellent! You must try their Lahmacun, kusbasi pide, and the Adana kebab plate. The owner of the restaurant went out of his way to service us and made sure we are satisfied. The Turkish delight is a must have with Turkish tea as well. Very laid and casual environment. Highly recommend.

We went here when we were in the area, and we're so glad we did! Having been to Turkey in early 2024 we were hanging out for some authentic Turkish food and this place did not disappoint. We had tea and the Lahmacun and lamb skewer and then Turkish coffee and kunefe for dessert. It was all absolutely gorgeous and fresh. The service was lovely, the place is spotless, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Also, try the pink rose Turkish delight. It is my favorite and was devine!
