I must start by saying I was surprised to see 3 starts only! This place deserves a 5 star at least.Great cozy place, great service and simply the best pizza hands down.

I ordered 20 pizzas from Mama Mia and they were great to work with. Marco was very accommodating, he made the pizzas before the store was open on a Saturday morning, delivered them on time for the 100 guests party. No disappointments. Mom and pop shop and hard working owner. Highly recommended for parties.

The food was very cheap. Pizza by the slice ranges from $3-4 and the service was relatively quick. The pizza itself was pretty mediocre. The price was reflective of the quality of the pizza. There are only 2 tables inside with 2 chairs each and there was a really weird smell when you sat down. There was a bunch of flies since they had their door open which made it very unappetizing. The chef(?) was very very nice and helpful. To use card you would need to make a purchase of $7 or more. Personally I would not come back. But I think the rating is fair for the price of the food. When you walk in, you get what you expect.

This is the third or fourth ownership in this spot since we moved to Bernal in 2003, and I have to say it has the worst pizza. It's not horrible, but it's mediocre... crust way too breadlike and not enough cheese. However, it is inexpensive so if you're in the mood for quantity over quality and not feeling too picky, you could end up here some night.

EDIT: When I placed my order online and waited, I overlooked the possibility that Mama Mia may have been closed to observe the Day Without Immigrants. I drove past the storefront (on my way to pick up a pizza elsewhere) and it was dark - with no signage indicating why they were closed, so I don't know if my assumption is correct.Based on this possibility, I felt like I should include it as an addendum to my original review, because I'm fully sympathetic with and supportive of the Day Without Immigrants, and if Mama Mia was closed because of it, good on them.However, as a business, Mama Mia made no apparent attempt to communicate that, in a break from its usual 7-days-a-week schedule, it would be closed this day. Its website made no mention of a closure, and the ability to make an order was not disabled.In the end, I waited 2+ hours, had my credit card charged, and ended up with nothing. It'll take more time to dispute and reverse the charge with the bank. Because of this, my review stands, and it's doubtful I'll try to patronize Mama Mia again.---------------------------------------------------------I placed an order online. Over two hours later, nothing. I've called their phone number multiple times, and no one picked up.I ordered knowing that on a hot-as-Hades Monday night, no one would want to cook and Mama Mia would likely be crushed, so I calibrated my expectations accordingly. Still, this location is literally 4-5 blocks from my house. Also, when there's only one point of contact listed on their website, and they don't answer (or even have the courtesy to provide a backup like voicemail in cases when demand is insane, or have a measly email address to contact)...There are too many good pizza joints around here to have to tolerate this kind of garbage. As the old familiar Yelp adage goes, if I could give fewer stars than one, I would award Mama Mia: ZERO point ZERO.

I ordered their carbornara. I found it creamy with a well-rounded taste. Obviously an expedited version used for home delivery, I was nonetheless satisfied. Came with garlic bread, which was nice.I would order it again.

The pizza is good but their service is terrible. I ordered delivery which took an hour to arrive, but I received the wrong pizza. When I called back they said they would send me the correct pizza but I had to return the incorrect pizza. I told them I couldn't do that because I was eating the incorrect pizza because I was hungry and didn't want to wait another hour for the right pizza.They ended up sending me the right pizza much later, rather than give me a refund. But what I don't understand is why they would request me to send back the original pizza? I mean, what could you possibly do with a pizza that was already delivered to someone and would have been sitting there for an hour before the driver came back to replace it with the new pizza? If I was eating in the restaurant maybe I would understand, but this makes me think that they reuse the pizzas they accidentally make incorrectly which is gross. Either that or they just don't want me to get 2 pizzas for the price of one, even if one of the pizzas isn't what I wanted?On top of that, speaking to whoever was on the phone was really difficult because she didn't speak English well. I hate to be that person but she made no effort to accommodate for her lack of English. She frequently spoke over me as I was trying to explain what my problem was, to the point that it took me several tried before she finally stopped trying to guess what my problem was and understood what I was saying to her.The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because I really did enjoy the pizza once I actually got it...

I love this place. First time having pizza from here but it was so good! I had the veggie supreme with pineapple and jalapeño. No cheese and extra sauce. :) so yummy I'm very happy. I ordered from eat 24.. & they got here 15 minutes before it was scheduled which I will not complain about. Good pizza. It's not everyday I order pizza but like I said I'm very happy

This new restaurant on Mission is a gem. Stopped in couple weeks ago because we were parked in front. Talked to one of the owners, got delivery menu and are we glad we did!! Food is great !! Have had the chicken garlic pizza, wings, BBQ ribs and the half roasted chicken. All VERY GOOD and arrives to the house piping hot. And both drivers have been really courteous . Prices are also great. Don't walk to this new establishment - RUN!!
