Lupa Trattoria

Lupe Trattoria is a warm understated spot in Noe Valley serving up fresh, well prepared and well presented Italian dishes. I love the seafood pasta featuring mussels, clams, Shrimp and scallops. My daughter had the pasta with Bolognese and both dishes were awesome. The Pana Cotta was refreshing and a perfect dessert to clear the palette!

The service here is excellent! They hosted a group of 14 for our friend's birthday, and they were very attentive the whole night. We ordered a bunch of appetizers which were all fresh and flavorful as well as a series of wines.I ordered the rigatoni with pink sauce on their special menu, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. It was a bit heavy, and I wish there were more sausage pieces but overall it was scrumptious and satisfying. It was also just enough food.

Made an easy reservation for our party of 4 a couple of weeks out for a Friday night dinner. Noe Valley is a sweet neighborhood and though the restaurants and shops were busy, street parking was relatively easy to find, even at 645pm. The restaurant is super cute, split level so the space feels intimate. Diners closest to the street also get to enjoy a lovely fireplace. There's a patio out back with heat lamps, which hearty Bay Area people were enjoying, even on a 50 degree evening. The menu is not huge but the portions are. All four of us ordered red sauce items, all of which were yummy. Pasta was quite heavily dressed so sauce lovers will be extra happy. I want to try the lasagna next time, which the table next to us ordered and which looked terrific. My seafood spaghetti (a special) was FULL of seafood and cooked nicely. Prices are low for what you get.Service was great. Just friendly enough, just present and chatty enough, food was served piping hot from the kitchen. Staff seemed to enjoy working there, which translated into a really nice dining experience.

After nearly a decade of eating here, it's still a wonderful, warm and consistently delicious Italian restaurant. Their pasta is all homemade, and no matter which one you order, you won't be disappointed. I love the bucatini and the tortellini, but they're all good. This local restaurant is an excellent choice for anyone who is local or visiting.

A very solid Italian restaurant in such a cute area! They have a lot of open spots, but I made a reservation just in case! I tried the fettuccini tartufate, potato gnocchi, and the bucatini. All were super delicious - my favorite was the gnocchi because the texture was so soft! The fettuccini tartufate was also so delicious - I'm a sucker for the black truffle sauce. I also loved the mushrooms with the pasta too! The Bucatini was a classic - simple and also delicious. The texture was perfectly Al dente.

Oh was an amazing experience at Lupa the service and the service people are amazing. They greet you with a great smile and the food is delicious.

Classy Italian dishes. Feels like home cooking. Good service, good wine. Adds charm to the neighborhood.

It's such a pleasant surprise when you gamble on new restaurant and it exceeds all expectations. The food here is so delicious, so reasonably priced, we've found our new favorite spot after walking by and giving it a try. Service is impeccable, the place unpretentious. Will definitely be back.

Cozy ambiance. Friendly service. And solid food. I like the seafood pasta, and amatriciana.
