Authentic Argentinian food! The empanadas and alfajores are all hand made and were delish. The chimichurri was also freshly made and you can tell. The stafff we're super friendly. I will definitely come back here again.

Always a good place to get a homemade snack. Good service, reasonable prices. Drip coffee isn't bad at all. They also have lattes and such, but the pastries are the reason to show up. There is actually parking behind the diner. Family oriented. Buy your coffee from a local business!

My husband and I have lived by Lolita for a couple of years, but hadn't tried it before. Today, we finally did and wish we had earlier! The gentleman behind the counter gave us a great introduction to his family's recipes, and made excellent recommendations for which items we had to try. We ended up getting more than we intended because there were so many great looking options. The bakery itself is well lit, with a nice seating area, but we took our pastries and empanada to go.So far, we have only tried a chorizo empanada and banana/dulce de leche pastry, but they were incredible. My husband is particular about empanadas, but loved the one from Lolita a lot. We'll definitely be returning customers :).

While staying at a friend's in San Mateo, I made a stop at this local bakery for breakfast during my morning walk. I was warmly welcomed by the staff, especially Nico, who I learned runs the shop with his family. I told him it was my first time visiting, and I appreciated him kindly taking the time to walk me through their entire selection of goods!Everything they have to offer looked amazing, and I ended up getting the chorizo and humita empanadas per Nico's recommendation -- they were sooo delicious! He also gave me a free sample of their palmeritas. I don't usually go for sweets in the morning, but I enjoy these cookies. They aren't too sweet, plus they have a fun, crispy texture on the outside while being airy on the inside.I ate in their seating area, which is very spacious and gets lots of natural light. The ambiance of this place is really warm and homely. All the baked goods and empanadas are family recipes, and everyone is extremely friendly. I wish I lived in the area so I could easily go back!

The outside of Lolita Artisanal facing El Camino Real is very understated. In fact I even missed the door into bakery on El Camino. The outside in the back of building really is the main entrance and includes parking for about half a dozen cars. From the moment I walked in the door Lolita Artisanal Bakery engulfs it's customers with warmth and good vibes. I immediately felt welcomed into this place, even before reaching the counter.Received such friendly service and great recommendations by Silvia. And even though Silvia speaks perfect English, she patiently allowed me to practice my bad Spanglish. Appreciated her detailed descriptions of the empanadas and alfajores variety available. As I was picking up for a group, got an assortment of savory empanadas: beef, chicken, potato with kalamata olives, chorizo, and Silvia's favorite, the humitas. And now it is my favorite (love that recommendation!) along with the beef. Still, hope to return to try the ones that were already sold out... sweet potato, eggplant, mushroom, and to do a repeat of my two so far favorites.Of the alfajores we tried the guava (signature flavor), dolce de Leche, and vanilla coconut. The four of us agreed our favorite was the less sweet vanilla coconut. Our favorite pasteries so far tho are the mini palm cookies and coconut macaroons. So much goodness within these doors!Love that this is a family owned, local business. Appreciate the nice conversation with Giovanni, employee and friend of the family. Will be back for a cup of that delicious and slightly sweet slightly nutty coldbrew and... am sure a few more bites of deliciousness!Mucho gusto Silvia and Lolita's Artisanal!

Quaint bakery with dine in option that has a wonderful empanada selection. I tried the bacon and egg, chorizo, chicken, and potato. All were excellent with a flaky thin crust and robust flavorful filling. They offer many other sweet baked goods that I can't wait to try next time. Located close to Hillsdale mall. Great for take out orders as well.

My daughter had a soccer game during lunch time and my inlaws were visiting from Sacramento, so I picked up a variety of empanadas for us to eat during the game. They had many different flavors, including chicken, chorizo, spinach, and eggplant. The empanadas were all very good! They were flaky and stuffed full of filling. They're also cheaper than other empanada places that I've tried nearby. I wanted to try the mushroom, but they were sold out. The owner was very sweet and gave me her business card, telling me that I could call ahead next time to preorder. The sweet pastries all looked so temping too! I'm trying to watch my sugar, but I'm eyeing the guava alfajores. I'll have to try it next time!
