I came here because I wanted to try a new Indian restaurant and loved the food here! We had the Garlic naan, pistachio chicken, coconut shrimp, and rice. Everything was solid, and the coconut shrimp was definitely the standout dish. The restaurant is cute, and the service was great. My only complaint was that the music was a bit slow and depressing lol.

Delightful and delicious neighborhood gem! Ambiance is wonderful - cozy, vibrant colors, enjoyable music and not too loud. Every dish we ordered (10 dishes total!) was incredible - fresh, bold flavors that blew us away. The momos melted in our mouths and the Indian dishes were fantastic! I am a vegetarian and had tons of options. My 15 year old daughter loved the dishes too. The staff was warm, welcoming, accommodating. We made reservation in advance - for a 5 person birthday party - and it was easily arranged. We will definitely be returning here for dine in and take out.

I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews. This is definitely a hidden gem in Bernal Heights! I ordered some small appetizers: the arugula fig salad and the mango chicken. Both were incredibly delicious. The salad was lightly topped with creamy goat cheese, crunchy walnuts, and sweet figs that perfectly balanced the bitterness of the arugula. The tender chicken was smothered in a sweet and tangy mango sauce. The servers were so nice and helpful, answering all of my questions patiently! The restaurant is also really pretty with each corner decorated in beautiful patterns and hanging trinkets. Great place.

Such a little gem in the Bernal Heights area. We love the bright colors outside and inside. Our server was very sweet. The food was delicious- not your standard Indian restaurant fare. I recommend getting the lunch special. Although it's $25 it is absolutely worth it. Our party of 3 orders 2 of them and still have leftovers. It includes: a wonderful salad, naan, papadam. choice of rice and 2 curry dishes. The sauces for dipping were sensational- we especially loved (and devoured) the green curry (mint/cilantro).

Absolutely love this spot and service. I will only say I wish they were consistent. Sometimes they offer refill for chai but another time they charged me for two chai's and when we ordered one garlic naan we were also charged for two orders.

Lovely people and cute place. Unfortunately the food was a little different in style than what we'd hoped/expected, and a bit of a letdown: the chicken tikka masala was very acidic and tomato-forward, almost ketchupy, and the pistachio lamb korma was oddly sweet with very tough meat - you shouldn't need a fork, let alone a knife, to cut through braised lamb. A high point was the lentil coconut soup, which was delicious. Naan and rice were both good.

Little Nepal has been closed for years so I was so excited when I saw renovations happening and now it's finally open! The restaurant has cute and comfy decor that welcomes you inside.Service was prompt; we started off with mango lassis which were so delicious I was scraping the sides of the glass for more! We ordered family style, one main dish per person with naan and rice and one salad. The portions looked small at first but we were pleasantly full by the end of our meal. The stand outs were the goat curry, pistachio lamb korma, lemon rice, and garlic naan. I wasn't sure what to expect with the lemon rice but it was delicious! I think that the carb sides are so important but frequently they turn out disappointing so I really appreciated that they took such care with the rice and naan options. The garlic naan was some of the best I've had recently! Loved the subtle crunch of the pistachios in the korma. So glad this local spot has reopened and I'll be back soon!

Super honest review about Little Nepal. The veggie samosas were absolutely delicious. That green sauce is out of this world delicious. The chicken tikka masala. Ok the chicken was super super tender very buttery and absolutely delicious. BUT... the sauce was very tomatoeeey like it was tasty but it felt like it was more of a tomato soup than the masala flavors I've tried before. (Elsewhere) The rice smells good and it tastes good, although I wish it had more species and that yellow color other places have. The butter naan I give it a 100/10. Soooo buttery and delicious. It's not like your regular naan that gets hard after a few mins out of the foil paper. This one stayed soft and delicious even 40 mins after we finished our meals. Service was outstanding, the gentleman were sooo nice and even offered me water while I waited for my food and tea to go (free). Service was also very fast and I was in and out of there within 20 minsThe place is squeaky clean and cozy. Will definitely be back maybe for in-house dining.

This little gem of a restaurant was an unexpected delight! We stumbled upon it after the restaurant up the street, for which we had reservations, decided that they were closed for renovations. (Long story.) Thank goodness they were closed or else we would not have stumbled upon Little Nepal. Our waiter was lovely, charming and funny. We were all starving so we dove straight into the entrees: pistachio chicken korma, palak paneer, and coconut shrimp curry. Each dish more delicious than the next. For accompaniments, we ordered buttered naan and coconut rice; drinks were a shared bottle of white wine. The best part was we had loads of leftovers despite being absolutely stuffed! We can't wait to go back there!
