While taking a roundabout walk home through South Beach and Mission Bay, I just walked through Spark Social which has definitely mellowed out since it opened over three years ago. I saw the usual food trucks and the usual hipsters hovering about but was surprised to see that Limon had one here. Memories of their Pollo a la Brasa flooded my consciousness, but probably fortuitously, they weren't offering it off the truck. Instead they were serving more manageable handheld items like pork belly sandwiches and empanadas. However, despite the plethora of Peruvian temptations, I zeroed in on the $10 Chop Salad which offered the option of grilled chicken for an additional $3. Sold. It was a huge box of salad with chopped romaine, shredded carrot and cherry tomatoes mixed liberally with an Aji Amarillo sesame vinaigrette and topped with a generous amount of poultry nicely grilled and perfectly tender (photo: http://bit.ly/2OzdJho). Those memories of the Pollo a la Brasa remain intact. Good to know that Limon is mobile now.FOOD - 4 stars...that chicken still rocks even off a truckAMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...uh, it's a truck but Spark has plenty of seating nowSERVICE - 3.5 stars...minimal interaction but efficient TOTAL - 4 stars...Limon on wheels!RELATED - Foraging through food trucks? It's interesting to see brick & mortar restuarants lauch food trucks; usually it's the reverse progression. I've been a fan of their restaurants so their food truck did not disappoint. The more lomo saltado options the better in my book!Lomo Saltado: Hands down my favorite Peruvian dish and essentially the benchmark I use to evaluate all Peruvian joints. There's was pretty solid. Most notable was the quality and thickness of beef. It was seared on the outside and a little rare on the inside. A decent amount of soy-based sauce so the fries soaked up a bunch and there was still a tad left over to flavor the rice. Was a bit skimpy on the onions and tomatoes though, but that's forgiveable.Yucca Fries: Big fried chunks with a slightly tangy yellow dippy sauce. I imagine they parboiled the yucca because it was super soft inside, but had that nice all-around crisp from a quick deep frying on the outside. Loved the sauce, because without it, fried yucca is kinda bland.

Just discovered that Limon Rotisserie now has a food truck! Spotted them over at Off the Grid Upper Haight. At that time I was actually in the mood for some BBQ and I couldn't resist trying their Peruvian BBQ Spareribs.Peruvian BBQ Spareribs w/ quinoa rice & black beans -- http://bit.ly/2LFEwZTThis was a very loaded bowl! The Spareribs were amazing! Very meaty with the meat melting right off the bones and the sauce was very tangy. So good! And the beans and quinoa were nicely portioned to compliment the spareribs.I know I've only tried Limon's Truck only one time, but from what I've had with their BBQ Spareribs bowl and the fact that they've included their famous Rotisserie Chicken and Lomo Saltado on the menu make their truck raise the bar with food truck fare, at least in comparison to other Peruvian food trucks. Looking forward to trying them again!

Limon Rotisserie was a welcome sight. hardly any different food trucks here besides the usual ones. biz must be fad! locale: Soma streetpark(8/3/18)offerings: beef stew, grilled chicken, lomo saltado, peru bbq spareribs, carne anticuchera, empanada, etc.eats: carne anticuchera(12)-marinated grilled flat steak with black beans, quinoa rice, salad, veggies, housemade sauce. -tasty, tender beef slices, etc. everything tasted fresh. take outs:-prices easily the best value at soma streetpark-would try other items if they don't contain fries. -parking not so easy here these days.

LimLimon has been our favorite restaurant for many, many years! I was looking for a caterer for my wedding but didn't want a buffet and everything else was so much more expensive. As soon as I heard Limon had a food truck, I was thrilled to hear they did weddings. We had an outdoor wedding and the Limon Food Truck was a total hit! All our guests raved about how delicious the food was. We're so happy we were able to share this cuisine with our guests.

Ordered the Lomo Saltado for dinner tonight, a few minutes before 7pm. I had remembered having the dish at several of the restaurant locations and loving it. I've had Lomo Saltado at other restaurants and preferred Limon's. So when I saw that the restaurant now has a food truck at Spark SF, which I frequent, I had to get it. It was as good as I remembered it. Flavorful meat. Delicious sauce. I tried the quinoa rice, which I haven't had before. It was moist and tasty with a good texture. The portion size of all of the components (meat, rice, veggies, fries and sauce) worked well for me. The dish went well with a glass of Grenache. I would definitely order it again.

The meat in lomo saltado tasted as if it was boiled some time ago and then microwaved to order. Lukewarm.

We hired the Limon Rotisserie food truck for our outdoor wedding this summer and were so glad we did. We live in SF and frequent the Mission restaurant location so they came immediately to mind when we started planning our South Bay wedding. We had our guests order their protein (rotisserie chicken, Lomo Saltado, or empanadas) at the truck and serve all of their sides and salad off to the side of the truck, buffet style. The team cooked fresh food as it was eating, kept everything flowing smoothly, and it was all AS delicious as it would be at the restaurant. It was great to work with Laurina. She helped us plan everything out to work with our budget and to create a wonderful experience for our guests. She even used our wedding logo to create a custom menu for us!

Just walked 1 mile to come to this truck that is not at the location marked on yelp. This is false advertisement and I just wasted my stupid lunch walking over here .'ever will I try this place. Hopefully yelp and Limón can resolve this issue so no one else wastes there time. Don't not come to this tagged location.

I love this place, and I love their food. But I'm docking a star because they're always out of stuff (?!). Tl;dr: the food is great; I've had the beef stew and the chicken and enjoyed both. But they run out of food more quickly at this food truck than others. Still, I'll be back. I've seen them only at spark in Mission Bay a few times in the past year. The first time I went, I had the beef stew. It was amazing! But they were also out of the rice and beans that I wanted with it. No big deal, but then the next time i saw their food truck again (more than 6 months later!!) I ordered from them and they were also out of the main dish I wanted, as well as the rice I wanted. The chicken I had instead of the beef stew was delicious, but I wish they would be a bit better stocked at their food truck!
