This is completely based on the experience we had with the waitlist and not the food, service, or location. We arrived at 6:30 and of course it's prone Friday night without a reservation. We we just walking by and it looked good, but to be honest, there's some many places on chestnut that also look good on a Friday night. It was cold. We saw two tables with reservation signs. So asked about a table inside. The person who checked us in said if the waitlist people don't show in fifteen minutes you can sit there. She added us to the waitlist and I got the text saying I would be notified. She even said my first and last name because I guess I was in the system. She says it could be about 30 minutes and she'd let us know. We walked around. After 30 minutes, we didn't hear so went to another place down the street and were seated right away. I never got a text that our table was ready. All night. Good thing we went elsewhere! We will try again with a reservation, but until then, I have to say they really shouldn't have quoted us a time and added us to a waitlist if they weren't going to seat us.

We came after eating dinner at ILCHA! It's a small space and the decor is nice. It was mostly empty when we arrived on a Saturday night at about 8 pm ish. We only got drinks and my wife and friends liked their drinks, but I'll go a bit in depth about mine: I got the pho margarita purely because of how interesting it sounds. I'd say presentation wise, it was pretty good. Smell wise, it did smell like pho, but taste was, it was OK? It was just sour with a hint of pho smell. Idk how to describe it. It was OK in my opinion. Not too savory. Service was also ok. Lukewarm as some folks were nice while a few weren't too nice as when we tried to hand over the check, an employee just walked right by us without glancing at us. Eh. Vibes were off there. But when we interacted with other employees they were nice!Overall an OK experience but the decor is super nice.

A tad bit late on the Friendsgiving dinner but we made it outside of the group chat. Sister restaurant of Causwells in Oakland. Location Marina, SF. The streets were cracking on a Friday night with tons of patrons walking or eating at several restaurant. To my surprise Lilah was a small restaurant which had a park-let outside as an extension. Asian cuisines listed on the menu and what made this unique spot different were their specialty handcrafted drinks.Friendly staff and delicious eats! Definitely would recommend.

I really wanted to like this place, but for 5 small dishes and 4 drinks our total came out to over $200, which I think is absurd. I went to copra the other day, and for 2 drinks and 6 large dishes (we had leftovers) our total came out to $170 including tip. Mind you Copra is on the Michelin guide. For starters I never understood the appeal of low proof cocktails. All of their drinks range from $16-21 which is pretty standard in the city but when you serve low proof alcohol, it should be a little less. We ordered the bao buns, duck tacos and papaya salad. The bao buns were really chewy, had no flavor or sauce. The duck tacos were tiny and super dry but greasy at the same time?? The only good thing was the papaya salad which requires no actual cooking. Service was mid. They sat us at the most awkward table for a 4 top, yet had a party of 2 at a large 6 top table. I get the appeal of the place, intimate, chic decor. But overall, save your money and time, there are so many better restaurants in SF. I don't know why the Marina even attempts Asian food, it falls flat every time.

Came here for someone's private event so your (reader) experience might be different. The interior is small but really cute. The ceilings are tall so it doesn't feel claustrophobic when you walk in.By the time I got there, the cold items were already out (and maybe 1 hot item) so I can't advise on food service time but for drinks, they came out relatively quickly. They have non-alcoholic options.I think all the menu items we tried were good. Were they the best Vietnamese food I've had? No. But I don't think that's who they're trying to be. Most of the food was flavored well. I will say the spring roll was a little disappointing because the rice paper wrap was still a little tough (the water probably wasn't hot enough when they tried to soften the rice paper).Overall, I think it's a great addition to this neighborhood and I have high hopes that they'll continue to improve.

This is a fun new spot next to causwells and owned by them. Not necessarily a dinner spot but they have shareable plates. Much more of a cocktails and snacks. It's really cute inside with a small amount of seating and more outdoor seating! We got the mellow mock tail and it was delicious! All the food was yummy and service was great. They take reservations on resy:) Overall a fun spot for drinks and a light bite.

Stopped in for a night cap after a meal at Causewells fairly early on a Friday (maybe around 9pm?) and the bartender/hostess seemed to be undecided as to whether or not we could be seated as they were potentially closing. Causewells team just opened this establishment so totally get that theyre still working out ops and look forward to revisiting for a meal (Instagram posts are praising their menu!). We both ordered a cocktail - I love the Lichtenstein appeal in his (bourbon?) drink. Their food styling is on point from what Ive seen and like I said, looking forward to giving them a proper shot sometime soon. The decor felt like a an Gatsby-esque art nouveau Moroccan vibe .. if that tracks ;). Fun date spot, very tiny, book in advance if you can.

Not too long ago, Asian kids were embarrassed of their "stinky" or "weird" thermos or tupperware lunch. Now, the "funk" is trendy and is getting the recognition they deserve! Lilah drew me in with their creative menu offerings - phở margherita, salt & pepper wing cocktail, and kakigōri cocktails, anyone?Opening in late September, Lilah is Causwell's sister low-abv cocktail bar. Open for indoor dining and dog-friendly outdoor dining. No rezzies, walk-in only. M E N UClassic and creative cocktails using low abv vodka, gin, tequila, run, whiskey, etc. ($15-$18). Beer, wine, and no abv drinks available. For food, they have an array of Pan-Asian/Asian-inspired brunch and dinner items ($8-$19). 5% SF Employer Mandate. D R I N K* Strawberry Hill Kakigōri: IP White Rum w/ thai basil, strawberry, blanco vermouth, saline, pandan, strawberry bloomed chia seeds ($18): https://tinyurl.com/bdfcryfpInspired by Japanese shaved ice, my fav part was the crown of fluffy soft shaved ice with larger pieces of ice for a textural contrast. Unfortunately, I found the cocktail underneath too sweet (didn't taste the pandan or thai basil) so I just ate the shaved ice. F O O D * White Poke: Kampachi w/ cucumber, mango, watermelon radish ($18): https://tinyurl.com/y2f5t67zBest dish of the night! Refreshing starter with buttery hamachi cubes complemented by the tart sweetness of the mango puree. Served with crunchy fried rice paper as a vessel. * Korean Pork Ribs w/ geotjeori slaw, peanut crunch ($19): https://tinyurl.com/u5xznueeFav part was the crisp kimchi-like slaw. The deboned ribs were dry and IMO, tasted more like Chinese x Thai fusion than Korean. * Spicy Chilled Thai Noodles w/ bell pepper, herbs, peanuts, lilah sauce ($14): https://tinyurl.com/tssvxwrsThe not spicy peanut noodles was hella salty. I tried to neutralize it with the tableside chili vinegar and chili oil but it was still too salty to enjoy. * Beef Larb Skewers w/ quick pickle, glaze ($16): https://tinyurl.com/mrywr9mjLeast fav item, the tsukune/kofte like ground beef skewers were dry and dense. Other than being very salty, I wasn't getting sour spicy larb vibes from it. S E R V I C EFriendly, upbeat service from our server(s). Prompt drink and food service (visited before 5 pm). A M B I A N C ECozy, whimsical vibes - handful of tables inside with counter seating and five tables outdoor (sidewalk and parklet). Hip hop playing (Nas). P A R K I N GVery difficult street parking. Nearest garage is around the corner on Pierce. Overall, I know they're brand new and the food is Asian-inspired but the flavors didn't hit for us. Regardless, Lilah is def going to be the new hot spot in The Marina for their instagrammable low-abv cocktails!

Come here for craft low ABV cocktails and mocktails. Stopped in for drinks. I was excited about a low ABV bar. I had the lemongrass negroni. It tasted like a Negroni with some juice in it. I wasn't getting the lemongrass at all but it was still good. The prices were very expensive $17 for a cocktail. To me part of the appeal is getting two since you're not drunk from low ABV. But they're so expensive that it's not really appealing. The food menu sounded really good. I'm excited to try their food next time. The service was very good. Also it's extremely cute inside. I know they just opened so I will comeback and try more things.

Lilah just opened the past weekend and is such a cute bar with good bites! They're the sister restaurant to Causwells, and have really tasty and creative low ABV cocktail options. They even had a pho margarita which I would definitely try next time. For food I tried the skewers and cold noodles, which were pretty decent for bar bites. Love the Asian theme for the bites. The service was also super friendly and checking up on us. Would definitely come back to try more of their cocktails.
