Food was very good, service was excellent. Since it was our first time here, we ordered a few dishes to try a little of everything.Crispy spring rolls, calamari and chicken lollipops were a hit. After being served these, I wanted to try everything on their appetizer menu. Then we had garlic noodles and curry short ribs. Great texture on the garlic noodles, be ready for strong garlic flavor. The curry short ribs was off the bone and a bowl of rice, naann, or bread to soak up the curry sauce would have been perfect. We'll be back with friends.

Came here for lunch on a weekday holiday and made a reservation at noon. When we arrived, it seems like making a reservation for lunch was kind of an overkill lol not many people there. The restaurant serves up a bit more upscale Vietnamese food than your typical pho and banh mi place. We tried the following items:Lollipop chicken: 5/5, OMG so good! Crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Super flavorful and it didn't really need any sauce. Do yourself a favor and get this! Quail: 5/5 A meal and a show! They brought out the quail on a plate and lit it on fire at table side, really brought out a smoky flavor. The quail itself had a nice marinade and was very flavorful. My second favorite dish of the meal.Garlic noodle with five spice duck: 3/5 its quite garlicky. The noodles broke apart too easily which might be an indication of being overcooked. The duck was lacking in flavor. Pineapple fried rice: 3/5 it was mediocre fried rice at best. The pineapples were sour, not sure if it was meant to be that sour. Chicken pho: 4/5 the broth was flavorful, I didn't try the noodle or the chicken so I can't say anything about them. But based on ten broth, I'd give it 4/5.Service was good. Overall, a satisfying meal and I'm looking forward to return!

I arrived one day for lunch right after opening and the restaurant was empty save for a couple staff members. I was surprised to receive a menu that only had a few items on it. Maybe the lunch menu is limited? The dishes are slightly more expensive than what I've seen elsewhere, but I was grateful for a place that serves Laksa since SF is sorely lacking on that front. The laksa was rich and savory, but nothing I would come back for. I may come back to try something else since the menu focuses on Vietnamese dishes.

Slightly Upscale vibe here compared to most other family-run Vietnamese restaurants. Awesome food, Personable service, impeccably clean, well appointed bathrooms too!We came here for a simple meal.. nothing too fancy. Our choices were:Chicken Lollipops- wings skinned back and fried in a perfect crisp light batter, meaty and flavorful. I think of this as little teeny tiny chicken tomahawks! Loved this!BBQ Pork Spring Rolls - Definitely one of the better renditions we've had. I like it that they cut the rolls up into small bite sized chunks instead of halves that always seem a bit too large and break up all over the place when you bite into them. Not here. Just pop em in your mouth!Traditional Pho - The ribeye they provide in this dish was great, and made this the perfect main course for a foggy evening. We look forward to coming back here again soon!

Amazingly DELICIOUS FOOD! Came for dinner today and everything was just absolutely delicious, and at a reasonable price point. We typically come for their Crabs w Garlic Noodles but we got lazy this time and decided on the Tiger Prawns w Garlic Noodles -- which is SO GOOD!!! The garlics noodles at Le Soleil is the best version that you'll ever have.., strong garlic fragrant, not greasy or soggy (so hard to do!) ... it's delish and perfecto! So many other restaurants offer good garlic noodles too but others' are so greasy and drenched in oil.... but not the Garlic Noodles at Le Soleil! Well Done!Quail -- it is a must get IMHO. So, they bring out the quail and do the finishing touch in front of you, where they would ignite the wine to give the quail that final burnt wine flavor... so YUM!! The quail is cooked perfectly, moist and juicy, and you can smell and taste that wine that was cooked during the final touch NICE!!!Lollipop Chicken -- It's chicken drumsticks with the meat turned inside out, then deep fried to a perfectly crisp outside and super moist and flavorful inside. One of my FAV dish here and somehow they make the outside so light and crispy!! Delicious Tofu and Eggplabt -- For veggies, we opted for the eggplant and tofu. I usually don't expect much from this dish but Le Soleil delivers again. It's cooked much better than other restaurants -- flavorful and again, Not Greasy!! I just hate it when my food is flavorful but drenched in oil... NOT HERE and I am so happy about that. Finally - they offered us complimentary ice cream to wrap up our dinner. Service is excellent here with nice ambience. Always good food, good service.... keeps us coming back for years!! Thanks Le Soleil!!

Le Soleil is still our go to spot in Inner Richmond! Our favorite dishes are the tofu eggplant, laksa, and shrimp crab soup. The flavors, service, and ambiance are spot on. We tried the 5 spice garlic noodle this time, and didn't love it, but everything else was amazing as usual.

Every dish we had here was either solid or fantastic! I wasn't sure from the name what kind of food they have here, but it's basically a taste of bold flavors from various Asian cuisines (Vietnamese, Malaysian, Thai, Hong Kong, etc). Here are my ratings of every dish we tried:Lollipop chicken: BMushroom and tofu crepe: BTofu claypot: B-Vegetable fried rice: B-Claypot rice: ACurried short ribs: A+Beef stew: B+Tiger prawns: BClaypot rice was great with the Chinese sausage and crispy bottom of the pot rice. Haven't been to Hong Kong before but it looks like how they make it in there.Curried short rib is fantastic, the beef is so tender and the curry compliments it so well. It's more of a Thai style curry soup.

One of the few weekday lunch options in the entire Richmond District, and an absolute delight. The modern Vietnamese food was flavorful and packed a lot of savory punch. Portions were plentiful, great for sharing. The staff was super friendly and talked us through the menu items.Decor is modern and black is the dominant color which is pretty chic. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

Ordered take out here last Friday with the team at work! We were craving garlic noodles and the place that we wanted to order from does not deliver this far. So, we found Le Soleil, a restaurant that has plenty of Vietnamese flavors from imperial rolls, pho, garlic noodles, seafood, claypots, salads & crepes. I chose the garlic noodles with five spice chicken which consists of egg noodles, garlic and scallions. Chicken was plentiful & flavorful! I prefer my noodles a bit more garlicy and tossed better. The noodles here was more clumpy. I also ordered the imperial rolls which consists of pork, mushrooms, and carrots with a side of thin rice noodles. I would come back to either dine in or take out!
