This is the go-to spot for a strong margarita! The default marg comes with way too much salt on the rim, so I always ask for it without salt. Prices are reasonable as well.The ambiance is pretty low key and local. Seating may be tough to find if you're coming with a large group on the weekend though.

Really painful experience here, it was my birthday and I had a small group of friends. The place was empty except for a few of the bartenders friends. We sat at a table and ordered green tea shots, which he said he didn't know how to make. He ended up making us 2, and we clarified that we would need 6 since it was a round for all of us. He got extremely agitated and aggressively bickered at my friends who were sitting at the table, and everyone was confused why he was yelling at us. He ended up saying things like we were stupid children and that we've never been to a bar before. The vibes got so upsetting so quickly that we got up to leave, and while we grabbed our bags, he started swearing at us and telling us to f**k off. So weird and such an off putting way to start my birthday. I see other reviews mentioning the same bartender, and it's clear he wants to be as mean as possible to groups of girls. This place was absolutely terrible. I have a bad taste in my mouth

I remember this atmospheric place as a hot spot during the early Yelp years in the mid-naughts. All the then-popular Yelpers raved about it, so I figured I just wasn't part of the in-crowd to justify coming here. Social anxiety issues? Perhaps. I was Franklin in the Charlie Brown world of Yelp, the one who had trouble fitting in. Well, nineteen Yelp Elite years later, I've finally made it here. Congratulate me, will ya?Like a lot of people, I'm sure, I was questioning the value of a $17 Margarita. Frankly it was like having two of them without the embarrassment of hoisting two separate tumblers (Toad Hall does that...and I try to look like I'm waiting for somebody). Doesn't really matter how many glasses it takes to down a margarita. I love the vibe of this place and just learned they're the same owners of the Makeout Room right across the street! So you'll often see the same bartenders at each location. :) Known for their margaritas but other mixed drinks are tasty as well. Pictured are the cucumber spritzer, half margarita, and Topo Chico hard seltzer!

A solid place to grab a quick drink before going somewhere else. Known for their large margaritas, be aware that it is cash only! It can get fairly crowded on the weekends, making finding a table inside somewhat difficult, but there is outside seating as well if you can brave the cold. Recommend if you are looking for a place to grab a drink in the Mission!

I had heard a lot about this spot in the Mission and was super excited to try it. However, I was incredibly disappointed.The place itself is beautiful, it was bustling with people on a Saturday Night but it wasn't too loud. The aesthetic of the place is also quite beautiful, bursting with color and bright lights. But that's where the positives end.All three of my friends and I got Moscow Mules, which were probably some of the worst I've ever had. They were watery, with a very slight taste of ginger beer, and all of the alcohol was on the top of the drink. When my friend asked for a straw or something to mix the drink with, the bartender mocked her for asking such a thing and didn't help her.I was incredibly unimpressed, I would maybe try and go back to try their Margs (what they are most famous for), but I probably won't find it in me to do so.

Can't adequately express in words my deep affection for this neighborhood gem. But I'll give it a shot. The Latin American Club has been a haven for the creative community in San Francisco for over thirty years. The ownership, staff, and regular patrons bring love and passion into the space daily. It's the kind of place that constantly reminds you how weird and wonderful and unique San Francisco is.

I'm a born & raised San Franciscan whose family lived in the mission since the early 1960s. Had a terrible experience at this establishment. Bartender was overwhelmed and didn't know how to control their temper and demeanor. We all lose our tempers now and again but you're held to a different standard when you're a manager. As a local we deserve better from a local bar. Please do better

If i could rate the place a zero i would. Blonde bartender was EXTREMELY rude to my party multiple times. You would think being in this industry you could at least be cordial with your customers. You couldn't twist my arm to give her a tip after last nights experience
