Love this cafe. Street parking is usually not a challenge. Lots of space and such cute decor. They have coffee, breakfast, lunch, and wine - a bit of something for everyone. Their food is surprisingly good - ESPECIALLY the tomato basil soup. The staff are super friendly and patient! Great spot to catch up with a friend or get some work done!

I want to give La Promenade Cafe at least 4 stars but it runs into the same problem that most cafes with wifi where people come to study and work...all the tables are FREQUENTLY taken with people that ordered a coffee 2 hours ago and havent bothered to order anything else and also don't have the decency to pack up and go home!We have stopped by here at least 5 times and encountered situations where there are tables of 4 occupied by 1 person with all of their stuff all across the table and when you ask if they can move and share the table with 1 or sometimes 2 other people, they get irked. So I've learned to ask for my coffee in a to-go cup in the event that I cant find somewhere to sit and read my book and have to leave. **FYI: I've have had to leave EVERY SINGLE TIME***Coffee: ok, nothing special and if you order a latte or anything with milk like a London Fog, expect it to be OVERLY milky.*Food: ok, pastries are often stale.*Wait time: for food and drinks is usually 10-15 minutes. *Staff: Nice but anytime I have gone there are maybe 2 people working there, so it would make sense why they no one is going around enforcing table etiquette. I really want to like this place because it is cute inside but someone needs to set some basic rules that I see a few other coffee shops enforcing:1. Set a 1 - 1.5 hour limit with food and/or drink. Feel free to extend that if you purchase more - because honestly you guys are losing money letting people buy one cup of coffee and occupy a table all day while other customers walk out the door because they have no place to sit. (also, this is why restaurants have a 1.5 hour limit!!)2. Share your table - there is ZERO reason why you would allow one person to hog up a table for 4 and not share when the place is packed.3. Keep your coats, bags etc off of tables and chairs - its unsanitary for one, and really makes it hard for people to ask if they can share a table with them.Good luck to you guys but I won't be back!

Ambiance: it's a city themed coffee shop located outer Richmond area, poplar study and work spot for locals Service: very fast and efficient even though there's a waiting line Food & Drink: big menu for coffee drinks and light bites items mainly for breakfast Breakfast bagel - **** egg, meat, and cheese, small sized bagel and tasty, recommend Cafe Mocha - **** solid taste, recommend Bombon - *** a hot beverage made of sweet condensed milk and espresso, very sweet flavor Price: decent quality and affordable prices, expect $10~$15 per person

not pictures is the breakfast bagel and other coffee we got. I love the ambiance and the fast service, this place is open very early compared to most places making it very accessible. The service was great and they had multiple options for you to choose what cheese, meat and bread. The matcha was not sweet but they have a station with simple syrup to add to your liking.

Came here to get some work done, I loved the amount of seats and options they have. I managed to snag a booth with the person I met up with and it was nice because it provided good privacy but also didn't feel stuffy. Large space, and had a really good iced chai and BLTA. For sure would come back here again

Soup of the day was luckily tomato basil soup, I paired it with tuna sandwich, and my friend asked for a grilled cheese on sourdough bread. It's a cute coffee shop that opened on the New Year's Day, and they have quite a lot of books in the back with some board games. Looks cute, vibe is friendly, food is decent.

Great coffee and tea drinks on Balboa. I love their chai latte and espresso drinks. They have a bunch of seating and tables in their large cafe. It's a great place to get some work done on a laptop or read. The employees are always super friendly and kind!!

Dropped by here for a matcha latte (which was pretty good) but will definitely be coming back for the ambiance if anything! It is such a cozy spot for studying with some friends. Service was great and I will be trying a sandwich next time!

I like how this place is open later. They are open until 6pm and Thurs-Sat until 8pm. For such a major city I'm always surprised that so many cafes close before 5. In addition to the standard coffee drinks, they also have beer, wine, smoothies, and Italian sodas. What I like about here in addition to the hours is that it gives cozy coffeehouse vibes. It has a cute Parisian mural and a bookshelf with all books from Green Apple selling for $5. What I don't like about here is that people tend to bring their laptops and keep the tables for hours. I almost feel like there should be a time limit for laptop users sitting there for long periods of time working.

I met up with some friends here and was initially worried about parking, given the area's limited spots. To my surprise, I found a spot nearby pretty quickly and no need to pay for a meter, which was a nice bonus! Upon walking in, the cafe immediately caught my eye with its adorable decor, especially the bookshelves, which added such a cozy vibe. Ordering was a breeze thanks to the kiosk, which made the process super convenient. I decided on the chicken tuscany sandwich, and it was delicious! The roll was perfect--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also ordered an iced Americano, which was solid. However, the only downside was that they forgot to make my drink, and I had to remind the barista. It ended up taking 30 minutes to get my Americano, long after I had finished my sandwich, which was a bit disappointing.Despite the mix-up, the cafe had plenty of seating and a great atmosphere for reading or working on a laptop. Overall, I'd give it 4/5 stars!
