Let's get straight to the point: the burrito was good. Balanced throughout, perfectly warm. Unfortunately, it wasn't as large as other burritos in the city, despite being a bit pricey. 14 or 15 dollars for just the super burrito. It is slightly cheaper if you decide to use cash. I just wish there was a bit more meat stuffed inside.I decided to take my burrito home, since the inside is rather small, with bar-like seating. The place is still very inviting, with classic taqueria touches, although I wouldn't come here if I wanted a sit-down meal. Ultimately, the kindness of the workers and overall consistency of La Playa over the years will definitely have me coming back!

Their spicy Ortega breakfast burrito was spicy! I normally don't do spicy too well but luckily there was a liquor store next door for me to grab some milk and cool off.I came from the block party and needed something to soak up the excess alcohol and that burrito did a good job. Thank you to the cashier that gave me extra napkins! Man, I was sweating!I think I found a new burrito spot! I'll be back.

After a run at Great Highway, we made our way to La Playa Taqueria for some lunch. The space is pretty small only having bar sitting and a few two seat tables. We got an Al Pastor Super Burrito and Cali Burrito. Both burritos came with some chips and salsa which was a win in my book! After devouring our food, we came to the conclusion that this place was pretty good for being in the Sunset. Prices were fair, quality was good and the staff was nice!

Their food is not bad, it's actually good. However I will never go back here because for years they have been the absolute RUDEST people to all of their customers. I genuinely do not understand how they're still in business or why they are so unapologetically and consistently mean to their own customers.

I have been a customer of La Playa Taqueria for over 15 years now and their food and service have always been quite satisfying. The restaurant is rather clean and its beach themed decors are quite attractive. I make it a point to eat at this restaurant whenever I am in the area.

This spot is solid - one of the most legit burrito spots outside of the mission. Not every item is great, but I highly recommend their burritos. Pro tip: order them without rice. Also, their carnitas is really good.

Quick service and good food that always hits the spot. There is an older man that works there who doesnt give back cash change for some reason but all the women that work there do and are always super nice.

This was our second time ordering food from La Playa. We love it! Everything we order is delicious. This time we ordered the Carne Asada Platter, Chicken super burrito, and fish and chips. The Carne Asada is my favorite. So yum! Even their french fries are the best. We will definitely be back.

It's a basic no frills taqueria, which in San Francisco usually translates to quality food. No such luck here--everything is consistently under-seasoned, overcooked, and just generally unpalatable. Ingredients are not fresh, either. The absolute worst thing I ordered was the chicken tamale, which came as pictured. It says it was a previously frozen tamale, so I wasn't expecting greatness, but come on. How can you serve something like this?
