Kayah is an offspring of the same team who brought us Burma Superstar. It's touted as an Asian fusion restaurant, but their tea leaf salad has remained as unadulterated as it has since they first started serving it at the original BS on Clement St. Their bar carries a wide variety of different liquors, and we immediately grew curious about their slushy machines. We ended-up ordering the Kipling, which was a coconut pandan cocktail, and so refreshing on a sunny winter day. The servers were extremely attentive, and I could tell right off the bat that they all carried themselves to the same standards of excellence. Our bartender checked each and every single glass and serving ware prior to dishing it out to patrons. This small act of keen attention to detail says everything about what a restaurant aspires to be. All in all, such a beautiful restaurant - perfect for casual drinks with friends or a romantic date!

This place was fairly new and I had an interest in Burmese food so we went to check it out!The ambience / vibe was as hip as you could ever want! Definitely easy on the eyes with cool house music playing the whole time. The food was delicious! We had fish stew, Wagyu, beef, cocktails, and a variety of other things. All delicious. The only issue I ran into was that it was difficult to tell what was a full portion and what was a smaller, appetizer-like portion. For example, the fish stew was enormous and couldn't be finished in one sitting while other items on the other hand, were delicious, but also a bit small in portion. Also, and this may just be our issue, we were given food that had... For lack of a better term, multiple parts/steps, and we weren't exactly sure what to do with it. We were just handed the food and told to have a good meal. This was especially confusing because this was a main dish and the appetizers hadn't come yet.Aside from those small things, I thought this place was very good!

One of my new favorite Burmese restaurants in the city! Came here on a weekday night and not too busy. It just opened in Chase Center, and it's part of the Burma Food Group chain including Burma Love and Burma Superstar. This location has more of a classier vibe, with ambient lighting and a nice bar.Dinner portions were huge, would recommend getting a couple dishes to split family style. It offers a unique Burmese American-fusion menu, putting an Asian twist on classic dishes like the streak frites with a curry ketchup.Platha dip: 10/10 Flaky and buttery soft bread. Comes with sampler dips: chocolate truffle, honey butter, and coconut curry. The chocolate truffle was such an interesting combo and definitely my favorite of the three. It had a deep, earthy flavor.Steak frites: 9/10 Honestly impressed by how good this was for a non-steak house. The curry ketchup had a tangy sweetness to it that complimented the steak well. Meat was very juicy and tender.Coconut Curry: 8/10 A solid curry, loved the rich coconut sauce and potatoes in it.Overall was pleasantly impressed by this restaurant - 10/10 experience.

Newest Burmese restaurant in the city! Super classy spot right next to the chase center. The morninga soup was delicious. However, I wish it came with more fish. The spring roll was just okay, it was kind of coming apart as we ate it. I'm curious to go back and try their other dishes.

Came back for dinner with a party of 5, so we made reservations. The restaurant seemed to be more lively than last time, which was great to see. We split the Tan's Chicken Lollies as an appetizer, and then I got the Ceviche Shere Khan for myself, which came with Split Pea Chips.Tan's Chicken Lollies: 4/5, very much like the Burmese Fried Chicken I tried before. Sweetly sauced and tender meat.Ceviche Shere Khan with Split Pea Chips: 5/5, lovely fresh flavors with large pieces of seafood! The Split Pea Chips were rather oily though, but I still greatly enjoyed the dish.Over all the things I have tried at Kayah, I would definitely order the Ceviche Shere Khan again. Looking forward to my next visit!

Came with a few friends to try out this restaurant in New Year's Eve! The ambiance was very nice, and I love how the restaurant is decorated. Moreover, the servers were attentive and made sure to fill our waters as well as to regularly check up on us! The location is also great - right next to the Chase Center. For food, we got a plethora of dishes, as seen in my photos. I personally only had the crispy pork belly and coconut rice. The rice was very good, and I had very much been looking forward to it as I'm a fan of Burma Love's coconut rice. The crispy pork belly was quite crispy and fatty. The pineapple slaw that accompanied the dish was a bit too spicy for me though. Definitely a solid 8.5/10 :)I look forward to coming back again and trying new dishes as well as trying out their drinks!

Really great Burmese food. Friendly staff and also very attentive. Beautiful interior and outside patio overlooking chase center big screen. I had the soup of the day, seafood Tom yum, the tea leaf salad, and a drink (lychee express). The soup was for me. Excellent sour, spicy broth with crispy halibut on top, lots of veggies, mushrooms, and shrimp. Amazing, amazing, amazing. I would go back just for that. The tea leaf salad was nice and pungent, although a little salty for me, (I know tea leaf salad is salty), but excellent flavors with great crunch. The drink wasn't my preferential choice, but good sweetness and very pretty. Will come back, (definitely for the soup, but definitely to try more of the menu as well).

A new place that is part of the Burma Love restaurant group opened up by the Chase center. Came for dinner slightly before a basketball game ended and got seated right away. However, when the game ends, it got packed really fast! We ordered the Burmese tiffin (requires two people and costs $40 each person), which comes with tea leaf salad, roti plates, rice (regular and coconut) and choice of Burmese curry and kebat stir fry. We choose beef curry and shrimp stir fry. This was enough portions for two people! We also got the ceviche shere khan, which was delicious. I love the scallop and shrimp but am not a fan of squid, generally. I would come back to try out their lunch menu, which is completely different from their dinner menu.

Great service and good food! Staff is very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. They offered to close the doors to the patio if we were cold and also asked if we wanted them to take a photo for us. We ordered the roti which is a large potion with 3 sauces - honey butter, truffle butter and curry. It was tasty and very filling. We also ordered the chicken lollipops which were flavorful and tender. My husband also had the branzino which he also really enjoyed. Overall everything was tasty, service was great and we would definitely come back again!
