Shoutout to the street sign that directed some aimless and hungry wanderers to Julie's! We never would've found this spot if it weren't for their a-frame outside promoting their super reasonable lunch buffet. We were a little skeptical at first because it was pretty hidden on the top floor in a mostly empty retail center, but this ended up being a pretty solid spot. The buffet had a variety of options like sushi, teriyaki chicken, japchae, and gyoza among other Asian cuisine offerings. They also had selection of salads that ranged from caesar and kale to greek. The grand total for lunch for 5 of us was $70, probably as reasonable as you can find in the FiDi. If you eyes are bigger than your stomach, it can be easy to go overboard, especially when there's such a good array of foods. The lady working the register was super nice and friendly, and even offered to let us weigh as we go so we didn't end up surprised when we got rung up.

I love having variety in my meals, and that's why Julie's Kitchen has been my go-to lunch option near the office. The food is generally very solid and nothing to complain about, and I love that I get to get something different each time and expect it to be pretty good. My go-to options at Julie's Kitchen include spring rolls, kimbap, cucumber kimchi, bean sprouts, kale salad (love that it's dressed well enough that I can hardly taste the bitterness of raw kale), tteokbokki, roasted broccoli and brussels sprouts, and shrimp avocado salad. The mapo tofu has more of a gochujang flavor, but hey, there's clearly Korean influences in all of the food. There are many veggie-heavy options so I'm sure to get my nutrients in each time I come! For $10.95 per pound in San Francisco, it's a price that's hard to beat. The person who's always working the front is always very friendly too. :)

Stumbled upon Julie's Kitchen while walking around Sutter looking for walk in lunch options for five. Located inside the Crocker Galleria. Pay per pound buffet style experience with a huge selection of, primarily Asian, food items to choose from. Salads, hot items, sushi rolls, and much more. To go only but the Galleria has plenty of seating options on all floors.Loaded my box up primarily with meat; items like beef and broccoli, teriyaki chicken, fried chicken. Only $10.95 per pound which is pretty solid but watch out as the weight will add up quickly! Fortunately, you can weigh as you go. Overall, the food as quite solid. It's not mind blowing but it's better than a stereotypical cheap buffet. If you ever have an Asian food craving, this will definitely satisfy it. Plus the diversity of items allows for a pretty custom experience that can accommodate many.

A decent place for a variety of food in downtown. They offer lunch plates/combos and buffet style plates. They have some mixed salads, fruit, veggies (with/without sauce), ban chan, fried chicken, fish, japchae, kim bap, and more!I usually like to grab some salad, fruit, kfc, tteokbokki, japchae, sausage, and some more veggies.

Looking for a quick lunch in the city, we stumbled upon Julie's Kitchen, and I gotta say I think I might have a new addition to my lunch rotation during office days! Located inside the Crocker Galleria, this gem offers a pay-per-pound experience with some many different types of food to choose from. From salads to kimbap to other asian dishes, this is a one-stop shop to satisfy multiple cravings. I filled my box up with beef & broccoli, grilled chicken, california rolls, fried rice, korean fried chicken and more. What's really surprising is that it's only $10.95 per pound. Once you fill your box, you'll go to the cashier where they'll weigh your box and you pay from there. I think in a city where an affordable lunch is hard to find, I found Julie's Kitchen to check a lot of boxes for me. I think the value, quality, options, and flavor are all there for me to make add this spot on my location. It's all to-go but they plenty of 2-top tables on the 2nd and 3rd Floor of the shopping mall. Bigger tables are available at the bottom floor.

It is like finding an oasis in the desert. 90% of the shops in Crocker Galleria are closed. Julie's Kitchen is a familiar brand. I remember eating at their Fremont St. location, in the alley, back in the early 2000's. The selection has diminished. There's no more tri-tip steak or salmon. Now it is tilapia. I would have preferred at least salty grilled mackerel instead. $11 a pound is cool for the selection. Nothing stood out as great. I wanted some tempura but they only had deep fried sushi. At least they had fried chicken. That was OK. Service is pay by the pound. On the bright side, there are plenty of seats now, not like before the pandemic.

My favorite workday lunch spot. First of all, the women who run this place are just the sweetest. There aren't many businesses left at Crocker Galleria and I'm glad Julie's has managed to survive. Please support this wonderful small business! They have delicious bentos and sushi plates but the best is their hot and cold bars. Imagine all your favorite banchans, Chinese comfort food, sushi rolls and perfectly cooked meats! I love getting a little of everything and always go for the shrimp/avocado salad, inari pockets, seaweed salad, grilled chicken or steak and one of the spring rolls. Honestly, I'd eat here everyday if I was back full time in the city. You pay by the weight and there used to be a fun challenge where you get your food for free if you guess the weight correctly. Food is always delicious and well priced for the area.

Visited recently when we were in the area. This Julie's Kitchen is located inside on the top floor of Crocker Galleria. CG is eerily empty saved for this Julie's Kitchen and a few businesses that's inside, most stores are closed and gone. I think we can thank the pandemic. We decided to try the Bulgogi Steak Plate and brought a bottle of tea. Bulgogi steak plate tasted pretty good. Huge portions so we shared. Easily can be at least two meals if eaten by one. We were both full and satisfied. My husband tried this place before but this is my first time here. He told me that before covid, this place sells food by the pound. Now it's a set lunch type of place and you placed the order in the front, no going inside. You either take the food to go or sit and eat at the tables lined outside the restaurant. Not much atmosphere because there's not much of anything.

One of my favorite lunch spots near my work! It's a really good deal for $10.99/lb of food. It's perfect for me since I'm trying to eat more salad and lose some weight. I came here for 2 Fridays for lunch. I used the paper plate and filled my plate with salad, 2 pieces of sushi, teriyaki chicken, fish, avocados, poke, seaweed salad, spinach, etc. Both times was only $10 something! A tip is to use the paper plate instead of box, cause it will weight less and you can eat it at the table before going back to your office. There are plenty of seats. It's sad to see the empty stores at this mall, but so glad Julie's Kitchen is still hanging in there. I read the SF Gate article about the landlord wanting them to leave, so come enjoy their lunches while it's still here.
