I visited Joy Hing during lunch hour on a Friday and there were a lot tables to choose from. The waitress attended to me quickly and brought me a hot tea and glass of iced water. I ordered Rare Beef Flank and Meatball Pho and it was great!! I added some of the condiments to give my Pho a bit more flavor. I enjoyed it very much and will likely visit again.

First visit: clean and pretty large for something so central/affordable. Beef chow fun was good. I tipped well and provided a 5-star review.Second visit: ordered rare beef, brisket, tendon and tripe pho. Not sure if they saw the review or if they expected I would tip as well regardless of their service, but the bowl came out without tendon and tripe. I was not advised of this beforehand. When I asked the waitress about it, she told me that they haven't served that in a long time. Rude. I should have been told about the change while ordering or they should've made adjustments to the menu! It's misleading.I'm not handing out free 4 and 5-star reviews anymore, y'all. I see why the restaurant was so empty now :(

Stopped by for lunch today excited to see what what sort of BBQ they have. Don't let the name fool you. There's not much BBQ here and certainly no BBQ noodles. The only BBQ they have here are six rice plates and you can choose from: beef, pork or chicken. There are no BBQ meats over noodles as an option. The other 95% of their menu consists of noodle soups, vermicelli, entrees, seafoods, rice plates, chow fun, chow mein and veggies.I ordered their yellow sliced chicken noodle soup. Comes with a side of ginger sauce, a slice of lemon and jalapenos. The broth was wayyy overly salted. I could already taste the salt burning my tongue. Too much MSG. My colleague ate here and she felt soo sleepy afterwards. I did enjoy the hot tea provided. The restaurant only had 2 other tables when I dined in. It was quiet but maybe it's a Monday? No service after your order is placed. Very quick my noodle soup came out in 2 mins after I placed my order. I said "Wow that was quick!" The server responded "Yeah, it's soup so it's quick!"

Not sure why this place only has 3.5 stars. This place is bomb. Came in with a group of 14 and they sat us in the private room. Pretty good spot for some pho and broken rice plate as we came back from Tahoe.

The chicken pho is distinctive here for its aromatic broth and the flavor of chicken meat. I haven't tasted the meat of the chicken itself in many years, as most establishments offer chicken that is either completely bland, fried, or over-seasoned. Here, the simple, slightly gamey flavor of fresh chicken shines through and it is delicious! The broth is rich and compliments the chicken and thin noodles (our preference over the wide noodles). The only accompaniments are slices of lemon and jalapeño and a tiny saucer of ginger scallion sauce. We were disappointed that the fried egg rolls did not resemble imperial rolls.

First - be careful of the bill they give you. On the printed receipt, they already include 18% tips, yet they don't tell you but still show tips row on there for you to fill. On the initial handwritten receipt, all the items are 2-3 bucks higher than the price you saw on the menu. Ask them why before you pay!! Second - their pho is the worst I got in the neighborhood. Not so much meat, tons of noodles. In Their "special", which is their spicy beef noodles soup, they don't even give you much of a beef broth, replacing with bland water and chili oil. Avoid at all cost imho, you could totally get better pho/food in the neighborhood.

I got the saddest beef pho ever. It only came with a few slices of beef and some noodles. I was still hungry after I ate here. Would I go back probably not. I couldn't even take a picture that's how sad my pho was.

We came to the city to watch the parade and saw this place pretty full so decided to stop in. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, beef with oyster sauce and some shrimp dish. All 3 were TERRIBLE!!! The service was ok but the food sucked.
