Very low key Korean restaurant in the Tenderloin that seems to have a loyal following. Hits all the basics on the menu. Everything I tried was delish and usually the portions are big enough so that one item will fill you up for under $20.Kimchi Pajun: Tasty and pretty fresh since the texture is very delicate. Lot of kimchi mixed in. The egg in the middle is a little difficult to eat. I guess you just dip the pancake in the yolk like toast?Kanpoongki: Well, it doesn't come in a pineapple like old Yelp photos. But it's still quite delish. They got that super crispy signature Korean Fried Chicken skin with no soggy fatty patches underneath. I think the trick is to twice-fry, so you render off any of the underskin fat. Great sweet and salty sauce too.Combination Soft Tofu Soup: Loved how this came out bubbling and filled with so many different things. The sausage was more like a hot dog, sliced thin. The "ham" was actually spam. Big chicken slices and nicely marinated dark meat and small bits of bulgogi beef. In terms of seafood I saw a few unshelled mussels and one shrimp. Plus lots of soft tofu. No kimchi in the soup, but some came on the side, so I just mixed that in. I'd put a little bit of the purple rice on my spoon then scoop some solid bits and then fill the rest with broth. Such a delicious and filling meal. Kinda amazing that it was under $20 (before tip).Hot Iron Pot (Kimchi Rice) w/ Beef: I just can't pass up the opportunity for sizzling food; I blame Chili's fajitas from my youth. This was essentially like dolsot bibimbap, but with kimchi rice instead of white rice. It was very veggie forward, which seemed daunting at first, but worked after mixing everything together. I opted for a beef add-on, which was a modest portion, though tasty addition. Only issue is that rice on the bottom was charred black and not crunchy rather than the typical crunchy browned. They used an iron skillet, so I wonder if it just got hotter than a stone bowl.

Uber eats order reviewWas really excited about our order only to find most of it inedible. Not sure if it was bad because it was toward the end of the day (ordered around 7pm on a Friday)We got the galbi, japchae, spicy beef tofu soup, and it came with a free ramyun. The japchae and ramyun were completely nuked and overcooked - the noodles kinda just mushed and melted when you ate them. The cabbage used in the japchae also tasted like it hadn't been washed The galbi was ok, very thick pieces and not too much flavor. The tofu soup was decent, not great. The rice that came with it was also overdone (soggy and mushy). Really disappointed.

Decent Korean food, but a bit on the pricy side for what it is. I had the pork bulgogi and it was pretty good, and the sides it came with were also pretty good. I also tried the kimchi pajun, which was wayyy overpriced (like $17) and was not good. Definitely don't order this. The service was fine but the dining area is a bit dark and gloomy. Definitely more of a to go place.

Pretty good for a quick Korean lunch in this area. Love the galbi lunch for myself. When I used to come with friends, they like to order one of the Haemul sundubu-jjigae 해물 순두부찌개 (spicy seafood soft tofu stew soup) and have it with rice. We usually share our picks and that makes for a pretty satisfying meal. In the TL close to City Hall, Asian Art Museum, and the Main Library.

No lie, this was the best BiBimBap I have had. Now, I haven't had all that many, but it was fresh, they catered to my onion allergy, even the kim chi, and the egg was perfectly cooked with yummy runny yolk.I avoided coming here for so long as the sign didn't look great not the neighborhood, but it was fire. The staff was super nice and helpful with my allergies, and they got me the food super quickly. On the inside, the place looked clean and cozy. Quite a few customers, so definitely a place established in the area. Very, very happy I ate here.

Delicious tteokboki (or rather duk bok ki as they spelled it) slathered in that delicious korean sauce served with the customary banchan (a trio).I also liked their canned rice drink (sikhye) which reminded me of japanese amazake, unsurprising given how many similarities the two cuisines share. The server was very sweet and accomodating. Gotta come back for their tofu soup and pancakes.

I tried the Beef Soft Tofu Soup at Jin Mi Korean Cuisine. It was okay, but I've had better. The portion size was small. The purple rice was a good pairing, but overall, the meal left room for improvement.

I am disappointed. I got burnt and broken plastic in my food. I had to throw my food out. I nearly cracked a tooth.
