Il Canto Cafe

Small but delicious spot for a grab-and-go meal. We had the bacon, egg and cheese bagel with avocado and chipotle mayo. The bagel was so soft and flavorful and held up nicely with each bite. We also ordered the burrito with bacon, egg and cheese with avocado and chipotle sauce. This option was equally delicious and was a little easier to eat on-the-go. Great option if you're going to be walking around. No seating available inside but they do have an outdoor section next to the cafe with patio furniture if you absolutely must sit down to eat. Staff was friendly and worked quickly. Would definitely come back. Highly recommend.

Updating my review. Il Canto is often featured in lists regarding the best breakfast burritos in SF. This is a popular delivery spot, but I finally went in-person. It's located in the FiDi and there's no indoor seating, but there's a few outdoor tables next door, a few parks nearby, as well as the Ferry Building. They do a great takeout business--there were lots of Doordash motorcyclists waiting outside. Next time, we will call ahead of time to pickup so it's ready when we get there. They are efficient--they have to be, they're so popular. Service is good and quick--we only waited 10 minutes, which is what they said. Review is updated to be 5 stars because that breakfast burrito is better hot in-person than delivered (and it's pretty dang good delivered.) Lots of meat, good flavor, grilled burrito, delicious chipotle sauce, good avocado, and lots of eggs (2, but seemed like more than other breakfast burritos I've had.) Honestly, it's a good value compared to what I've paid for other (very. good) breakfast burritos in SF. Coffees are also good.

They serve up some of the best breakfast burritos I've had anywhere! The ingredients and flavors are delicious and perfectly executed. I love the chipotle burritos. Their lattes are done very well too! I'll take their latte over Starbucks any day. It's a very non-assuming pick up only spot. So, no dine in space. I highly recommend ordering ahead online, if you're short on time, because they get very busy. Service is second to none. It's fast, efficient, and friendly.

I'm on the search to find the city's best breakfast burrito and il canto did not disappoint! I was pleasantly surprised to see a small cafe crank out such a bomb burrito lol. It's also a competitive price compared to other ones I've had in the city. Service was quick as they don't have inside seating and it's more so a grab n go. I got the sausage breakfast burrito - the rubric is as follows :- size: 9/10- flavor: 9/10 - price: 9/10 well priced and sized at ~$12 - tortilla: (yes its own category) 9/10 - inclusions: 10/10 because it came w a sauce, avocado, and the choice of a meat without having to add anything extra Happy that it's a walking distance from work - excited to come back for my breakfast burrito fix!

Ordered Veggie Bagel & a cup of tea. The bagel sandwich is amazing. All ingredients (avocado, spinach, tomato, cheese, egg) are fresh and flavorful. Fast & friendly services. This place has seatings outdoor for your convenience. It can be loud at times due to the traffic. But, it's totally worth it! I've to come back for their famous Grilled Breakfast Burrito... Tips: Order food online. (The average wait time is 10-15min.)

Really fast takeout burrito spot in fidi! No seating inside; it's just an outside counter where you order. We ordered and got our burritos within minutes. The man working the cash register was very friendly. I wasn't a fan of the pesto spinach burrito (was soggy and pesto was very overpowering; I also added ham which was too salty) but the sausage avocado burrito was very good! It had lots of flavorful chipotle sauce. Burritos were also very affordable at $11-12 each!Would come back to try other burrito combos.

I was in San Fran a few weeks ago and I'm still dreaming about this breakfast burrito we added jalapeños to. Look at those grill marks! 1000/10 The line was long but the service was fast! Worth it worth it worth it!

One of my fave places to get a breakfast burrito! This spot was discovered by my sister when she was working in the city. Ever since then, she'll make an effort to grab this whenever she needs to go into the office. It's basically a reward. They serve many items such as pasta, bagel sandwiches, salads but I love their burritos! It's jam packed with eggs, cheese, avocado, your choice of protein and potatoes. It's wrapped in a soft tortilla; I'm just drooling as I write this. I like to add salsa and jalapeños to mine to add a kick to it. You forsuuuure will not regret trying this spot out. Maybe you can stop by before heading into the office :)

This is my second time ordering from Il Canto. Does not disappoint! The last time I ordered my burritos seemed bigger & more moist I did order a different burrito. This time I got the meat lovers with avocado & the regular burrito with potatoes & avocado. I was not a fan of the regular burrito, it was just lacking flavor. The meat lovers was divine & I would order that again. The last time I ordered I got the regular burrito with avocado & bacon and that was a perfect combo. The meat lovers was really good but a bit overpowering at times. Still very good.Every time you order they write your name on the bag which I love (even if you doordash which I did)! Still on the hunt for the best breakfast burrito in the city but this will for sure be on my list.
