So happy we came to eat here. The food was amazing and the variety was innumerable. You will find what you want or get multiple dishes and share. I ordered H3. Shrimp Chow Mein. It was delicious. I also ordered the green onion pancakes as an appetizer they were good... I asked for some sweet & sour for dipping and that added to the flavor. Seating was fairly quick (15-20 min), busy but great environment, service was fast & friendly.

I discovered Hon's Wun-Tun House in San Francisco's Chinatown through TikTok and Yelp, and I can see why so many people felt compelled to share it. The restaurant offers an authentic experience, and despite having spent years in the Bay Area, I had never been to Chinatown before. I made a special trip to immerse myself in the culture and, most importantly, the food--and it did not disappoint. The food was outstanding, and the customer service was great. Despite the restaurant being packed and the staff incredibly busy, the waitresses were attentive--not just to us but especially to my grandson, who absolutely fell in love with the place. The atmosphere, the flavors, and the overall experience made it clear why this restaurant has been around for over 40 years.Anytime I'm in the area and craving this food, I will 100% stop by. Honestly, even on a day like today, when the craving hits, I'd gladly drive from San Jose to Chinatown just to enjoy these dishes again. The food was fresh, cooked to order, and absolutely delicious.A must-try--10/10!

F6. Green Chives & Pork Dumplings (3.0) These taste exactly how you'd expect them to taste! I didn't find anything particularly special about them and they're average price.D12. Green Onion Pancake (5.0) Truly the best scallion pancakes that my husband and I have ever had. They're perfectly crispy and layered whilst being perhaps a smidgen too oily, but no matter. You can't eat scallion pancakes without oily lips. This is also saltier than I'm used to, but it really helped bring out the flavor of the green onions. I can't bring myself to order scallion pancakes at other restaurants now since trying it here.B3. Beef & Cilantro Rice Roll Lunch (4.5) This has more beef than appearances lend itself to. The rice roll was really soft and chewy, making it a pleasant eating experience. I felt that it was lacking in saltiness, but since we ordered a bunch of other dishes that were well seasoned, this didn't bother me.B7. Chinese Doughnut Rice Roll Lunch (5.0) How can you make carbs taste better? You wrap it in more carbs. This is an easy crowd pleaser. You just have to eat it fresh before it gets too hard!

Such good comfort noodle soup here! I always know I'm getting a good meal. The noodles are served so quickly and they have great texture. I really enjoyed my pickled cabbage and shredded pork noodle soup- more thicker round cut vs. the wonton noodles. We also ordered the green onion pancakes and my boyfriend liked it a lot. I personally don't prefer super oily and fried stuff so I had a piece. Good portions for our dishes overall

Came here over the weekend with my wife based upon her recommendation, as apparently, she comes here often for lunch during work. When we arrived, the entrance area was crazy packed and quite the madhouse. They have a waitlist that we had to track down, and was a good 30min wait for our turn for a table for 2. The lady calling out the names has an accent and doesn't speak very loudly. So it's often hard to hear your name being called out. They really should install either a ticketing system, or have some sort of amplifier for the lady when she calls out names amongst a big crowd of people all waiting for their turn. Added to this, the same hostess seating people was also responsible for manning the front registers and taking orders for take-out.Food also took awhile to come out after ordering, as the kitchen appeared to be backed up with the volume of tickets coming in. Despite all this, it was still worth all the waiting as the food here was delicious and definitely hit the spot!We each ordered different wun-tun noodle soups, as well as some rice rolls to share. I had the Beef Organ Wun-tun Noodle Soup. Which if you're not squeamish about organs, is really good. I can also tell why this place is known for their wun-tun's, as the wun-tuns were made really well and the fillings were jam packed with flavor. The broth was also stewed well, and had a delicious rich flavor profile without being too salty or oily. Would definitely recommend coming here for your wun-tun/dumpling fix. However try to come during the weekdays to avoid the crazy rush.

Came for early lunch on a weekend and there was already a line. I put my name on the list and waited for about 15 minutes before getting seated. I ordered the bbq meat and wonton noodle soup plus HK milk tea. They charged extra for a cold drink. The noodles were cooked just right and were super bouncy. The service was so quick! However, I'm knocking down a star due to the extra being charged for a cold drink and for the value of what I get vs what I'm paying for.

Nice casual place with lots of seating. Food comes pretty quickly and is solid! Service is quick and friendly. Got the beef won ton soup and the won tons were super flavorful and yummy and great thin skin with big filling! Best part of the meal! The beef was pretty tender, noodles were firm, thin, and good chew!

Came here with some colleagues! We each ordered a different bowl of their noodle soups. We ordered a tendon & wonton noodle soup, beef brisket & wonton noodle soup, and a mixed beef organs & wonton noodle soup. We all really enjoyed it and service was pretty quick. They are super busy and there are always people waiting outside for a table. I'd suggest to not come during rush hours. Their prices are pretty average for a typical Asian restaurant. I'd probably go to another place next time that's cheaper but just as tasty. Overall rating: 4/5

So this place is apparently known for its wonton soup, and yeah, it's always got a long wait. Honestly, I wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes for it. The food is good, but it's the kind of basic Chinese fare you could get anywhere. The wonton soup? Solid, but honestly, it could've used more soy sauce or hot sauce to give it some flavor kick. It's loud, crowded, and the service is quick with minimal interaction -- perfect if you're in a hurry, not so great if you're looking for a warm, fuzzy dining experience. Honestly, I just don't get the crazy hype. It's fine. It's good. But nothing here made me go, "Wow, my life has changed!" Would I go again? Sure. Would I wait an hour for it? Not a chance.

Had to stop at one of my favorite wuntun places at the end of my little food tour thru Chinatown. Beef Stew WunTun Soup, the beef is very tender and the wuntun tasted like the 1st time I had.BBQ Pork WunTun Noodle Soup, also very good and the broth is perfect.Salt & Pepper Pork Chop was good but I think it need a little more seasoning. The Shanghai Soup Dumplings are still one of the best and comparable to Din Tai Fung. This place is very busy and I can see why. The service is good as well!!!
