A fun spot and full of photo ops. I went at opening on a week day when the kiddos were out of school so I'm not sure if that had any bearing on how easy it was to park (me thinks yes) just steps away. It wasn't busy when we arrived but was significantly more so when we finished, 18 holes later. It took the kiddos about 45 minutes to get through the whole course, which was leisurely with plenty of posing. The woman at the front desk was delightful as well as the restaurant/bar staff. Only Shirley Temples for us but looks like there are plenty of cute cocktails, many of which other folks posted. There's an elevator for folks who need it to get to the upper course but friends in wheelchairs will need a little help getting over the step at the entrance.

My company hosted a team event here in which we all had a blast. Very instagrammable and tik tok conducive place to have some fun with friends and colleagues. We did the whole course which took maybe about 30-40 mins with our 4 person group. Not sure how long it took everyone else from our outing. We got fed some pretty good sliders, corn ribs and pizza. The only issue I would say is that the food took some time to come out. Bartenders were very cool and was able to handle our large group easily.

I had a team building event here with colleagues yesterday and it was fun! We started around 3 pm and ended at 5 for a group of 7 people. At first, I thought the holes were really condensed and compact but given the space limitations they weren't bad after all.I liked that some holes have some interactive features which are different than other mini golf courses. They have full bar and food which didn't get to try. I would definitely avoid coming on weekends or at night as it gets crowded inside.Street parking only.

This place is a HOLE lot of fun (pun intended)! I've been here (since the remodel) twice now - once for a memorable first date and recently for a company holiday party on 1/23/2025. Let me tell you, both experiences were pretty darn great, with just a smidge of chaos sprinkled in for flavor.First, the date: My now boyfriend and I decided to give this quirky mini golf spot a go for our first date, and boy, did it deliver. The upstairs museum course was particularly memorable. It's where, in a moment straight out of a rom-com, I put my head through the Mona Lisa painting, and my date surprised me with a kiss. It was cute, unexpected, and a core memory was made. Between the creative courses, playful vibes, and a little romance, it's safe to say Holey Moley set the perfect stage for our budding relationship.Fast forward to the company holiday party. This place knows how to host a crowd, even if it's not always on time (ahem, where's our food). While the party that arrived 30 minutes after us (cough cough... Apple... cough cough) got their food two hours before us, despite our group paying for the full menu, I will say the wait was almost worth it. The finger food, pizza, and small bites were tasty, with the vegetarian corn ribs and fried chicken sliders stealing the show. Compliments to the chef, but maybe speed things up next time?On the drinks side, they were slightly pricier than I'd like, especially given the dainty pours (the Castro District has spoiled me with its heavy-handed bartenders). That said, the whimsical presentation - drinks in bathtubs and unicorn cups - was an undeniable highlight. Just a heads-up: if you're standing at the bar, assert your presence, or you might get skipped, like I did 3 times in a row.Shoutout to the server who worked our party. He was fantastic - attentive, engaging, and even let an older guest peck him on the cheek for his outstanding service. It's rare to see someone own their role with such flair, and he deserves all the praise.A quick note for long-time patrons: If you're feeling nostalgic for the days when this spot was Urban Putt, you might miss some of the old courses. But hey, if you've got any coupons or games from that era, rumor has it they still honor them! All in all, Holey Moley Mini Golf is a solid spot for a date or event. It's fun, quirky, and memorable, even with a few hiccups here and there. Just pack a little patience (and maybe a snack), and you'll have a ball!

Came here for mini golf on a Friday night and it was a fun time! There's 2 courses, one on the main floor and one upstairs and while the space isn't large, each station is themed and it's fun to go through each one. They keep it interesting with different obstacles and luckily for us it wasn't too crowded so there wasn't much waiting between each hole.

Woof what a downgrade. We loved Urban Putt and Holey Moley is a disappointment. This place is geared towards Instagram obsessed teenagers or if you are looking for an excuse to breakup with your SO. They lost the charm. I hope they redesign the holes and make it more SF. Ambiance, whatever. Didn't eat so can't comment on food. Service is the only positive thing I can comment on.

Love this place. The best mini golf experience I've had in a long time and this is coming from someone who grew up in the 80s. Back then, that was basically all you had: Arcades and mini golf. Maybe laser tag if you were lucky. I digress. Compared to some of the other mini golf courses in the city, this feels a lot more complete and well thought out. The holes are fun and colorful, with tons of details and fun twists. The place is well decorated and has a nice, colorful aesthetic without being too overwhelming on the senses. Overall, I think it is a definite improvement from its previous incarnation, Urban Putt. We didn't order any food, but it did smell and look good. We ordered drinks while we golfed and they were easy to order and brought to us quickly. We went on Saturday during the day and there was a great family vibe to the joint. There were scattered couples on dates as well, which made me happy to see - but I suspect I would see a lot more of that if I went after 8 PM, when kids are no longer allowed. Last thing I'll mention is the service. I've been in the city for a long time and as far as I can remember, friendly service has never been considered an important virtue of small businesses. I'm sure in most cases there's great reasons for that (I know SF has traditionally not made it easy for small business and there's a lot of stresses involved). We tend to not expect personable and friendly service. Maybe we even feel suspicious when we see it. Either way, it was nice to see earnest smiles on the faces of people working there. Peter in particular who served us our drinks and the guy working the bar (whose name I didn't get) stood out but everyone there seemed intent on creating a good vibe. We need more places like this in the city. Something families or friends can enjoy without having to go to places Dave & Busters or drive to the suburbs.

Very cool place to chill and play some mini golf! Drinks weren't as good as cocktail bars that I'm used to but serviceable if you're not picky. I got the two drinks with bubbles(prosecco). I personally wouldn't recommend tho... They tasted too syrupy for me.The mini golf holes were fun and pretty challenging. I do like that they have 18 holes so that your time there lasts a lil longer. They also have a place where you can chill and play games. Overall, nice spot to chill and kill a few hrs

This place is a great spot for a fun outing, whether you're with family, friends, or on a date night! The cost for two people to play 18 holes was $54, which felt reasonable for the experience. What I appreciated most was the spacious layout--much roomier than its previous iteration. We arrived around 6 PM, just before the evening rush, which gave us plenty of time and space to enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed.I do have a soft spot for the old UP, though. It may have been darker and a bit more cramped, but that divey charm was part of what made it special.Overall, I'm excited to come back for another round of mini golf. Next time, I'll definitely try their pizza and snacks, which looked delicious!

Holey Moley is a delightful spot for some indoor mini-golf with a twist, and it has definitely evolved since its previous iterations. Walking in, the fun, whimsical decor immediately captures the essence of a cartoon wonderland. The two levels add a layer of excitement, with the second floor providing a twist that makes you eager to explore what's around each corner. As someone who enjoys food and a beer with my golfing sometimes, I noticed that Holey Moley has upped its food game. The focus on food is more prominent now with the expanded space dedicated to the dining area. After playing a round, it was nice to grab a bite and see families enjoying their meals together. I didn't get a chance to try the food during my visit, but the menu looked enticing, especially the pizza options that seemed like a hit.The service was friendly though not as many people around perhaps since it was mid-day on a Sunday so I think the upstairs kitchen was closed perhaps. Even with the hustle and bustle of family outings and enthusiastic players, the energy was warm and welcoming though it did get a bit noisy at times, with kids and families around (and competing for the holes). All in all, Holey Moley offers a fun, family-friendly outing with plenty of Instagram-worthy moments thanks to its creatively designed courses. While some of the holes felt tighter, especially with the added decor and props, it didn't take away from the overall enjoyment. It's definitely worth revisiting, whether for the nostalgic feel of mini-golf or to dive into their food offerings.
