Hawker Eats

Hawker Eats is a ghost kitchen (on Uber Eats) that operates inside the sit-down restaurant, "The Public Izakaya", located on the NW corner of Post and Jones.The atmosphere is great when dining in, with a single seat to lounge around in if waiting too early for your takeout order.Food-wise, the portions are small but delicious and a great bang for your buck.The Chicken Garlic Noodles for $14 was my favorite and had ample flavor with the chicken being sweet glazed, breaded, and on the softer mushy side instead of crispy.The B1G1F Spicy Tuna roll comes in two rolls of 5 decently sized pieces w/ ginger + wasabi. They were not spicy and included avocado inside.The "pan-fried" potstickers were delicious, though the full dumpling was fried so I assume it was deep-fried instead.All in all, great deal for under 30 bucks. As I mentioned, portions are on the smaller side, so my meal of four items would've filled maybe one-and-a-half people.

I've order from here on Uber eats a few times and their rainbow roll and Philly are always good.The Hokkaido crème brûlée cheesecake is also very nice. It has a pleasant soft taste vs traditional cheesecakes that have overpowering flavor

Hawker Eats has many options but what I chose was the bento box. The chicken teriyaki and pork katsu bento box was okay. The dipping sauces were good. This rating is about 3.5 stars. If you do get the bento boxes, don't forget the spicy mayo and other sauces.
