I love dive bars because they show something unique and honest. Dive bars keep it real especially in this age where bars seem to sprout like weeds as the next hip place to go only to disappear before you know it. Happy Lounge is everything a hip bar isn't but so wants to be. It's the place that you'll keep returning and then you'll bring all your friends and then they'll bring theirs. It's where great memories are made. And that's because of Patty! She's the secret sauce. Sorry to all the regulars, the secret is out! Happy Lounge is an Awesome dive bar and thanks for sharing her with us! .... plus there's relatively easy parking in the area! Cheers Patty!!

Awesome place to grab a drink and play some pool. The staff is sweet, drinks are great and the vibe is chill. It has that neighborhood bar feel; if you come in twice they will know your name. "Welcome to Happy Lounge"

"Helloooooo" "Heyyyyy" "What's up?!"As we walked in, my party of four (two chicas and two dudes) was greeted immediately by Patty (owner/bartender) and some patrons. It may be a dive bar, but it has a fun and friendly atmosphere with a pool table, dart boards, and a juke box. Patty politely asked what the occasion was, and we noted that it was our friend's birthday and move to California. She led us to a VIP room near the back with its own dart board, tv, and plenty of seating. OK, time to get drinks as we threw our stuff down. My bf and his buddy went to the bar. It has the usual imports and domestic stuff. Typical drafts were $5 and pitchers were $15. As they ordered two drafts and a pitcher, they asked Patty how much shots were. She asked what were we thinking of. My bf wanted to start us off easily, so he chose Parrot Bay rum sitting on the shelf. There was about half a bottle left. She just gave the bottle to us FOR FREE and said happy birthday to Erica. Sweet! We left a big tip for her. Some employees offered to carry our drinks back to our room, but the boys handled it.The atmosphere wasn't too loud. The patrons were playing 70's, 80's, and 90's music, but we didn't care. It was a weird mix with Jackson 5 and R Kelly, but it was all good. Patty played a birthday song for Erica. I don't think they served food, but Patty told us that there's a bunch of restaurants next door, in case we get hungry. We ended up getting a few more drinks before heading out. Overall, it was super friendly from the start. It's a clean dive bar, including the bar, VIP room, and restroom. Parking wasn't bad at all. Two hour limits until 6pm, then its free. Special thanks to Patty and her hospitality. We would definitely go there again!

This is the epitome of a local dive bar in the heart of the city. The owners are friendly and fun and it's like the cheers bar where everyone knows your name, unless you're new. Then we won't know your name until you tell us.

I finally made it to the Happy Lounge on Saturday. The door was locked when we arrived, so we knocked, and knocked again. Someone opened the door and asked us to try with more strength next time-- apparently it wasn't really locked, rather the knob was just hard to turn. This is a serious pool and darts spot, and the patrons even compete out of state, so be sure and respect the pool players in the front when you walk by. The bar is staffed by a humorous and friendly Thai gal who will joke around with you. Extra props if you can speak some basic Thai or give a traditional Thai wai greeting. Beers are cold, fairly priced and you can bring in food from outside. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but if you are in the neighborhood and curious, it's for sure worth a stop. You may even spend the entire evening here, it's that kinda place.

I went to Happy Lounge. It's a great place - very clean. The bartender was great, I loved this place! I played pool with a girl named Clara k . She was known as "The C.K. Assassin." She's very, very good. She beat me at pool soundly. The pool table is very nice. I'll definitely come back again. Love this place!
