Got beef combo pho here on a Friday. Overall yum! I got it for take out. It's a bit pricey, coming to ~$17 with tax!! But, this area doesn't get the foot traffic it used to and the pho hit the spot. They were also accommodating when I asked for no noodles -- so, I got extra soup. It comes with 4 halves of meatballs (yum!), nice amount of beef slices (they provide spicy and hoisin sauce packets, which makes for great dipping sauce for the beef), tripe was tasty with great texture (slight crunch, not tough), healthy amount of sprouts.

A nice cozy place for people to stop by and eat lunch! I can't speak for the donuts as I haven't tried them yet (I really want to though!), but their meal items are good. I got the seafood pho and peach milk tea while my mom got the Korean noodle soup (not pictured). The seafood pho tasted good, like any other I've tasted, but it hit the spot since I was starving. The Korean noodle soup on the other hand was too salty for both my mom and me so she had to pour in some of her hot water to dilute it.I would come back here if I'm in the area again, and I definitely want to try their pastries whenever I have the chance!

Really delicious donuts & A+ customer service - will absolutely be going there again!! I had to cater a last minute work event for 70+ people and decided to cater donuts. John (the owner I think) answered the phone as they were closing and was beyond accommodating for our order of 7 dozen donuts + 4 dozen donut holes for the NEXT morning. They already had multiple large orders the next morning so he was worried they wouldn't be able to make it happen - he took my cell# to check with the bakers and called back promptly to confirm! They were gone before we knew it and multiple people asked where we got them. 10/10 recommend if you're catering an event or even just waking by and want a treat. THANK YOU JOHN and team!

With a place like Happy Donuts you can say that I was shocked to find this restaurant sold pho and other Vietnamese food items like rice plates! By the time we came for lunch there were no more donuts in the case so take it as a good sign that they probably sold out - definitely need to come in the mornings one day to grab a couple. As for lunch, we luckily didn't catch too much of the lunch rush and were able to nab a table. Surprisingly for being located in downtown they have a decent amount of tables for you to sit down and enjoy your pho. I ended up getting the beef pho for ~$9 and the bowl was huge! Within 5 minutes of ordering the staff brought a large bowl of the beef pho with a side of lemon & the basil/onions already soaking in the tasty broth. They also have legit spoons for your pho. The bowl is filled with TONS of noodles which I was happy about since I'm a noodle fan, a layer of beef to cook in the broth on top, and some thinly cut onions. The broth here is flavorful and when you add some hoisin makes it even better. The bowl comes out pretty hot, but since I loooove my food on the extremely hot side of the scale I thought it could have been hotter, but there weren't any issues of the meat not cooking in the broth. Staff here is super friendly and quick to take your orders & bring you your food. I will be coming back to try their other dishes during a different lunch!

Some of the best donuts in town! Super convenient location too if you're downtown. There's some public space within a couple blocks where you can sit down and enjoy.

Don't get fooled by the name of this place because it doesn't serve only donuts, but also a good variety of lunch items including noodle soups, rice plates, and sandwiches. And they're pretty tasty too.The place is pretty small but provides a decent amount of tables and chairs for customers to dine in.The price is less than 10 bucks per plate or bowl.My fave is their Korean noodle soup. It comes with Korean glass noodles in a clear but very flavorful chicken broth, with Vietnamese pork slices and ground pork as toppings. It's refreshing and tasty at the same time.

I love a classic no frills donut shop, and their raspberry filled donuts are really good! Their donuts run out quick, so get here early. Greasy sweet and exactly what I want on an early day!

I order a chicken spring roll (it's actually two) from John at Happy Donuts every week. It's delicious and I don't feel sluggish in the afternoon. Lots of veggies and tasty chicken. Thanks, John!

After coming here for weeks, I came to a realization that their donuts (especially the sugar donuts) are actually REALLY GOOD. I eat donuts almost every day from all over the place, so you can take my word for it. Better than Johnny, Bob's, Magic Donuts, or Dinamo (although I like them all). Plus, the gentleman at the counter is always super hospitable and friendly. Aaaand, accepts card even for one donut purchase.
