Happy Donuts is a great & affordable grab-and-go donut shop near Golden Gate Park / Amoeba Music! I got a glazed donut and chocolate frosting donut all for just a few bucks, and I was back out to see the park in a minute. If you wanted to sit down to enjoy your breakfast bites or coffee, Happy donuts also had indoor tables/chairs for guests as well. There was a good selection of donuts, and the staff were very kind too. Definitely consider dropping by Happy Donuts if in the area and looking for a quick bite/drink in the morning!

I have been on a quest in my neighborhood to find quality, espresso, coffee. you would think it would be fairly easy with the plethora of coffee shops available in the upper Haight. But it seems most coffee is too citrusy these days. Either from over roasting or roasting too quickly. Anyway, happy donuts has the best, the very best espresso coffee in the upper Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. I've tried them all. if you want espresso coffee to taste like it does in Italy, get your espresso here! Next time, I'll get a pastry as well.

A great stop for a classic donut (or 3 in my case lol) and some coffee for your walk around Golden Gate Park. While the rainy day was not as fun, the donuts were exactly what we were craving. I went with a Chocolate Bar, a regular Chocolate donut, and a Sugar donut. My wife had the donut holes and a Mocha. They were all good and the staff was very nice and friendly, even on a wet, rainy SF day.

It's the only place left that has donuts in the neighborhood, and it's super affordable. It's great if you're on a budget. Who isn't on a budget these days? The sugar, maple, and maple eclairs are my favorites. After just buying a jelly donut for the first time I was really disappointed. The strawberry jelly was more like jello. The filling was super thick in an artificial way. Too sweet, and not a sign of any actual fruit. It was my first disappointment there, other than the breakfast sammies. I only buy donuts, the egg sandwiches are nothing like the pictures, and nuked to hell.

Happy Donuts making us happy :)) Was strolling on Haight St. before work to kill some time when my nose sniffed out the coffee and donuts. I walked into the store and saw so many varieties of donuts. Yum! I saw it was $13 for a dozen and asked the sweet lady behind the counter if that included everything in the case because i figured the larger bars and fritters were probably excluded. Nope --she said I could toss in whatever I wanted. Their donuts were large and fresh: the have the classics: sugar coated, glaze (original, chocolate, and maple), old-fashioned, sprinkled donuts, and smaller cake donuts coated in crumbs. I took it for my hospital unit for coworkers to share and originally thought they'd be too many and too large since there weren't event 12 of us working that night. But my the middle of our shift the happy donuts had made our tummies happy and the box was empty. such a great sweet treat to have in the area :))

Sandwiches are delicious and staff are kind. "real fruit" smoothies are deceiving though. They are just made of syrup and some ice, no real fruit. But apart from that, it's a good place! Would recommend.

I am a firm believer that a donut shop should have fresh donuts all day, like 2001 Brittany Spears and Justin Timberlake in matching demin fresh. At 11:30 AM these donuts were not fresh. More like 2007 Brittany. Disappointing.

Nice to have a spot open early - hard to find in the upper haight. The donuts are good, standard - nothing extra special.http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/happy-donuts-san-francisco-15?select=-W1e4QXGSql-rtBev6gXVA#-W1e4QXGSql-rtBev6gXVA* Apple fritter - 3.5 starsThis was almost pure sugar! In a good way I suppose.. it was very oily. Not too much apple to speak of. But it had a good kind of crisp, was a little hardened. Good to chew through.* Chocolate cream filled - 3 starsVery soft. I love cream filled so you can't really go wrong with this, and if you are a fan this will satisfy you.

Donuts taste stale, like it's cooked in old oil. This is the worst location of happy donuts I have tried.
