I only order fried chicken here for parties and it's the best in the sunset district. The ladies speak some English but best to speak in Cantonese to them if u can. The fried chicken are drum sticks and always crispy and juicy. It's a small no frills take out place. They sell other items here like noodles and side entrees but I've only ordered fried chicken as they are known for that.

Happy Bakery is a decent takeout spot with dim sum on one side and hot entrees on the other. They offer the classic pick-2-items-with-rice-or-noodles deal at a cheap price, making it an affordable option. Prices are fair and about the same as other similar spots in Chinatown. The food looked good, but the selection wasn't as extensive as some of the other nearby places. The dim sum is your standard SF-style--nothing standout, just your average run-of-the-mill options. That said, the service was good, and the ladies behind the counter know how to hustle. I also noticed locals lining up here, which is always a good sign. It's a convenient spot if you're in the area, but I'd probably only come back if I really needed a dim sum fix and TC Pastry was closed.

One of my favorite dim sum places in the sunset! The size of their dim sum is massive and always packed with flavor. It is cash only but very cheap, around 4 dollars for each set of three. They only do take out it seems but there's a dim sum side and hot food dishes side where you can order from. You need to order pretty quickly as the line is face paced and they're making your box for you as you go. Har Gow & Siu Mai - The dim sum we order the most and usually buy a bunch to last us for breakfast during the week. It is always juicy, flavorful and exactly what you want out of a classic Chinese dim sum.

Great place to buy for parties or potlucks. Class parties, teacher appreciation, or volunteer meals...fried chicken, fried rice and chow mein noodles are the favorites. Easy to serve and fondly appreciated by all. Many other side dishes available as well. Vegetarian options too. Been going here for decades for all my party needs. One stop gets all you need to feed a small family or a huge gathering. They can cater!

I hadn't been here that much because my parents got the food for me. I walked by from the other direction which north or south and then I found that they have all the same food that my mom liked and it's good and everyday they serve the food and I can pay about $20 and eat 2 meals and then I still need dinner. It's not really breakfast but I like it. Thanks mom.

This is a great way to find a light snack, the food is generously served. A lot of Chinese can be seen buying food here. This simply means that the food is good and they are price friendly. The store is unique because one side has food that you can buy to go. The other side has dim sum . I love the Lotus Leaf stuffed with Sticky Rice , Pork . And Duck Egg . Their Sesame Seed Bun is big and delicious.

A 3.5 star experience, but rounding up. Overall nothing great, but nothing bad; a good place if you are in a pinch/hurry. Quality/Quantity - Wow, my "Uber" driver chose a restaurant that was closed, so we came here.Got 4 two item lunch boxes for my "Uber" driver and her family. See pictures of lunch boxes. I was in a hurry today because they unexpectedly closed the Alameda Harbor Bay Ferry due to the storm. Because of this, I was an hour behind schedule and did not take many pictures. There were not many signs describing the food, so we just pointed to what we thought looked good. They have a hot food section, today's lunch, and dim sum on the other side of the business. Atmosphere - Open 6 days a week from 8am to 8pm, closed Tuesdays.Paid metered street parking, good luck. But due to the storm, not a lot of people went out today. Service - Just okay. Price - $8.75 for two items, extra charge for noodles versus rice.Totaling $46 including tax (4 lunch boxes). Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2005.

My go to spot for whatever this mochi with coconut, sugar, and peanut ball stuff. Bought 3 today (1 order) and I believe it was a little over $4.00. Typically don't buy anything else from this place. No inside dining that I've ever known but I only started coming here around 2020 and they've never offered it even though they do have indoor seating. It's all to go. They have a hot food to go bar on the opposite side of this dim sum bar. I believe I've tried their noodles before. Pretty fairly priced. Did notice the lady wearing gloves getting my stuff bag it using tongs but also not removing the gloves to take the cash. Parking sucks on Irving unless you come early like before 10. I was able to score parking right in front of the 22nd & Irving Market. Definitely be ready to circle around a couple of times if you want anything on Irving between 19th and like 24th.

Wow. Seriously? The place is not making me Happy after a recent purchase. Dim Sum items have drastically reduced in size and the buns barely have any filling. Spending almost $4 for a Large Chicken Bun, the filling was disappointingly small. We asked for half dozen but they ran out and sold us a 3 large and 3 regular Chicken Buns. Both buns had small amount of filling. Did they change ownership or what? Sorry, we won't go out of our way to buy from this bakery anymore.

I'm supporter of Chinatown small business. But this place turned me off because of their staff. I hope the owners will see this.Terrible experience! The customer service was awful--the staff seemed uninterested and unwilling to help as soon as I walked in. The food tasted stale and didn't seem fresh at all. What's worse, the hygiene was shocking--food was left uncovered, and the staff weren't wearing masks. While talking to customers, saliva literally got into the food--absolutely disgusting! I wouldn't buy anything from here again. Avoid this place!
