The service was great (my wife does all the speaking but the waiter did speak some English). The ma (numbing) broth was very unique and was our favorite over the spicy that we usually trend towards. The meat selection is fun and has what you would expect from hot pot. The skewers were the highlight, I loved that the vegetables bring the stock along so that when you bite in, it tastes like the soup and keeps the meat moist! The dessert options had a fried mochi with soy sauce glaze and fried mantou that I would've been happy just snacking on without any other food. The place feels like home and doesn't feel very rushed on a calm Sunday evening. It was a nice way to unwind after a busy Sunday.

been to this many times. brought my family here, brought my friends here. sadly this latest time was the most dissapoiting. The itmes were not fresh, the service was okay. nothign to rave about anymore. they are located in like a little alcove of a plaza behind another plaza, off a main road so if you wern't looking for it, its hard to find. this latest time i went on a tuesday for lunch and was highly dissapointed compared to the other times i went. the sauce bar was dry and low ( you can kinda tell that they just covered it from last night and refrigerated the sauce)- the grossest one imo was the green onion, it was sitting in water being soggy. When i asked for a refill, it made more sense, they previously froze the green onion. also they cut it hella chunky that it wasn't good for sauces. the meat was on the tougher side and a lot of the normal stuff (aka what was labeled in the fridge) was not available. the vegetable was also not as fresh as it usually was either, you can tell some were going bad. actually had a stomachche afterwards- thankfully not food poisioning. service was decent when you put in an order on your phone, but if you need them otherwise, they went poof and you can barely find them. joverally. i'm .dissapointed but i'll give them one more chance in the future to make sure this wasn't a once off.

First off, this is AYCE and the food quality is good. Been to a few places where you can taste the tough dry freezer burn meats ( this is not one of those places). The staff was very friendly and service was fine. The only problem is this has a small self serve area (3 fridges) that literally allows for 3 people at a time. Also, the skewer style for hot pot is not great. The flimsy sticks get tangled up fast when placed in the pot (easily fixed by removing the food from the skewers but still...). It also didn't make sense that some of the skewers had seasoning on them ( this is hotpot. Not hotpot and/or BBQ) so the seasoning is just getting washed off in the soup.Overall, price and food quality is worth it. Unless I was doing an early dinner, I would most likely not go just because I would be frustrated waiting to get food from the self serve fridge line.

What a spicy but filling time. Our party of 6 knew we had to try out this skewer all you can eat spot. We were able to divide our group into 3 and get two pots going, we went with house spicy, black chicken and mushroom in one and spicy butter and black chicken and mushroom in the other. Definitely trust that this soup base is going to be SPICY. We might have abandoned the spicy broths 10 minutes into the meal favoring the non spicy one. After you order on your phone by scanning the QR code your soup base should be out shortly. You can begin to assemble your dipping sauces and selecting skewers from their self help refrigerators. Some of our favorites had to be the quail eggs and the beef wrapped pickle vegetable. If you're not feeling like eating all skewers you can also order items off the online menu like fatty beef, fish paste, fried tofu skin and vegetables. After your meal there is watermelon in the fridge as well as ai yu jelly in the self help area. However on the day we went another table had cleared out both dessert dishes and the staff didn't refill them. We noticed that the staff was somewhat hard to get a hold of and once an item ran out in the self help area it wasn't going to be refilled. Despite this we all all ate our fills and left stuffed.

I've been to many hot pot places, but none where the meats and vegetables are on skewers! On New Year's Day, we came here for lunch. I assume we were charged the dinner price of $35.99 for AYCE because it was a holiday. A QR code on the table allows you to order broth and other sliced meats and vegetables. Additional side dishes are available for selection but are not included in the AYCE. There is a sauce bar alongside an array of appetizers, including sesame balls, cucumber salad, and seaweed salad. Across the sauce bar are fridges filled with meats, veggies, and seafood on skewers that you can help yourself to and incorporate into the hot pot. For the broth, we got the half-and-half tomato and the original. Both broths were tasty and became even more flavorful as we cooked the meats in them. The ordered beef were more tender than the beef on the skewers. As for the skewers, I enjoyed the enoki wrapped in pork. We were very pleased with the attentiveness and friendliness of our waitress. I enjoyed my dining experience overall.

We stopped by for dinner, $35.99 all you can eat. The restaurant itself is tucked in the back of a small plaza. Our server was friendly and refilled our broth regularly. You can choose two broths, we got the house spicy soup and the black chicken mushroom. The broths were very flavorful, the house spicy soup was definitely spicy. The sauce bar is serve yourself, and they also have some free Chinese appetizer items. The skewers are also serve yourself from a fridge, there was a large variety from rolled beef, to seafood, to vegetables. You put in an order through your phone for sliced meat, although the quality of the meat wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The sliced meat was labeled as fatty beef/lamb/etc. but the meat was all fairly lean. They also have some side dishes that are extra costs, rice is $2 which was a bit surprising considering you could get noodles for free. Overall I like the variety of items, and the skewers are a nice fun addition to regular hot pot.

We came the day before thanksgiving and I was disappointed. We got seated right away and it wasn't busy. The staff were super friendly and helpful however the food was definitely not fresh at all. Everything was pretty much unavailable and there weren't much to choose from. The menu had lots of options but they were out of stock. The soup base also didn't like since there weren't any flavors other than oily. I might give it another try but I'm not sure if I want to go back.

A Chongqing (CQ) friend recommended this place to me so I came for lunch on a Tuesday. We were the first guest. The place is simple and clean. We ordered the half half soup broth and ordered the sliced pork, fatty beef, sliced lamb and their shrimp paste. We also got a few skewers from the fridge that's in the back. Everything was delicious! If you like spicy get their spicy broth but if you like extra spicy you could add a spoonful of their house special spicy sauce. Their shrimp paste is a must order! We ordered 3 one for each of us. Service was great and the staffs were attentive and friendly. Parking is not an issue. Plenty of lot parking and street parking. Definitely will come back again!

Wonderful surprise finding this Chinese hot pot hole in the wall. Back of 7/11 on Gellert Daly City. Quaint and not so heavily advertise but the broths were amazing. Owner even gave samples of the broths we didn't order. Watch out for the spicey butter broth it's their mild type broth but what a kicker (Szechuan type heat). All you can eat! Food is well prepped, self serve style, good sauce bar, definitely recommend to those wanting something warm and clearing out any sinuses lol.
