It was a quick lunch stop for me. I've been here many times so it's trusted. I got shu mai, baked bbq pork bun, and egg rolls for less than $10. Fresh, warm, and crispy in all the right ways. The bun was soo good that I accidentally ate the paper it was wrapped in. The egg rolls were crispy and warm and had outside dough had the perfect crispiness to it. The shu mai was delicious. They were out of the seafood one by the time I got there so I got the pork one instead. No biggie - still loved it. Had a long walk so this was the perfect afternoon lunch for me. Customer service is quick and efficient. There's no seating available since the store is small. Long line outside leading to the best smelling and tasting goods. They do accept card which is great since I was traveling light today.

the service here is so bad.. but you know how sometimes that's a sign the foods gonna be bomb? i think this place went a lil viral on tik tok so my friend suggested we come here for lunch. i but here are my food ratings:har gow, 10/10 - i will be back for you scrumptious turnip cake, 10/10 - reminds me of home in the best waysesame ball, 10/10 - why did no one tell me this place serves giant sesame balls with no filling. i mean i love sesame balls with sesame paste or red bean or mung bean but this was like a big mochi ball and it's the best sesame ball i've ever had. i took the last one so sorry to the people behind meagain this spot has some horrendous service. rude but straight to the point lol they gave my friends a hard time but i realized being firm with your order and not asking questions was the way to go. if it was a sit down restaurant id care a lot more about service but the food makes up for it! i love the vibes of china town and its nice to see it get busier since covid. will be back soon

Great portions for a bunch of food. They were all out of the ha gaw and seafood siu mai unfortunately which I was rly looking forward to. The shark fin dumplings were a surprising favorite. Everything hits the spot for a to go dim sum place and the size of each dumpling is pretty massive. Also tried the scallion pancake and scallion bun- these also were fire and did not miss. The line gets pretty long but goes by pretty quick bc the workers get you in and out. Good service for a to go dim sum spot.

Authentic spot in SF!!! I came pretty early on the weekend and it was busy, but not too bad. I ordered the barbecue pork bun, the hargow, the rolls and the raisin bread and it was so good! Definitely worth the money and wait. Even though it's more touristy, but definitely worth going for both local and visitors!

Went here to the famous Good Ming Kok bakery a few times and there is always a line. I always see people lining up here and had to check it out. With over 3k reviews, this place has to be good, right?! The fan of this place mainly love it. The place is small and only for pick up, no dine in or seating inside.. My faves here are the scallion bun which is big, super soft and buttery, and a steal for the portion. So delicious! I love bread! It's always best when you get it fresh. It almost never arrives home as I snack on it while going home. Their BBQ pork buns are good, too. We had their shrimp dumplings, baked pork bun, Shu main, egg tarts, scallion bun and more. With everything we bought, the price was very decent! It's best to go early but there is a wait in line. Going after lunch, there is only so much left and limited things to buy as they run out fast. I just wonder where they cook everything and I don't see a kitchen and this place is super tight inside even when customers line up ordering. All street parking so good luck finding one! I wish they were closer to our place or a second location with better parking. They don't speak very good English but as long as you point it out while saying it, you should be good but they are quick so make sure it's what you want. Oh and it's cash only!! Must try! Don't let the rating and line fool you. I think it's worth a try. I'm thinking of the scallion bun and I want some again! [5R,2025]

This place was very average for China town. I liked that they still had a lot of food even later in the afternoon but overall very mid. Service was efficient though and the packaging for take out was good.

Not worth waiting In line. Wayyy better places. A long line dose not actually mean it's good. The best things from here was the Sesame ball with red bean paste as well as the donut with red bean paste. Both were large and had a ton of filling. The "Famous " baked bbq pork buns were meh. Don't be fooled by lines.

One of my favorite places to stop by for breakfast anytime I'm in San Francisco! No frills place with good prices and quality food. This visit was on a Monday and there was no wait. I got some garlic chive noodles, siu mai, shrimp dumplings and radish cake. All were amazing as expected, the dumplings were huge and the garlic chives in the noodles gave a nice mild garlicky flavor. I also recommend the rice porridge with pork and century egg if you want something warm and filling on a cold morning. Prices are amazing, try not to be tempted to buy more than you can eat (or just keep it for leftovers hehehe). No seating, so I recommend taking a short walk to Washington Square to grab an empty seat at a bench and people watch!

Stopped by to pick up some dim sum with a friend. One recommendation is to eat nearby (or close) because the food will get cold within a 10 minute ride home. Also...Note: Make sure to bring cash! The dried shrimp rice noodles with cilantro was long, and fairly cold :( These had potential if warm, especially with their soy sauce. They tend to sell these in threes uncut, which is quite a bit for two! Their har gow, siu mai, sticky rice, and chicken feet were the standard of delicious - again if warmer would have been better. Their chiu chow dumplings were also tasty with a thick skin and fresh ingredients. One of them fell apart, though.

Unpopular opinion: Overrated. The har gow wrapping texture was great but shrimp filling lackluster. The steamed bun was just okay... I've definitely had better. Same for the turnip cake. Stood in line for 20 minutes on a Saturday morning, and I just don't think it was worth the hype.
