Golden Gate

If you can believe it, this place delivers--or used to deliver--all the way to the Panhandle. That's nuts! The first time I ordered delivery from here, I had no idea how far away it was and was frustrated by how long it took, but then I looked it up, and I no longer hold that against them.I've only had Indian food from here; I haven't tried the pizza. I would say the food is middling and a tad on the greasy side. I think I've tried all of the vegetarian dishes, and the saag paneer is the only one that is consistently better than average. The naan is good too, but I feel like you have to be a particularly bad Indian restaurant to screw up naan.Remember when the building was yellow? That's how I'll always picture it. It was a landmark to me long before I ever actually ordered from the restaurant, and it wasn't until a couple of years after that first delivery order that I realized it was the yellow place on Judah with the Golden Gate Bridge on its sign.I can't even imagine what it looks like inside. I would come here more often if I lived close by, but it's not any kind of dining destination.

Great place for dine in and take out, me personally love the tandoori chicken well as the lamb rogan gosh, it's yummy totally recommend it!

Chef recommended this plate and I must say super flavorful and not too expensive! They have so many options on their menu, looked to be family owned which I love!! There are a lot of restaurants on judah but this one is one you go to when you don't want to sit down and spend close to $50 bucks for lunch for one person... Take your food and go to the beach !!

Got sick. I order fish tandoori all the time at Indian restaurants and i am pretty easy to please. But this fish was off at first bite. I tried to eat a couple more bites thinking maybe I was wrong... but nope, definitely tasted wrong. Somehow your body just knows if something is rancid. Body magic. So I was bummed and I just ate the aloo gobi instead, which was fine. The Diet Pepsi was flat and weird. When my boyfriend went to pay he mentioned that the fish was bad. They just shrugged and am charged him for it anyway. Not the best service but ok.... We never haggle over stuff like that, but usually if something is so bad you can't eat it, I'd think the restaurant would at least not charge you. Anyway, two blocks away from the restaurant I thought I was going to puke into someone's yard, and that has never happened to me before! Maybe their pizzas are good but skip anything meat or fish just in case. It is probably fine for late night pizza munchies, but dismal inside for a sunny afternoon date. Dark inside with violent YouTube music videos playing on a tv and a dirty bathroom. Not the happiest vibe. I should have read reviews first or "read the room" and noticed that everyone eating on that street was at different restaurants. Everywhere else had lots of people and this restaurant had no one inside.

I will admit I never dined inside we only get delivery, it used to be better and I think that their Indian pizza is still good,but I'm honestly not gonna risk it by ordering again.The Naan was very hard,flat and chewy The chicken tikka sauce was watery and tasted more like tomato than any spicesThey are very speedy with delivery and pickup but maybe that it because what they prepare for take out is not as good . I live in this area and I hope it gets better

There were small cockroaches everywhere in the men's bathroom. Food was ok, but I felt like vomiting after using the restroom .

This is a hella disgusting food, the service is terrible, the workers looked at us and didn't take their eyes off us, while they looked at us they seemed upset because they didn't understand what we were telling them in English, it seemed like it was, because in the end they had to call someone who did speak fluent English, when he gave us the pizza it seemed like they had thrown it on the floor on purpose, because when we got home with the pizza and he opened it. It looked as if he had been thrown to the ground.I don't recommend that place at all, they should even close it for treating people like that, we still feed them and they do that kind of thing. This is a shit I pay almost $50 just for a pizza trash absolutely this is hella nasty

Delicious! We stuck to the Indian dishes. All were bomb.com. I'm sure the pizza is tight too.
