Braised pork sandwich is SO GOOD & exactly what I've been chasing after -- we were delighted with the sweet potato included. It looks small, but is a hefty portion. That spicy sauce is no joke either, for those of you chasing the spiciest hot sauces! Chorizo sandwich was kind of a letdown though -- just sausage on bread with mayo and mustard. It would have been nice to have some sauce like a chimichurri or such, otherwise it's a bit plain. Gery was out of a couple items & even closed on a day (Tuesday) they were supposed to be open, so it's best to call first.

Delicious! I stopped by Gery's this afternoon while driving through the neighborhood. I was craving a sandwich, saw that these were Peruvian sandwiches and had to stop. I unfortunately stopped by right before they closed and they were pretty much sold out of everything. BUT The owner super sweet, offered me the chicken sandwich and the last veggie empanada. I was going to come back another time but I decided to take her up on it. It did not disappoint. The veggie empanada, so good! Very flavorful and probably the BEST puff pastry I've had in SF. The pastry is sweet, soft, and dense and just the right amount to balance the grilled veggies inside. I usually don't get veggie empanadas I go for chicken or beef but I loved these. I'll be back to try all of them. The chicken sandwich is the perfect size, tasty and on a freshly baked roll, it also has these little string crispy potato like things (?) that added crunch to the sandwich which I loved. It's a cold sandwich and great for a warm day. I also tried the chicha morada and loved it! Sweet but not too sweet and not over powering with the cinnamon. It's one of my all time favorite drinks. I will definitely be back try more. I should have come earlier in the day, however I'm glad I didn't leave and tried some of the items on the menu. It's a cute, quant, deli that fits just a few. But loved the vibe, owner and the staff, so kind and friendly. It's only been open for 6 weeks, you have to try this place out! Also did I mention great prices?! :)

A delicious bakery/Peruvian food cafe just opened in the Inner Richmond. It's on a not very high traffic 6th Ave between California and Clement. If you are like me and need to visualize by other restaurants or landmarks, it's located across the street from Mandalay and where Not Latte /Ha Tea used to be.It's more of a store front with maybe a small table with 2 chairs outside. The baker/owner is a very lovely and gracious woman. We visited for the first time yesterday and enjoyed some delicious anise bread. We also enjoyed the braised pork sandwich. Slightly dry pork but with the accompanying hot sauce, it was delicious! Also the decaf latte was yummy. She mentioned that on weekends, she will start offering Peruvian food, not just Sandos, so we can't wait to come back to try some new things.

I had just missed my bus and so I had 15 minutes to wait until the next bus and I was super hungry. I just looked up spots that were super close to me and found this café. I walked over and the closed sign was on the front door, even though I still had about six minutes until they officially closed. The woman inside, came out and opened the door for me and allowed me to come in to make a quick purchase, that was really nice of her. They only had chicken empanadas left so I bought one. The empanada was one of the best I've tried in the city. Thought it was better than all the popular ones in the ferry building. It was so flaky and the filling inside was so flavorful. It was like a salsa picante chicken that was inside and it was just really good. It also tasted pretty authentic. I would definitely go back here. I'm so glad I randomly came across this place and also it just opened like four months ago so it's super new. I don't think a lot of people know about it, it's a very tiny shop. You can't really sit inside. You kind of just go inside to get something and leave. Will definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

We had the Lomo sandwiches, which were very small, especially for $12. Flavor was okay, but cannot match the Lomo sandwiches from Fresca, which cost only a few dollars more. There wasn't much meat in the sandwiches, but there were lots of cooked onions. Sandwiches this small should only cost $7-8. They keep raising their prices in the last few weeks. They need to lower their prices or make the sandwiches larger. The Alfajores cookies were very good, with the buttery cookies and thick dulce de leche filling. I would come back for the cookies, but skip the sandwiches. We were very excited to try a new Peruvian cafe/bakery, but were very disappointed with the pricing and the size/taste of the sandwiches. We wish them good luck for their future and hope they listen to their customers.

Best tamales I've had in a long time! A very cute and tiny neighborhood gem with delicious options and friendly service. Geraldine was so kind and personable and offered to warm up my tamale. I just wolfed down that tamale now--it was packed with flavor and blew me away! Can't wait to eat the chicken one too...I'm so lucky to live nearby this place and I will definitely be back!

I went in for the lomo but was told they were out of chicken and beef. I was offered the veggie empanada. I've had their veggie empanadas before and they are not usually pre bagged. So, in the past, I could tell that they were flaky and crispy. This visit, the veggie empanadas seemed under baked. I bought two at more than $7 a piece but couldn't finish the two of them because the dough was too soft and unpleasant. The price has been a little inflated but I didn't mind because of the hand-made Peruvian delights from this cozy little shop. This time, the quality for the price was truly disappointing. And that makes me sad!

Had a lovely experience here at this tiny Peruvian sandwich shop. There's very very little seating, just FYI! Pan con chicharron was delicious, not too heavy and the pork was perfectly cooked, not oily. The bread on the sandwich really stood out to me...incredibly fresh, light, and crispy. The house made hot sauce was very spicy and delicious as well. Service was lovely!! Quick, friendly, thoughtful (Gery asked if I wanted onions on my sandwich since I hadn't clarified when ordering). Definitely plan to come back and try other sandwiches, tamales, and the desserts including the alfajores and passion fruit cheesecake.Wishing Gery's much success here for many, many years to come!
