Whoever hired Nessa needs to get a gold star. She is soooo vibrant and her laugh fills up the room and she made my experience here amazing! I will definitely be returning as a newfound regular, Also the fries here are pretty good. Ps. The hot sauce challenge isn't for the weak, just trust me.

I title this one - change the flippin' oil!Hit n' miss recently with Foghorn. Sometimes I really like it, but tonight not so much. -- fried chicken (sandwiches and tenders) were dry-- fried chicken tased like fish -- sauces were missing the sauce factor and heat at level Medium.

I so want to love this place. I absolutely love wings and I have a high tolerance for mediocre. Why does this place irritate me so much? I've now gone probably five times, each time trying different version. None have been all that great. Some have been downright boring. The only ones that were good were the Korean ones. but every other mean flavor I tasted was pretty bland. The wings aren't crispy and while I appreciate you can specify the level of heat with a five point range, other than the heat, there's very little flavor.Sorry, I wanna like this place and I keep trying to, but it's just not working.Part of why I want to like it is everybody who works there, the ambience, the feel of it is awesome. This is a small chain they make it feel like a real neighborhood spot. I just deeply appreciate that. Will I return to it? Probably not on my own.

TLDR: I'm not a fan of wings. Sue me. This is a review for beer selection, sauces, and... salad (lol)My boyfriend is a big fan of Fog Horn, so we'll undoubtedly be back soon enough, and I'll be completely satisfied to get a chicky tendy while he digs in to his wings.Longer:We've been here more times than I've checked in / I can count. I don't mind, but it certainly is never my choice. That being said, I can always find something on the menu, and I know my bf is always happy with the wings, so I'll never deny him that joy.Sometimes we'll share a beer and watch whatever sports ball game is oh the TVs while waiting for our to-go order, or we'll eat there if it isn't too loud/crowded, which happens on occasion. You order at the register and then grab a number + table to wait. Food comes out quickly-ish, again -- depends how crowded it is. Bring your patience (:My order:- a single chicken tender (they're huge :P) with lemon pepper and/or garlic parmand/or- a saladDon't expect much from the salad, but it's better than nothing + I'm not a big pepper fan, but this is way more lemon than pepper, so it passes my taste test!My boyfriend gets his wings, usually two different (hot af) sauces. As far as ambiance goes, this is not a hole in the wall, but by noooo means is it anything more than a fast-casual pub. If you love wings, you shouldn't be disappointed eating here!

Ordered the loaded Nashville fries, hot, to go via door dash and they were delicious. All in all I wish the chicken and fries were a little crispier, maybe the sauce should've been on the side but it was great and just what I wanted. Will come back and order some more!

This was definitely the most surprisingly delicious meal I had while in San Francisco. When some friends of ours recommended we go for wings at a place close to their condo, I was a little less than enthused. Don't get me wrong, I love wings, but where I'm from, there is an over-abundance of great chicken in all forms, and it wasn't necessarily what I wanted while in San Francisco. Or so I thought...Walking into the Foghorn Taproom, it's clearly a smaller neighborhood sports bar with a bit of fusion influence on the typical wing joint. The bevy of wing flavors, some unique menu choices, and much more on offer than just fried things surprised me. My friend and I decided to get a variety of 5 piece bone in wings in 5 flavors, and a large order of their brussel sprouts. Before I get into the food and flavor, this was definitely the most reasonable priced meal of my San Fran stay. Somewhat expected, being a neighborhood place. Wings were just a couple bucks more than what I was used to paying. I'd also say, the wings were large and juicy, as was the brussel sprouts order. Enough in there for 4 people definitely. The brussel sprouts, besides being generous, were perfectly done. Not overly oily, bit of char, sweetness, crisp, but done to the right level. They were impressive. The wings... WOW! Like I said before, large, juicy, bit of crisp on the skin, just the level of doneness you hope for across all the flavors. As far as the flavors go, there certainly was not a bad one, but the Korean flavor absolutely stood alone as the "I would put this sauce on everything" favorite. It was spicy yet tangy, I would guess tamarind is in it, the wings were all generously sauced without swimming in it. The other flavors we had, in order of yum: Hot Honey Crunch, Buffalo, Mango Habanero, Garlic Parm. All I would order again. Also, I kind of like that you order at the counter and don't have to bother with a waiter. In general, I quite enjoyed this experience, and could see why this would be a neighborhood favorite. The chicken is southerner approved, and definitely won me over!

I've been going to Foghorn for several years now, and they always have great chicken sandwiches, excellent tenders and wings, great crispy fries, and a solid selection of beers on tap! The Nashville hot wings and sandwich are exceptional. The quality is consistently high, and the atmosphere is great for sports and for drinks after work. Also the bartender they have currently, Becky, is legitimately one of the hardest working, thorough, and most cheerful people I've ever seen! She consistently on her own initiative goes well above and beyond in cleaning and taking care of the store and hustling to get customers anything they need. She's always cleaning the corners of the bar, cleaning underneath the bar mats, filling condiments and organizing everything whenever she has free moments. Foghorn is lucky to have such an excellent team member!

The chicken was juicy, slaw was light and creamy, everything you could want. I loved my fries, i got an extra tender because i didn't think i'd have enough protein but was i proven wrong. They do not skimp on the chicken here. The chicken sandwich had the perfect amount of heat and they do it so well, I was surprised honestly because sometimes you aren't expecting that much but they flavored it all very well. I think it's the perfect place to stop before or after your day in ggp, super close to DeYoung and California Academy.

Small, somewhat quiet (at least on a non football and non Olympic Sunday) beer joint in the Richmond. Stopped by on Sunday with my husband and while I'm excited to try the chicken we did not this time. Grabbed a beer and chilled for a bit then left. Love the tv set up and the food choices as well as the beer of course. It's a little small so I'm not sure if it makes a good place for game day but solid place to grab a beer.
