I was looking for something different for lunch and decided to wander a little further from the office than usual, and ended up in front of Focaccia Market & Bakery. The place is very spacious. On the right side, there is the refrigerator with all the drinks. On the left, there are the salads and pastries. Straight ahead, as you walk in, you'll find the hot meal counter where burgers, signature plates, and bowls are served. I walked around a bit and settled on Salmon Teriyaki under Focaccia Signature Bowls. The bowl came with rice and vegetables and a nice piece of salmon on the top. I liked everything, including the teriyaki sauce, which was very balanced. Not bad for $17!The servers were very friendly. I spoke with a couple of them, and they were very helpful in answering my questions. We even cracked a joke or two for a laugh. The dining space is nice and can accommodate small groups easily if you move a table or two around. They are about a ten-minute walk from my office, but I will likely visit again.

Focaccia used to be really busy. This is my first time back since 2020. I used to work right across the street at EC3 for 10+ years and now I'm on Battery St. Today at 12:30pm, there was only one person in line for the salad line and one other person on the hot food line. No one was in line for the sandwiches. It was pretty sad to see the employees out number the customers. I had good memories of Focaccia's food but not the service. Service was excellent today however. My focaccia burger tasted OK. It was a 1/2 pound patty burger, cheese, bacon & fries $16. It was solid. I'm going to try to come here more as I'm supposed to be in the office 3x a week.

My company ordered lunch today and it just wasn't very good. The burger states 1/2lb. It definitely was not that big. The fries were not good and tasted old. Roasted Chicken was terribly dry. They got the sides wrong on one order.I requested no cutlery, we got cutleryThe staff was friendly when I picked up and the place was clean.

For some reason, this location was not on Yelp. Very happy they got this sorted out quickly as I just reported it yesterday. It's an awesome spot to grab food and go. Have gone two Tuesdays in a row (I visit my 87 yr old mom on Tuesdays). Have had a roast chicken sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich. Also got cream of mushroom soup and blueberry and raisin scones. Everything has been so delicious. Staff is great and service is quick. I'm happy Yelpers will find this place again.

I've been working in FiDi for over a year now and just discovered Focaccia. I wish I had been here sooner. I had been getting salads from Mixt but much prefer the folks here and the prices of their salads. In terms of servings, a small salad is very filling and their ingredients are fresh. I also like the option to get a sandwich and their ready made parfaits. Another spot that gets busy during the rush so come early or later in the afternoon. Pros: Delicious and filling saladsCons: NoneBottom line: Best salad in FiDi IMO

I found what appears to be an entire avocado pit in my salad. One of many mediocre lunch destinations in the Embarcadero area. Salads are decently fresh and edible - I do like the caramelized pears as one of the topping options.

My company ordered from Focaccia Market & Bakery for our weekly catered office lunch. It was Friday, February 19th and everyone got something from the boxed lunch section.Hot sandwich box: served on hot fresh baked bread with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and condiments on the side*Roasted turkey box: pesto mayonnaise on wheat bread instead of rustic bread, no swiss cheese, add Fresh mozzarella & basil*Mini caesar salad: romaine lettuce, house-made croutons, cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and caesar dressing*Cookies: Oatmeal raisinLast time we ordered from a Focaccia Bakery, I got a salad. This time, I thought I'd try a sandwich. The turkey sandwich was good. Thick slices of roasted turkey. I love mozzarella and basil, so I thought it'd be a good addition. I found myself wishing my sandwich was heated more so the cheese was hot and melty. I didn't care for the wheat bread as it was too soft and light. I more of a fan of chewier breads. I ended up eating the insides of the second half of my sandwich and leaving the bread behind. The caesar salad was delicious as was the oatmeal cookie.I think I like Focaccia more for their salads. I remember the salad being satisfying and a hefty portion. Part of a good sandwich is the bread. In the end, I'm just not a fan of Focaccia's wheat bread. Maybe I should have gotten it on their namesake bread instead?

Offering pre-made salads and sandwiches, you can also get custom made ones with a range of ingredients. There's also a hot food option that cycles through a range of things over the week. The variation is great for vegetarians, I actually felt really overwhelmed with indecision and it took me a bit to figure out what I wanted. I finally settled on a half sandwich, which I customized and my friend picked out a fresh custom made salad. The price isn't too bad but I did find it a bit typical for the fancy sandwich/salad places in the fidi these days (ie, a bit on the higher side). My sandwich was pretty good though and the toppings weren't the type you'd find at your standard boring places (sundried tomatoes and goat cheese? yesplease!)This location isn't far from my office and there's a few different and interesting things I'd love to try so I'll be swinging by here again.

It was probably a confluence of events but Focaccia Market & Bakery played a big role in really turning me on to salads years ago. That low fat raspberry dressing is like crack and I love it! Sweet and savory, pair it with some spinach and arugula plus fixings of fancy for the day and it's a yummy salad for lunch. What I love about this location however is the grill next door. Had a grilled basa over fresh salad and it was delicious. Nice char on the fish but still moist and flavorful. Also in the cooked foods section there's the always reliable roast chicken and sides plus daily specials. Favorites over time include the tri-tip and fried fish. Love the side dished too. I can honestly make a meal out of some mac and cheese, grilled vegetables, and spinach. Lines are insane during lunch and they snake around the store but I think it's worth it. This isn't the closest Focaccia to me anymore but this is probably my favorite location despite the longer wait. Regardless of location though, the raspberry dressing keeps me coming back for more.
