Flipper’s Gourmet Burgers

Was craving a classic burger,fries,shake moment after attending a concert and remembered driving past this place before. Came around 11 pm on a Wednesday night and we were the only ones there. You order at a kiosk so no human interaction is needed. We ordered the flipper combo which can be found in the "specials" section and a vanilla milkshake. After ordering, it took somewhat a while for us to get our food (15 min), considering it was only us and there didn't seem to be any pick up orders. The door was also left open, which caused the place to be pretty cold, especially since it was late at night. Burger and fries were a solid 4, I really liked the extra toasted (bordering crispy) bun. Fries were on the skinny side, they are quite salted so keep that in mind. Milkshake was maybe the worst vanilla shake I've ever had -- It tasted like watered down vanilla milk, mixed with ice. Overall, it was okay, probably would rather try another spot out instead of coming again.

Food - ordered a flipper burger! it comes with a lightly toasted bun, some white spread (mayo maybe?), lettuce and pickles on the side. The meat was super tender and juicy and the burger itself was HUGE! I was pretty hungry, so I finished the entire thing, but my friend only ate about half of hers.Service - super quick and fast. Ordered at the front, sat for about less than 10 minutes or so and the food was ready!Ambiance - super nice, comfortable and clean environment. Very quite too. If you're ever in the Nob Hill area, definitely recommend checking out this place. Their menu has a variety of options too!

We have been wanting to try this place for a very long time and we finally did last night and it was perfect we got the mushroom swiss burger added bacon and let me tell you it was perfectly seasoned the bun was nice and toasty and the burger was just amazing one of the best burgers we had in a very long time we always come in to San Francisco to drop my niece off at college and father in law doctors appointments and we will be coming here every time thank you

I tried to give this place a second chance, but it was awful again. Everything was just as cold as Antarctica. The shell of the bun was falling off. The turkey was stiff and I just decided to give up on eating it. I tried to speak to the manager/employee, but he was rude and he hung up on me.

My go to spot for a cheeseburger & fries in the neighborhood. They are open late. Good food and service.

I was in the area and need a quick snack, I ordered the jalapeño poppers via phone order. The ambiance was nice and clean, I was not greeted when I walked in, I had to actually get the guys attention. You cannot pay at the counter you must pay at the station so if you complete a phone order when you come inside you have to repeat that order on the paying machine and no the guys were not any help with letting customers know that. I waited about 3 mins, the poppers were average definitely store bought frozen. 5 out of 10

I got the flipper burger with cheddar cheese and a side of fries. My partner got the Chicago dog. This place had the best burger of my trip. Better than pier 39. This place was recommended by a hotel staff member and it was a great recommendation. If you haven't been then you should go. The food was hot and fresh.

Completely earns their use of "gourmet". Absolutely delicious, and shockingly cheap for how big the burger and side portions are.Perfect post-concert bite.

please do not order any vegan meals from here. i've ordered a vegan burger from them twice, first time in November and again yesterday which was my biggest regret! i got food poisoning BOTH TIMES!!! the second time was much worse and i ended up in the hospital. the first time my friend and i both got food poisoning. this time i have been throwing up for 6 hours! i contacted the establishment and they were very rude about it and basically said they don't know what's wrong with me it's not their fault after i asked them how do they store their impossible meat. they also implied that the delivery driver may have been at fault but the bag was stapled and not tampered with. i'm not sure what they have going on in that kitchen but if you are a vegan thinking of ordering from here DONT. they are not sanitary

Ordered a Flipper burger added sautéed onions it was amazing a good portion of fries were given with order. Food was cooked to order just perfection! Regret not taking a picture as it was picture perfect. Service was great and the ambiance was peaceful.
