We were wandering around this area doing a self-guided tour related to Dashell Hammett (who lived in SF for 8 years) and realized it was lunch time. Boy, were we lucky to find this place.Chicken Shawarma Rice Bowl: 5/5. I have been to dozens of mediterranean restaurants and this is the first one in a LONG time where I have said to myself "damn, this chicken is GOOD!" All of the ingredients were fresh.You know a place is good when as you leave you are already thinking of coming back.And the service is awesome. We were here on Dec 22, and the guy behind the counter was incredibly nice and friendly.

Dope little place, just large enough to push out amazing food. Legit 1 dude running most of the food, maybe a dude in the back. Place has such a comforting vibe! I got the falafel and chicken shawarma wraps and got damn they were fire. Fresh af!Parking is street parking, no bathroom.

Really thankful that they opened on new years and kept regular hours.The chicken rice bowl was tasty, filling, and fairly priced. Food was very fresh too. Good spot!

I keep it simple at the Mediterranean places. Give me a wrap or gryo. I'm down to try something else at some point but I don't know, it hasn't happened yet. Don't give me a hard time okay? Also the menu at this place is pretty simple which is nice. Fanoos is a solid little spot. You would never say it's better. But I got some notes.The price isn't worth the wimpy little wrap they give you. That was disappointing. There was literally no one waiting besides me and it took way too long so that was concerning. The people there are really nice though. And MOST importantly, the taste was quality. Next time I'll try the chicken. I'm not going to call it a gem but it's not bad at all. Give it a chance.(4.0 Stars)

Stopped by here on my trip to san francisco!Food - food was good! lasted for two meals but i am a smaller girl so maybe for others it would last 1 1/2 meals! i enjoyed the shawarma bowl, the chicken was great and all sides we're good. my only tip would be allowing people to sub which sauce they get with the order as i wasn't able to substitute the spicy sauce for something like hummus. (i just requested it on the side!)my friend got the kabob wrap and said it was extremely good! some other reviews made the wrap look huge so just be aware that it's average sized service - i ordered through yelp and food was ready on time! both men who we're working at the time we're nice and speedy, packed our food and we were satisfied!!!ambiance - it's a super small place with just one window sill seating , so definitely more of a grab and go stop rather than a sit down restaurant. but it was extremely clean and the decor was cute!! recommend!!

I love restaurants that keep a small simple menu. That means they can concentrate on making those items well. Customer service was excellent. Service was quick. My order was made correctly. And the best thing was the taste. Few high quality ingredients put together. Both type of meats we had were moist and flavorful. The falafel was crisp outside and soft inside. The sauces are great too.

Stopped in for the first time. Came in and was greeted. Could not decide between chicken and beef so the guys that was there made me a small sample of the chicken and there it was. The chicken was it. Took it home to go although there is a small space to eat inside and people watch. The bowl was put together nicely and the food hit the spot. Will visit again to try the beef next time.

This place is very clean and perfect for a quick bite, with excellent customer service. It's conveniently close to Union Square and many great hotels nearby. If you're in town and looking for something quick yet healthier than typical fast food, consider stopping by here.

Great spot for a quick lunch, perfect for grab and go. I got the chicken shawarma salad and it was delicious! Juicy, well seasoned, fresh. Usually I found it hard to find a decent place to grab a bite near union square- but so glad this place popped up! Would stop by if I'm in the area.

Absolutely amazing, delicious food and reasonably priced! I highly recommended this spot if you're looking for something reliable.
