Came by for dinner the other night and it was a world class experience. Evvia is my favorite in Palo Alto. My buddy made a reservation via OpenTable and our table was ready upon arrival. Dining is available indoors or on the heated patio outdoors. Meal started off with some complimentary Acme Bread sourdough and olive oil which was tasty. Service here is usually decent although our main waiter for the evening was a touch different. Started off with the zucchini cakes and flatbread as apps and they were tasty. The zucchini cakes were served in a pair, decent sized, super fresh, and lightly fried. This was served with a side of yogurt.Moved on to the flatbread which was a tasty app with plenty of vegetables. For the main entree, opted for a half order of lamb chops medium rare. The lamb chops were super flavorful, tender, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. It was also served with a couple pieces of fried potatoes. Excellent.Finished off the dinner by splitting their famous dessert made with phyllo dough with a warm vanilla custard in the middle served along with a small scoop of pistacchio ice cream.~$80/head after tax and gratuity for dinner.

Best Greek dining experience for us outside of Greece. The Lamb Moussaka had Indian garam masala type spices and the fresh fish (petrale sole) was insanely good, fried crisp on the outside and tender with Mediterranean spices on the inside. For the appetizer, special mention goes to the smelt fry and for dessert, the phyllo dough with semolina custard. Everything was cooked to perfection, the waiter was awesome and actually helped to calm our 3 year old down so we could enjoy a good anniversary meal. The ambience was spectacular, wide open spaces with skylights and a rustic Athenian vibe with pots and pans. The warmth of the staff was very European, and felt as authentic as mainland Greek food. Although its upscale, would urge everyone to give it a try!

The meal started with some delicious sourdough bread. Nice tang and chewiness/bounce. The beans came out piping hot. It was a pretty rich dish considering it was beans. Nice notes of pesto and cheese. For the fish, the lemon slice came in a little mesh bag which I've never seen before but is a nice touch to keep the seeds from popping out. The pan-fried sole had a nice crisp crust and came with a generous heap of sauteed chard. The fish is pretty large, you may not really need anything besides that and the bread.

This place was awesome. Came here for a family celebration. Place isn't too big indoors. If it was a huge family gathering, not sure if they would be able to accommodate everyone sitting at the same table together. But they do have outdoor seating available. The ambiance was nice, very classy but not formal. Staff was friendly and funny. They were very attentive. The food was delicious. Lots of flavor. Just like any fine dining, prices were on the higher end. But the entrees were big so the price was well worth it. They had a good selection of appetizers and desserts. Desserts were definitely worth trying. Some of the appetizers i would say didn't quite match the value and flavor of the rest of the food items. I'd definitely come back again.

Loved the lamb chop medium rare, best branzino and arugula salad with candied walnuts and oranges! Moussaka have a strong nutmeg/cinnamon and I prefer their other restaurants Kokkari better. Will def try the octopus next time and their dessert

Our dining experience at Evvia was such a dream! Service is amazing and the food is top tier. They also have the most gorgeous dining space with an open kitchen featuring a massive wood fire grill. The produce is so fresh and I loved the high quality olive oil in a lot of their dishes. For appetizers I would highly recommend the mushrooms, octopus, and giant beans and for entrees the ribeye and branzino are amazing! I was also impressed with their wine list-- if you're looking to try some Greek wines, the Assyrtiko and Xinomavro are light and refreshing!

We visited Evvia Estiatorio on a Friday evening and had an overall good experience. Knowing how quickly it gets busy, we made reservations in advance, which I highly recommend. For starters, we ordered the Manitaria tou Fournou and Octapodaki tou Yiorgou, both of which were absolutely delicious. For our main course, we went with the moussaka and grilled lamb chops, and they did not disappoint. Lamb chops were perfectly cooked. The only downside to our evening was a mix-up with our appetizers. They brought the wrong dish, and while they corrected it and eventually served the right one, it took a lot and we waited a long time for our appetizer. This led to rushed dining experience for us, as the time between finishing the appetizers and receiving the main courses was practically nonexistent. Despite this hiccup, the food was very good, and the staff were polite.

The wait staff was attentive, and the food was good but perhaps a little underwhelming. I know, it's in Palo Alto, it's going to be pricey, but it just didn't have enough variety. The moussaka was decent, about as expected, but the lamb shank really did not impress. The menu mentioned that it was cooked with vegetables, but why were these deliciously tender vegetables absent from the dish? It was just lamb and rice, it would've been a lot better with more flavors and variety. The lamb itself was fall of the bone tender, but it was just so monotonous. It was decent, but I'm definitely still looking for my favorite greek spot outside of Greece!
