This is probably my favorite find of the year. They have some kind of arrangement with "breakfast little" in the mission cause it's basically the same menu. I'm going to guess it's in the same family. If you know of breakfast little then you know this place is amazing. I've only had their burritos and they're all fantastic. I think the Tia Mia is my favorite but the OG and all the others are solid. I found this place by accident. It's a surprising little café at the bottom of the Kaiser building. It's basic and clean inside, never really busy as far as I can tell. The staff are totally friendly, efficient, and solid.

Located on the ground floor of Kaiser on Geary, Emmita's is the place to go for a quick pre- or post-doctor's-visit treat. 5/5 for convenience and location, especially if you frequent UCSF or Kaiser, and 3.5/5 for food. They're known for their breakfast burritos so definitely give them a try. I got their Zeus burrito (red pepper, spinach, scrambled eggs, Greek yogurt, hash browns, wrapped in a flour tortilla) and I was happy to see it was made to order. Literally had to hold the burrito with napkins wrapped around the foil and had to quietly blow on the burrito because it came straight off the pan and was so hot. Absolutely zero complaints about freshness. I wish the burritos, or at least the Zeus burrito I got, were more seasoned. It was good, albeit plain. There was maybe only a little bit of salt to season the eggs and perhaps 2 tablespoons max of Greek yogurt. I would have loved to see more spices (paprika, garlic?) and more Greek yogurt. They also didn't have any spinach but they were happy to sub for more eggs. They were also out of Cholula :( More seasoning + freshly stocked sauces would push food up to a 4/5. Emmita's has personality! They had some energetic Latin music playing when I visited (10am on a Wed morning) and there was a decent level of chatter among the patrons. Ambience and decor is pretty casual. Not a great place for large groups, however -- most of the tables are meant to seat 2; there is a single large table in the center of the cafe where customers are free to sit if they don't mind sitting next to strangers or sharing the table with other groups. There is some bar seating near the window but those seat maybe 4-5.

If you frequent Quest/UCSF (like myself, unfortunately), then you will have passed by Emmita's probably a million times. It's a good spot for a little treat after a doctor's visit, which is how I wound up here. The breakfast burrito is standard and solid. Sadly, extra garlic aioli costs extra, so we just added some sriracha. The sausage, hash browns, and (added) avocado make for a filling breakfast that's hard to be bad! It wasn't the best I've ever had, but definitely not bad at all. Service was fast and friendly, so it makes a good pit stop before or after your medical appointment. They also have smoothies, coffee, and juice that looks decent!

We the service here is just not good. I brought my own cup for a refillable coffee and they measured it using g a large cup and said I couldn't get it filled to the top I had to drink it and then ask for refill. I don't do half and half I do oat milk so I asked for some and they said next time they'll charge me and she poured for me and told me no more lol. I paid $9.99 for the first burrito but did nothing but egg and they didn't want to sub the hash brown the meat the aioli for avocado they charged me on the side and they said no ketchup since I got hit sauce. Horrible service the policies are the policies and while they have a right to keep them I am sharing this with you to make a conscious decision. Taste is fine I mean hard to mess up a burrito.

I really like this place. I stopped by here for breakfast burrito and ended up also getting one of their homemade vanilla iced lattes. both of them were really good too! I got the Zeus burrito which was exactly what I was looking for - I was craving a breakfast burrito but didn't want to feel too heavy and that's exactly what I fot with this order. The Greek yogurt wasn't overpowering and the veggies were great. Tortilla was soft and yummy too. The ladies that were working there were so kind and sweet to talk to. There's good seating areas for if you want to eat in too.

Emmita's is attached to the Kaiser Permanete building. Across the street is UCSF. Sorry to say, The place gave me the willies. Aesthetics 1 star. Strong smell of cleaning product by checkout. I think it's coming from the lobby. First thing inside the door is garbage receptacles on the left, sandwich assembly counter on the right. The almost empty refrigerated case sports 1 watermelon & a pile of oranges. Emmita's must do a rocking business at lunchtime, didn't see any other cafe nearby. The menu includes juices, take-out sandwiches, oatmeal & breakfast burritos.I ordered the avocado toast. Second cafe I've been to that said they didn't have any bread (?), but they did have wheat, sourdough or bagels. (??)I chose the sourdough. Pretty average store bought taste. I was disappointed that the bread was not toasted, I mean it's called Avocado Toast. I'll give that a pass, the avocado was good, perked up a bit with some chili oil. Definitely regret ordering a side of bacon. Four strips of limp, greasy, extra fatty gut bombs, went right through me, if you know what I mean.Im writing this to manage expectations. Emmita's is not destination dining, but from what I saw, popular with the local seniors, hospital workers & patients. From the other reviews i learned the owner is well liked & has loyal customers. Perhaps Emmita's is worth a second chance & updated review. That's my story. If you're nearby, in need of a sandwich... Support Local!

I ate here recently and had a mango chicken sandwich with a cinnamon roll. The sandwich was unique and tasty, and cinnamon roll was solid and not too sugary.

Lovely little restaurant located on the first floor of the Kaiser medical building at 1635 Divisidero. It gives me retro cafe vibes with soft music and gentle chatter. The food was provided in large quantity, fairly rapidly, and was incredibly tasty. Great bang for your buck if you're in the area. The only downside is the service. One of the ladies continues to be inpatient, non-responsive, and immense attitude when asking for little things such as extra sauce.Good spot, would certainly come again and update the rating as the service improves

The breakfast burrito is amazing. There are hash browns in the OG that I am absolutely obsessed with. The menu says it comes with your choice of meat but I usually ask to sub bell pepper instead and they are accommodating. The bagel breakfast sandwiches are also delicious! I'm not sure why they are so good but the bagel is very light and soft and all the other components are made fresh to order. There is indoor seating. It is devastating to me that they are not open on the weekends!

My mom gets recurring treatments at the UCSF thats connected to this cafe. She will always ask we get coffee and a bagel from here. It has its own personality; there is Hispanic music in the background and its quiet. The ladies working stay too themselves they don't ask questions about your day which I enjoy especially when we arrive early morning. im grateful its here to give my mom something to look forward to.
