I wish Hawaii had good juicy pork baos. When my brother introduced this place when my significant other and I were visiting the Bay Area, we went twice within the week. You can basically just order a juicy pork bao for yourself. Each other comes with 6. We also tried their pork xiao long bao, fresh cucumbers, steamed dumplings and ginger and onion noodles. Our favorite besides the juicy baos is the xiao long baos. It's big and there's lots of flavor. This place gets super busy during the rush hour time. I suggest you come either before it opens or later. Parking can be a little tricky so someone jump out and put your name down. When you arrive, you sign in on the screen through Yelp waitlist. You can walk around the neighborhood and when you see that your name is moving up the list, to come back to the restaurant. Dumpling Home is our go to everytime we're in the Bay Area.

My expectations were blown out of the water.Step aside, din tai fung and nan xiang. This is the premier xiaolongbao restaurant in America.Everything was fantastic, but here's a ranking of what we got:1. Numb and spicy pork xiaolongbao (flavor = fantastic, texture just okay)2. Dan Dan noodles (peanut paste galore)3. Juicy pork bao (great texture but heavy)4. Beef xiaolongbao (still good but nothing special)The demographics and the corny soup spoons did not impress me, but flavor is king!

San Francisco has no shortage of dumpling spots, but Dumpling Home truly stands out! Everything I tried was fantastic.Pork Xiao Long Bao - The skins were delicate yet held the rich, flavorful broth perfectly. Each bite was juicy and packed with flavor.Dan Dan Noodles - Easily one of the best I've ever had! The sauce was incredibly creamy, nutty, and deeply flavorful, coating the perfectly chewy noodles beautifully.Juicy Pork Pan-Fried Baos - These were delicious -- crispy and golden on the bottom while staying soft and fluffy on top, bursting with savory, juicy pork inside.Seasoned Beef Pockets - The bread had the perfect crisp exterior with a slightly chewy bite, while the beef was well-seasoned with a subtle sweetness that tied everything together.Service was also quick, as our food came out soon after ordering! With so many dumpling spots in SF, it can be hard to choose, but Dumpling Home is absolutely worth it. I'll definitely be back!

This is our second time coming here and it's as amazing as we remembered. We were in the area on a Wednesday night and decided to drop in before our heading to the theatre. We had to add ourselves to their yelp waitlist but luckily waited only around 10min before our table was ready. We ordered their numb & spicy xiao long bao, the juicy beef bao, and a hot & sour soup. The xiao long bao was delicious with a bit of a kick. This was not too spicy but the hot temperature of the soup did add to it. We tried the regular pork xiao long bao and preferred that one a bit more. However they were all great and the numb & spicy ones are a good choice to add for more variety. The juicy beef bao was nice and crisp. This was much hotter so beware of taking a bit bite. Definitely try to let it cool down a bit more. The soup was pretty standard for hot & sour and is great for the cold weather. Our experience here has always been great. The service is also pretty fast so we had enough time without having to rush to our show afterwards. I definitely recommend coming here for the tasty baos!

Continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco The service and ambiance are both great! My friends and I got here around 5:15pm on a weekend, and we were able to snag the last table indoors! We did discuss though that next time we'll try to come even earlier. The food is always so so so good! My favorites are definitely the pan fried pork bao, crab and pork xiao long bao, and pork dumplings in sesame sauce and chili oil! I think one underrated part of this restaurant is their amazing chili oil! Definitely a 10/10 restaurant !!!Overall, I love coming here, and will definitely be back!

I was very content with Dumpling Home. Had dinner with friends on a cold, rainy Monday night and these dumplings were like a warm hug for the tummy.I ordered the four piece steamed chicken xiao long bao and pan-fried juicy pork bao. My friends ordered the boiled shrimp, egg, chives, and mushroom dumplings as well as the crab & pork xiao long bao. They were hot and fresh, with a high potential for mess! Be careful because the broth sure likes to squirt out if you don't drain enough or bite into it wrong LOL. It happened to all three of us at separate points during the meal. The crunch of the pan-fried pork bao was a nice contrast to the juice inside. Loved the flavor! Chicken soup is classic too so the chicken xiao long bao was lovely, and four pieces are the perfect amount to accompany the other dumplings ordered. The place was busy when we arrived and we waited about ten minutes or so. The inside doesn't seem super big but thankfully we were able to sit there considering the weather. I'd return here for sure.

Came on a weekday night and it was packed. We got added to the waitlist but got seated within 15 minutes. I got the pork bao (5/5 - was so juicy and hot) and pig's ear (5/5 - had cucumbers and a bit spicy). The service was also so fast and they were so attentive as well! Would def come back!

We did not like the ginger green onion noodles. They were very plain and overpriced. The restaurant was also pretty loud and the water didn't taste very fresh. There weren't many exciting vegetarian options. I wish they had vegetarian pan fried dumplings. The service was kind and fast though. We got there 10 minutes before they opened and there were already other people waiting, so maybe they have other dishes that taste better.

Lines are LOOONG (though, they are on the Michelin Guide). I'd suggest coming around 15-20 minutes before they open - we did, and made it in the first group to dine in! We visited on a Saturday, and there was no Yelp Waitlist available at the time of the visit. They had a solid selection of dumplings. Their soup dumplings and juicy pork bao were amazing! The fresh cucumber w/ garlic sauce also took me by surprise. We were all addicted to this, and scarfed the cucumbers down as soon as they came out lol. The green onion pancake wasn't anything special (and tbh, was a bit pricy for the portion), but still hit the spot.We were seated outside since the indoor dining area filled up pretty quickly and we had a larger group. The only small hiccup was that it took quite a while to order our food, receive it, and generally find people to flag down whenever we needed help. It could've been because we were seated outside vs. indoors, but it felt like most of our visit was just waiting.
