Roasted pork banh mi. Soggy and salty. I probably won't order it again.

Tucked away on Folsom, DragonEats is one of those places that is easy to miss, but that you'll be sad you did! (8.4/10)Taste: 9.2/10 I ordered the Tofu Banh Mi. The tofu is filling and flavorful, the latter of which is rare. Whoever prepares this really does their homework, as it has a very slight crisp on the outside but is almost "meaty" in texture without having that spongey taste that tofu so often does. The vegetables add a sweetness and a slight kick especially with the jalapeños. Finally, the bread is nice and crunchy. Customer Service: 8/10Luckily, this time there was no wait and I got to order within only a few minutes of arriving. The service was pleasant and the food came out within about 15 minutes. Appearance: 7/10The restaurant itself is really only meant for takeout. The doors are open and there is a counter right when you enter where you pay. There isn't a waiting area exactly so you end up standing outside after you order. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to of least have somewhere inside where you can wait on a particularly hot or cold day. The Bahn Mi itself was wrapped well and didn't look too different from others I've had. Value: 9.5/10My reasoning here is simple; I've never had as good a Banh Mi for the price. The sandwiches come stuffed with ingredients and almost always make me feel full. Additionally, there are only a handful of places I've been to here where you can get a real meal for under 13 dollars. Once you account for how good it is, I think it's truly a value meal!

I stopped by for some Banh Mi and ended up getting the Roasted Pork Banh mi. The banh mi was massive but given the price it makes sense it was so big. It was very tasty and I was certainly very full. I also ordered their lime soda which was tasty but certainly a tad too sweet for my liking. The service was solid, friendly and efficient. The chairs were all up so not sure if they usually have space for folks to sit but I walked to a nearby open space and enjoyed a nice lunch in the sun.

Loved DragonEats ever since coworkers introduced me at my first SF job. The ratio of meat to bread to pickled veggies is excellent . Get the 5 spice chicken!Since I've last visited, they've gone full takeout - no outdoor or indoor seating.Ordering is super quick but be prepared to mingle with others waiting outside for their orders- wait time isn't too bad at about ~30m.

So stoked to find an affordable lunch deal in sf! The spot has 10 dollar bahn mi sandwiches and 11 dollar vermicelli/salad bowls. I had the bowl with garlic butter chicken and it was tasty, well seasoned and with fresh veggies! Plenty of food also- I could barely finish it.

Don't sleep on DragonEats, their Roasted Pork Báhn Mì is FUEGO! Decided to hit up DragonEats for a quick bite to eat for lunch near my office. So glad I stumbled upon it because it's hella good. Seems pretty chill and lowkey and I believe they're takeout only, which is fine. The time between when I ordered and when I received my food was mere minutes. Honestly, there's too many options to eat from in SOMA, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't give DragonEats a try. I highly recommend and will be back again soon.

Small takeout only place, affordable, food is ready quickly, and tastes really good! The bowl looks small but the meat portion is generous! I got the pork bowl and it was flavorful and well balanced with savory and citrusy notes.

Healthy Asian choices in a cafe. It has a pretty simple menu to place an order. DragonEats has a few locations in San Francisco including this one on Gough. Pretty good choices for anything they have. There's mostly Vietnamese. A pretty good place to get lunch. It's a casual type of place. The sandwiches are wrapped in paper and you can then eat these in there. Has okay prices compared to the area. It's about $9 for a sandwich. Got the Teriyaki Tofu Banh Mi. This has a few slices of tofu with cilantro, cucumbers, fried shallots, jalapeños, mayonnaise which I left off, pate, pickled carrots and daikon, and soy sauce.Best place to get quick Asian food. It's not that authentic to be sure, but it's certainly not bad though. There's plenty of choices for meat eaters, vegetarians, or whoever.

Thanks to my fellow Yelpers for leading us here! What a great place for a delicious, inexpensive Vietnamese lunch! We came here intending to grab lunch to go and enjoy in the nearby Salesforce Park. Good thing that was our plan because there is currently no seating here. We placed our order with a cashier near the front door and didn't have to wait too long before it was ready. I had the Teriyaki Tofu Banh Mi sandwich and it was overflowing with fresh ingredients! Shredded carrots, cucumber, daikon, cilantro, jalapeño, and yummy tofu! The bread was perfectly crunchy, too! My husband ordered the Shrimp Fresh Rolls and asked for soy sauce. He loved it but wished he had their peanut sauce to go along with it, too. This place is understandably popular so you can expect a line but it moves pretty quickly. I wish we had one here in Reno!

Friend had recommended their roast duck banh mi but every time I walked by they had sold out of them, so today I called them in advance to check if they had any and placed a pick up order online. Roast duck banh mi - thinly shredded duck meat that is overpowered by the sweet orange sauce. Sadly no option on the side to reduce sweet sauce or place it on the side. Wish they had more stuffing inside, pretty barebones. Chicken avo rolls - the thinnest shredded chicken breast in these rolls (almost non existent - see pic). Taste was ok, nothing stood out - mostly some lettuce and noodles. Wouldn't pay $10 for these again.

Great lunch spot if your work in fidi! Prices are cheap and there's usually a line -- expect to wait 15ish minutes during lunch rush but the quality of ingredients seem fresh and the prices are pretty low!
