I ordered dinner yesterday, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Both the beef in the Uguge kalbi tang and porkfeet had a strong, unpleasant odor, as if the meat was old and spoiled. After just a few bites, we had to throw the entire meal away. To make matters worse, my boyfriend developed a rash shortly after eating. We won't be ordering from here again.

Pretty good! Not sure why there are some bad reviews on here, but this place satisfied my Korean food craving. Was greeted by a super nice Korean lady (I went to the new Korean pop up down the road and the lady there was super rude upon me entering and they only had like 6 customers! They also didn't have the dish I went there for so this place saved my day!); got the spicy squid stir fry. Cucumber banchan was on point, and she even gave me some super deliciously ripe persimmons at the end! Will be back to try out their yukgaejang next time!

Alright. For some odd reason, it's already hard to get good Korean food in San Francisco, so I was happy to see Dong Baek (, Camilla in Korean - a type of flower) nearby in the Tenderloin. The food at the restaurant is sometimes hit or miss, but I am reviewing the Bibimnaengmyeon (). It's delicious, succulent, and tasty. The noodles with the gochujang are a perfect combination of pickled radish, cucumber, and beef. The egg is also a nice little treat. I could've gotten double portions because it was really good. One star off because they don't give you enough side dishes (), which is usual at any Korean restaurant. The side dishes also taste a little old (especially the kimchi and broccoli), which has a foul taste (and I love kimchi). Skip the side dishes and stick with the meal itself. A little pricey, but you're not going to find anything better in the area.

The food is pretty bad here. I needed some comfort food so I ordered the dduk mandu guk (rice cakes and dumpling soup) and they somehow managed to screw that up. The broth was bland, rice cakes too soft and the dumplings were not tasty.I ordered their version of soft tofu soup and they used firm tofu chunks in lieu of actual soft tofu. It contained chopped up kimchi and no beef. I have a suspicion there was a non-Korean in the kitchen because this was way off. I would order elsewhere.

Their banchan is solid too. Some faves:Galbi jjim - beef stewDolsot bibim bbap - stonebowl mixed riceJapchae - glass noodles with veggies
