Dominic’s Food Truck

We had lunch here while attending the Winter Walk in Union Square this past Sunday. There were many tantalizing items available, it was hard to choose what to get. The menu here seems to change regularly, according to menu pics from different events shown online. But we were not disappointed with our items. The crab and shrimp sandwich was more like a grilled cheese stuffed with a tasty crab and shrimp mix and melted cheese as well as tomato and lettuce served on the side, and topped off the sandwich perfectly. The garlic fries were cooked nicely and so satisfying. My bf got the filet mignon with jack cheese and avocado, and said it was delicious, but the fries on the side were overcooked and a little too crispy. I ate a few but much preferred the garlic fries that came with my dish. Service was friendly, and there was no wait to order this past weekend at the event we were at in SF. The wait for our order was a bit longer, but not unreasonable.

Dominics does a thanksgiving meal for $35 per person. It includes turkey , prime rib, mashed potato's , salad, bread , horse radish , au jus , gravy , stuffing , cranberry sauce , butter and pumpkin tiramisu. Everything was tasty except for the pumpkin tiramisu which I thought was way too sweet They do curbside pick up on thanksgiving but please note the parking lot is very tiny , and parking is limited so go early. Otherwise it's convenient if you don't wish to do a full cookout for thanksgiving.

3 strikes and you're out!I keep wanting to give this place the benefit of the doubt because there are people who wait in line for this truck , but once again this was a disaster. First off, the crab salad was HORRIBLE. I threw it away because the crab was so unfresh and tasted like it had come from a cheap can from the 1920's.It was overly fishy and smelly and placed on top of wilted mixed greens. The cucumbers were also wilted and the miniature tomatoes were whole and not sliced. #Horrible Then I got the calamari that tasted worse that a cheap state fair. This was not fresh or even good calamari. It was a cheap Costco or Safeway like brand with no seasoning and not fully fried through. They also placed it on cold and not crispy fries.OMG, don't make the same mistake I did. 3 strikes and this food truck is beyond saving.

Happy the food trucks are back for Tanforan Tuesdays! It's been a long winter!Had a lovely gourmet meal--the special:Braised boneless short ribs, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. Ooh, the short ribs: so tender! The gravy is rich, comfort food yum. I don't usually get to have Thanksgiving-ish gravy like this, as I have a gluten sensitivity. This whole meal was gluten-free! And the staff was super friendly about it. No eye-rolls here!The potatoes were expertly mashed and buttery. The creamed spinach helped me get my greens. Nothing like being a busy mom and getting a comforting meal quickly on a Tuesday evening! Thanks, Dominic's!

Food poisoning shrimp and crab sandwich, TreasureFest Aug 25.My friend and I got food poisoning from Dominic's. We both ordered the shrimp and crab sandwich and fell ill within a short timespan. It was rather unfortunate because the food did taste good.

There's never been an item that I didn't like from Dominics. I can recognize Dominic's truck from a mile away so I always know my stomach is ready to feast when his truck is at Off the Grid. To this day, my most fave item on their menu is the carne asada fries, it was so mouth watering...now I want an order of it just thinking about it.

Hands down the best meal I ever had. Today on May 22nd, 2024 at Foster City Off The Grid Event I ordered Dominic's special item, Pasta Carbonara. It was the best meal I ever had from Dominic's. It was flavorful, not too heavy, and well balanced. The service was very nice. The clerk took my order right away. The food came piping hot even though I had to wait. But I was not in a rush at all. Their shrimp and crab sandwiches with garlic fries are better than anything I ate at Oracle Park. I wish they had a standard restaurant location in the area!Will be on the lookout for future Off The Grid events with Dominic's.

Their prime rib was... wow. We came upon this food truck at TreasureFest in San Rafael. THE WAITThere wasn't really a line, and it was roughly a 10-minute wait for my food.THE COSTTotal $25 with tax/tips.THE FOOD* Prime Rib ($20 with fries) - 5 starsThis was incredibly tender! A must-have. My one small issue was the bread was quite hard, despite that, I still give it 5 stars.* Garlic Fries - 3.5 starsLight crunch, but too light on the garlic. I forgot these were garlic fries, thought they were plain!

I be searching for this food truck but never find it, they should post a picture with the cross street so people can find the truck.

I saw the reviews and thought it was going to be good. Not remotely close to good. The employees were nice and I ordered the crab and shrimp sandwich with the fries. When I received my meal it was not hot. The sandwich was barely warm and the garlic fries were very limp and not hot, as if they did not even fry them. For $18 I would expect it to be tasty. And how do you mess up fries?!? I will likely not return to this truck again.
