"The special" is always my go to when I visit Dinosaurs. And the pork and shrimp springs rolls are a must!!! Service is always great. Super friendly staff. It's a small shop but they have seating right outside their door.

Solid banh mi spot serving up quick and tasty Vietnamese sandwiches! The bread is super duper fresh and tasted like it's cooked in house, which was my fav part. Loved the Asian snack choices they had too, honey butter chips for the win! Lots of tables outside. Grilled Chicken - Flavorful chunks for dark chicken meat with hints lemongrass. Just enough creamy sauce to go with the crisp veggies. Shaking Beef - Juicy beef slices with a savory and vinegary taste. Good amount of meat to veggie ratio. Shrimp & Pork Spring Roll - This could be a meal in itself! Very thick and generous with the protein. Shrimp was plump and no fishy aroma. Avocado Smoothie - Smooth and not too thick. Very subtle avocado taste, moreso tasting like vanilla for those who are wary of getting an avocado drink. Also, not overly sweet. Super refreshing on a hot day!

:( Swung by to grab a Banh Mi to watch the sunset with and I have been truly disappointed. Shaken Beef Banh Mi Cons:- $15 after tax - Filling portion is diabolical - bread wasn't fresh, the top was too hard and pokey. Middle was not soft enough - pickled veggies weren't as pickley as I'd except- too much mayo!!! Not enough everything else Pros:- lots of parking - pretty quick So so disappointed. I should've seen the red flags, no one spoke Vietnamese and the place is literally called Dinosaurs?.. Staff were speaking in Cantonese.. I guess it's okay but I wouldn't come back.

Finally, a place that gives me a lot of extra pâté when I ask for extra . I feel heard. Also it's a small shop (pick up only) that's located in a plaza with lots of parking spaces. Aka no parking struggles! If you're debating on a sandwich, get the shaken beef banh mi. The portions are pretty big and it's so good that you'd be in a battle with yourself to either save half of it for later so you can relive the joy of eating this delicious banh mi - or - live in the moment and just eat the whole thing. Plan b, the smart choice, would be to buy an extra sandwich. Do what I should've done and order two.

I love a good Vietnamese sandwich. I LOVE a good Vietnamese sandwich even more when their tofu sandwich is vegan as is. Not only is it vegan as is, it comes with veganaise! They have vegan fish sauce too!The bread is really good! I didn't care for the the shreds of tofu. Maybe it's because I am used to slices or chunks of tofu. The flavor was good don't get me wrong and I would absolutely order it again. We also ordered the Tofu and Taro spring roll. I love me a good spring roll as well. The only thing I didn't like was there was sliced apples?? inside?? Would order again just without the apples. I like apples, just not in my spring rolls. It's not often that you can get a dairy free Vietnamese coffee or a Thai tea and they do both with condensed Coconut Milk. So if you're vegan or dairy free, you've got some options. We love to be thought of over here! The inside is small but there are a few tables outside. There wasn't a huge sign above their store but its at the end by the small convenience store is. I sadly don't live in Pacifica anymore but still have deep rooted connections there. See you next month!

We love Dinosaur's sandwiches (our gotos are The Special and Meatball) and I was just introduced to their fresh spring rolls last week at this Pacifica location. The pork & shrimp fresh spring was especially yummy with oh-so-good smokiness in the grilled pork. Ordering doesn't take long and this location has a few 2-person tables outside for customers' use.I went back today to pick up lunch and sadly found that they are temporarily closed due to a fire in the production kitchen. Hope everyone's ok and looking forward to their reopening.

This is my usual go-to spot for Banh Mi sandwiches in the northern Peninsula. Granted, you can get banh mi sandwiches at many local vietnamese restaurants, but I think the best sandwiches are found at places like these, where they just focus on one area.Parking is ample and easy to get to. When the weather is nice and sunny, get a sandwich and eat it on the tables outside the shop. Inside the shop there are no tables so it's mainly a grab and go type of place.Service is fast and friendly. My favorite sandwich is the "The Special" which is your standard vietnamese combo cold cut sandwich with pate. I've also tried the shaking beef before, but didn't love it because I ate it an hour later after getting it and the sandwich was all soggy b/c of the sauce. Overall, this is a great place if you're in search of a banh mi and while you're at it, check out Pacifica and the sun/beach/coast on a nice day!

From my cousin-in-law's suggestion, I found this hidden gem inside a quiet strip mall in Pacifica. This cooks up some really delicious Banh Mi sandwiches outside of San Jose. I tried the Shaking Beef and it was "da bomb". The beef was cut into nice thin slices not those hard to eat chunks of beef like other places. This was prepared like getting a cheesesteak but Vietnamese style. The menu is pretty limited but what they do offer is definitely worth trying. If you ever find yourself in Pacifica and want to bring some sandwiches to the pier to go whale watching, Dinosaurs might be your spot. They also take calls using a pre-millennial pay phone which is quite nostalgic.

I met chris the owner a long time ago at a pho spot and he told me to come to his shop. I been gradually coming here every once in a while when in the neighborhood. Everything is made fresh, and the quality is amazing. I know they have one in frisco but I like this location the most. The taste is good, and get an ice coffee too.
